Hello there beautiful people!! It’s been about 10 days since I last wrote a Journal Entry. Obviously, things have drastically changed since then, due to the worldwide pandemic.

My job shut its doors on March 18th and claims that they’ll reopen in 30 days from then. I would love to go back and have things be the way they were before but, unless we are *all clear* of this virus, I won’t feel safe. It doesn’t seem like that amount of time will be long enough for this all to go away. Especially with so many people refusing to follow social distancing rules.

Boyfriend and I have been staying at home as much as possible since the 16th. I was working up until that point because admittedly, I was not taking this deadly virus seriously. Now, I’m not only worried about my dire financial situation but, I’m also paranoid that I’ll have symptoms showing up in a week.

I feel healthy as ever but, I’ve read enough articles to scare me…

On Sunday the 15th, I went to work just knowing it was going to be one of my last days. I was so so so freakin’ lucky to meet an awesomely generous army man. He bought us a bottle of PatrΓ³n and spent his entire night with me in the VIP rooms. We ended around 3 AM and we first started talking around 11 PM.

We were almost the only people in the club the whole night and the only ones upstairs for most of the time, too. Our crowds were getting smaller and smaller as the week progressed.

When boyfriend picked me up, we made our very last restaurant outing!!

We chose Viet Noodle Bar, of course, and it was SO empty… I nearly cried. There was literally ONE other customer besides us…

We had an order of egg rolls, spring rolls, and vermicelli salad– all to share. ❀

I’m glad we were able to support them and eat their food one last time. I miss them so much already!

The next night, Monday the 16th, was my very last one at work. 😦 There was a group of men from Singapore who were stuck in Vegas for another week until their country would let them return. I spent the night at their table, playing drinking games while one of the men paid me to just sit there with/entertain them until they left.

Looking back, I should’ve pushed for more! I just… did not think it was going to be the last amount of income I would make. All of my managers, DJs, house moms, even co-workers were saying that we wouldn’t close down, like, no matter what and they were so sure of it, too.

Until… we did. Tuesday the 17th, was the last night we were open but by then, I had already read too much about how quickly the germs were spreading. I couldn’t bring myself to go back anymore.

I wanted to stay indoors and never go outside again on this day. My panic and anxiety were at an all-time high.

We went to Albertsons to pick up some more food, for us, and another bag for the cats, too. I had tears in my eyes while there because I didn’t want to be so close to other people, lol. Like I said, I was freaking out, okay? Even though *I* was the one who was stupidly giving lap dances just the day before…

We also stocked up on more weed, water, and blunt wraps on the way home.

Boyfriend’s been making us dinners off the top of his head with no recipes whatsoever, and each one has been SO wonderful. I am more than lucky to have such a chef in the house during this!! ❀

For our first night “locked in,” he made us beer brats on egg buns with baked beans and canned green beans. It was simple yet, extremely satisfying.

On Wednesday the 18th AKA Day #2, he made us a seriously delicious and heartwarming chicken noodle soup.

It was actually the best one I’ve ever tasted. Better than any that I’ve ever featured in my Recipe Reviews, and I’m not just sayin’ that!!

Thursday the 19th, we heated up the soup leftovers and ate the rest of it.

On the 20th, he made us breakfast steaks with onions, potato fries, and frozen mixed veg.

It was fantastic, you guys!! His fries were so cute (and tasty). πŸ™‚

At midnight, it was officially boyfriend’s 25th birthday!! I had luckily remembered to pick up the mini assorted cheesecake for him when we were at Albertsons so when the time came, I lit a match and stuck it into his individual piece for him to blow out (after singing “Happy Birthday”).

He chose strawberry, I chose the super chocolatey one. They were alright but, not very cheesey, if you ask me!

On the 21st, I said “happy birthday, babe!!” every hour. πŸ˜‰ Not even exaggerating!

For dinner, he made us each a chicken breast, a medley of baked baby potatoes, and broccoli.

When we finished eating, we played some XBOX games together until it was around 11 PM… then, we poured up some cocktails!!

We played this Harry Potter drinking game that Rossy sent to me for Deathly Hallows Part 1 and were out of alcohol by like, almost an hour in. The amount of times they said “horcrux” was ridiculous!! We got pretty wasted. πŸ˜€

Before it was even over, I decided to turn off the film and told boyfriend to choose two songs for me to dance to. I put my hair in a cute bun and wore his fave little slinky, black and purple, see-through lace dress. I came out when the song started playing, I’m pretty sure he chose one by Halsey and uh… we never did get to the second one. πŸ˜›

He woke up the next day with a smile on his face and said, “that was fun last night.” ❀ My heart melted. I was so happy that we were able to find a way to celebrate while stuck at home, but, I still feel sad that I couldn’t take him out for a nice dinner or some fancy cocktails like he so deserves.

