Taco Bowl

My Review

Okay, these tortilla “bowls” were so funny. Boyfriend made an aluminum foil ball and laid the tortilla over it and it baked in the oven that way. We were surprised it actually formed a bit of a spot for the filling. It wasn’t the perfect shape but, it was definitely fun. The meat was seasoned well, too, nothing to complain about. πŸ™‚

Ingredients You’ll Need

  • 4 flour tortilla s (8 inch)
  • 1 Tbsp. chili powder, divided
  • 3/4 lb. extra-lean ground beef
  • 1 cup match-like carrot sticks
  • 1/2 cup plus 2 Tbsp. salsa, divided
  • 2 Tbsp. mayonnaise
  • 4 cups tightly packed torn salad greens
  • 1 large tomato, chopped
  • 1/2 cup Mexican Style 2% Milk Finely Shredded Four Cheese (we just did not use any cheese)
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro

My Review

We made another chicken and dumplings soup, way back in the beginning of my Recipe Reviews series and it turned out way better than this. The dumplings were just so smushy and the broth was bland as heck.

Ingredients You’ll Need

  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 cup gluten free flour (we used regular flour)
  • 32 oz Chicken broth
  • 1 bag frozen mixed vegetables
  • 3/4 tsp himalayan salt
  • 1 tsp salt or to taste
  • 1/2 tsp pepper or to taste
  • 3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup gluten free flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil or safflower oil
  • 1/3 cup dairy free milk unsweetened (we used Almond Breeze Almondmilk Original Unsweetened)
  • 3/4 tsp salt

Little Potato Maple Glazed Sausage Sheet Pan Dinner

My Rating: 5 out of 5

My Review

These huge brats from Sprouts’ deli were fantastic!! First of all, I couldn’t believe the size of them and they tasted better than any packaged brat I’ve ever had before. I love a savory and sweet mix so, this meal was definitely one of my favorites. The baby tomatoes and maple syrup added such a delicate sweetness!

Ingredients You’ll Need

  • 1.5 lbs varietal Little potatoes
  • 8 fresh or smoked bratwurst style sausage
  • 2 zucchini
  • 1/2 onion
  • 2 cups cherry tomatoes
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp. mixed herb seasoning
  • 2 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
  • 1 Tbsp. maple syrup

  1. That taco bowl…omg I need that right now holy effing shit, it looks amazing. Okay the soup really looks kinda gross. And that sausage with grilled vege is killer WOW. Finally the pictures accurately reflect how good the foods taste HAHA!

  2. Man that food looks good! Too bad about the chicken ‘n dumplings (my favorite!!!!) Definitely trying the recipe with the Brats although it won’t be QUITE the same since we don’t have a Sprouts so I’m stuck with Johnsonville Brats. LOL

  3. That sausage looks so good! The taco bowl looks good too. Kind of reminds me of the homemade nacho dip I’ve been eating recently. Just cook up some hamburger and add in taco seasoning. Then I add toppings like shredded cheese, salsa, onions, jalapenos, and sour cream. Then use tortilla chips to dip. Tastes just like eating tacos, but in a different format.
