Ready to pick up right where we left off?!
On Sunday, boyfriend worked during the day and my family drove to the Grand Canyon. I was honestly planning to go with, just to spend more time with them, (even though I was scared of the glass bridge and seeing rocks really isn’t my thing) BUT, we only have one key for the apartment and boyfriend brought it with him. I didn’t want to leave our door unlocked all day… okay?!
When boyfriend got home, he brought me out to Viet Noodle Bar. 🙂 We both had missed it so much!!!
Of course, we started with our beloved spring rolls and egg rolls. ❤
And, since our eyes were bigger than our stomachs, we mistakenly ordered two bowls of the vermicelli noodle salad, when we just needed one.
By the time we finished eating, my family had returned to their hotel. We paid our tab and went straight to meet them. It was already pretty late and everyone was exhausted except me and the kiddos. Boyfriend and I brought them out to the pool again while my dad ordered everyone Buffalo Wild Wings.
When he came back with our chicken, we got out of the pool and went up to their room to eat. I had 3 Blazin’ Wings + 1 Spicy Garlic and boyfriend had 4 Spicy Garlic + 1 Blazin’.
We went back home when we finished eating.
The kitties were happy to have us back. ❤
Well, Sushi and Benji were. Twinkle Star hated us. I think we smelled like chlorine even though we showered and everything. She was rude every night we went to the pool?
Monday, June 15th, was my 25th birthday!
Boyfriend had to work and my family went to see Red Rock Canyon. They were still out there when I woke up.
Around 3 PM, my dad came to pick me up and we went to the Laos Market for papaya salad and pho!!!!
Man, it was good. I want to go back already!
My dad drove us around different neighborhoods for awhile until, we found Craig Ranch Regional Park. My gosh!!! I don’t know how we’ve never been here. It was HUGE with SO MUCH to do.
It took us about an hour to walk around the whole place and we didn’t even get to play on any playground equipment. It was all “closed off” and there was a park patrol driving around on one of those little carts telling people so once in awhile.
My dad said since there was only one guy, he wouldn’t have time to yell at us again LOL. He let the boys jump on a few things for a few minutes here and there. Mostly for pictures.
I am telling you, there were like tons of nets to climb on, a basketball court, a bunch of grilling spots, three or four separate, fun playgrounds, tons of creative and large slides… just so, so much and it wasn’t overly crowded with people, either. Everyone had their own space.
We all loved it and only wish we could’ve played more and legally. 😛
There was also a pretty big pond full of tons of different animals. I was SHOCKED when I saw how humongous these fishies were! Can you see them under there?! WOWZA!
There were so many little turtles, too. They’d pop their heads out and just swim around looking at us but, they also swam completely underwater. I couldn’t stop screaming about how cute they were!!! ❤
I was devastated to see how much trash was lined up in their home though. 😦 WHY DO PEOPLE LITTER LIKE THAT!!!
While we were still walking around, boyfriend called and said he was about done with work. He said he needed to make a quick stop at the dispensary and smoke shop before he’d head to the hotel.
I don’t know how I couldn’t tell that when we were on the phone, he was actually at Albertsons picking out the prettiest, summery dyed daisies and a “Happy Birthday” balloon for me. ❤ ❤
When we met up with him, in the parking lot of the hotel, he came out and surprised me!!!
My dad and his wife took the boys to the pool AGAIN while boyfriend and I went to Von’s to get me a birthday cake!!! 😀
I definitely knew I wanted one made of ice cream. Von’s had only two to choose from so, I went with the coffee-flavored Mudd Pie (duh!).
We rushed them out of the pool to sing me “Happy Birthday” and have a slice of cake before it all melted. Then, we let the boys go back to the pool for a little longer while we decided on a place for us all to go out one last time.
It was already almost 9 PM so, I was like… let’s go back to Chili’s! I wasn’t starving but, I knew I could use a margarita or two. 😉
This time, I had the Blueberry and Pineapple. It was even better than the Jackberry! I swallowed it down and got another one right away!
My dad ordered queso for the table and didn’t even know it. When it was put in front of us, he was like, “what’s that?” LOL. The waitress came back and said, “you pointed at that on the menu” and he said, “oh yeah, because I saw the chips. I remember now. Thank you!” Hahaha. It was a bit salty but, still disappeared in less than a minute.
I can’t remember what everyone ordered but, here’s my dad, one of my little brother’s, mine and boyfriend’s plates.
I had their Steak Nachos. The chips were burnt to such a nice crisp, absolutely scrumptious.
Boyfriend got some type of Smokehouse burger… also freakin’ delicious.
When we finished up, my dad’s wife took the kiddos back to the hotel and we said our goodbyes to them.
BUT, there was still one thing left to do…
My dad, boyfriend, and I went to the Silverton Casino, the nearest one to their hotel. We played our favorite machines, Lightning and Game King (for Caveman Keno). I also had two small pineapple and Patrons and boyfriend had a shot of Crown and a few Coronas.
Around 1 AM, we drove back to their hotel to get our car, gave my dad hugs goodbye and then, went home.
My best friend from 4th-6th grade posted a picture of us on Facebook. I just had to save it and share with you guys!!
So freakin’ funny, right?!? ❤
On Tuesday, boyfriend had to work during the day again. When he got home, he made us some pork chops alongside an Asian Salad Kit.
Yum yum yum!!
Yesterday, my birthday gift from the beautiful, Rossy arrived in the mail!!!
She got me my VERY FIRST Colourpop Eyeshadow Palette and she found just the perfect shades for me. I am so so SO excited to have it. ❤ (Thank you again, love!!!)
Boyfriend was at work during the day and got home around 5 PM.
He made us spaghetti with meat sauce and garlic “Parma Zaan” bread. We got the fake cheese sprinkles from a Vegan Cuts box awhile back. It didn’t really taste like much…
I played a bit of the Sims 4, read some blogs, and watched Riverdale.
Today, boyfriend finally has the day off!! He called our tax lady to try to make an appointment but, she still wasn’t able to make us one? She wasn’t sure what times were available and still hasn’t called us back. I’m annoyed because I just want to get them done and over with! The deadline will be here sooner than I know it!
I pretty much started typing this Journal Entry right after my shower and blunt. 🙂
Boyfriend finished making our food in the middle of it. He made bomb ass lemon pepper chicken thighs, oven-baked potatoes in fry form, and corn. He even concocted a delicious fry/chicken sauce to use for dipping ❤ (you can see it in the middle square).
NOW, we are all caught up!! 😀
See you tomorrow for my Five Friday Faves. ❤
