1. The Ultimate Harry Potter Drinking Game on The Odyssey
Rossy had sent me this link to The Odyssey’s Ultimate Harry Potter Drinking Game quite awhile ago but, boyfriend and I only played it recently. We had such a blast while watching Deathly Hallows Part 1. There are different sets of rules for each film and they aren’t generic, boring ones, either. They all actually made me laugh because I hadn’t noticed how often certain things happened.
2. Animal Crossing: New Leaf & Pocket Camp
I have had Animal Crossing: New Leaf for my Nintendo 3DS for as long as I can remember but, when I first got it, I really didn’t understand anything so I safely stashed it away and never looked back.
When the Pocket Camp app released, I remember tons of people were obsessed with it but, at that time, I didn’t download it or even give it a chance. I was dead set on thinking it wasn’t a game for me but, NOW, since New Horizons came out for the Nintendo Switch (earlier this week)… and even my guy cousin has been loving it… I knew it was time for me to give New Leaf another whirl and man, am I so glad I did.
It’s such a cute, fun, creative, and silly game. If you’ve ever played it, you know it takes a lot of patience! I’m playing without time traveling and it’s so hard to wait for new content but, at least, it gives me something to look forward to everyday while stuck inside.
Pocket Camp is a LOT more fast-paced and it doesn’t matter what time you play. You rarely have to wait a whole day for new things but, it’s also less detailed and not as personalized.
If you’ve never played before, both games are about collecting various items, making friends with the adorable characters, creating/designing a space that represents YOU, and expressing yourself through different pieces of clothing.
In New Leaf, you have a whole town to develop and your own house to decorate– you’re the mayor! And in Pocket Camp, you get an entire camping area, cabin, camper, and garden. You’re the manager of the entire campsite! I just freakin’ love it.
3. Multiplayer XBOX One Games
Boyfriend and I finished Overcooked 2 and A Way Out together this week (they are both available for free on Game Pass, if you subscribe)!
Overcooked allows you to play solo but, it was so much more fun with the two of us. I always play these sort of time-management, cooking games on my phone but, never have I ever on a console. It was awesome!
For each level, the scene and recipes change, you have to figure out the right rhythm/groove, delegate tasks between one another, and get enough orders out as quick as possible! Things get real difficult with conveyor belts, fire throwing, and more. It took us about 3 days to 3-star every level! I was pretty sad when it was over because I wanted to keep playing!
A Way Out will only let you play if you have another player with you or online. One of you will be Vincent and the other, Leo. You start in prison, where you guys meet as cell neighbors and from there, you help each other escape and so on. It wasn’t very difficult and it didn’t take long to get to the ending, you just have to communicate and work together. The story was extremely captivating and there are tons of cut-scenes in between everything, which would usually annoy me and make me quit but, not with this one. I needed to see everything! And, I’m pretty sure there are different options throughout the game that can change the outcome, too. Like, a “choose your own adventure” kind of story, y’know? Super cool.
4. New Contacts!!
I had been using the Air Optix brand of contacts ever since I first started wearing them (about 5 or 6 years ago). I never noticed too much dryness or any irritations UNLESS, I accidentally fell asleep or showered with them in. I came to think that was normal but, when I went for my annual exam last month, the eye doctor switched me to a new brand called, Biofinity. These are 10x thinner and do not stick to my eyeballs, at all, not even if I want to take a wee nap. I never knew that was possible! I’m so happy now!
5. I Love Me by Demi Lovato
Demi, Demi, Demi. She always makes me tear up and this new song of hers was no different. It hit me hard. I don’t know why my empathy for her is so strong, I feel it in my own chest when anyone else tears her down. She is, 100%, badass and I love watching her gain her confidence back. ❤ I just want to scream, “you’re perfect!” in her face.
What have YOU been loving this week?!