Probably before or during Harry Potter (can’t remember), he made us these tuna salad sandwiches for a snack. Again, I’m not just saying this but, it was the *best* one I’ve ever had and he made it all on his own!!

The chips were Cape Cod’s Sweet and Spicy JalapeΓ±o flavor.

On the 22nd, boyfriend’s mom was so, so generous, kind, caring etc. She sent us a bit of money through Walmart. I wasn’t very happy about having to go there but, we had to get it somehow, right?

I let boyfriend go in there alone and waited for him in the car. Afterwards, we went to Albertsons (yet again) to pick up even more food so we could stay at home without going out to shop for as long as possible.

We were able to score a 4 pack of toilet paper and 1 pack of ground chicken while there, too!! Woohoo!!

That night, boyfriend made us a chicken marinara pasta.

On Monday, he made us honey, soy, lime-flavored salmon, popcorn shrimp, and cut green beans.

I was super impressed, especially since everything was bought frozen!!

Yesterday, he made us a ground chicken stir-fry with the last of our brown rice.

Aaaaaand TODAY, he made us a perfectly crispy kielbasa sheet pan!!

Other than eating, I’ve spent most of my time playing video games… on PC, Nintendo 3DS, XBOX, and even my phone. I’ve found a few good ones I’ll share with you on Friday. πŸ™‚

I also started reading a new book last night even though I still haven’t finished Love, Rosie. It’s was just dragging on for me and I’m already really into this new one. I’ll probably share it with you on Friday, as well!

TV’s been a bit of a bore to me, honestly, but, I did watch mostly all of the Good Girls S3 episodes that are currently available on Hulu and have been keeping up with The Voice and Masked Singer.

We haven’t watched a season of The Voice in the longest but, with the addition of Nick Jonas as a judge, it made me want to check it out again. Adam Levine was so annoying to me anyways, and the new banter between Blake and Nick is even better and funnier! I’m glad we tuned in but, I’m concerned that there will be no ending (due to this pandemic)? Or has the winner already been chosen? I thought the finale was live? I don’t know. If you do, please, ease my mind.

How Sushi lays on my lap when I am pretzel-style on the couch. Every. Time.

If you didn’t notice, I have been taking lots of pictures of my cats, too. We’ve been spending all our days together so it’s hard not to, lol. I’ll save some for the next post, though. πŸ™‚

Hope you all are safe, well, and stocked up!! ❀

  2. Hunida, I’m sending you all my love right now, I hope you’re doing okay. Remember this too shall pass, it’s so lovely of boyfriends Mum to have sent you some money, I hope that eased things for you a bit ❀ If there's anything I can do just say!!!! & Happy belated birthday to your boyfriend of course, it sounds like you made it special for him despite not being able to go out! Being together is the most important thing of all, at the end of the day. Everything else is just a bonus! I totally want to play that drinking game though, next time I'm in Vegas we have got to go hard, haha!!!! Oh, & it sounds like your boyfriend totally needs to do his own recipe book right!? I'm glad you've been enjoying his meals.

Stay safe Hunida. so much love and light to you! ❀

    1. Thank you, Jennie ❀ ❀ I hope you're doing okay as well!! & I'm sending my love right back!! I cannot wait for this to pass. It is probably the worst situation any of us has ever been in. & I am more than grateful for his momma. ❀ It really helped, for sure.

Boyfriend says "thank you!" & I did what I could for his bday but, we really do love going out for a celebration so I was sad. 😦 But you are right, being together is all that matters!!

The drinking game is SO fun, I just posted the link to it in my FFF so check it out. πŸ˜€ We definitely have to go hard next time you return!! Please!! πŸ˜€

I always tell him he should write his recipes down but he thinks they're nothing special, no matter what I say! I'm really lucky to have someone that can cook. I don't know what I'd be eating without him LOL.

      ❀ you too, babe!!! ❀

  3. Our pets are having the BEST time!

Yeah, Yann and I were officially laid off on Monday. Bah. And because I got sick before my workplace closed their doors, I’ve been social distancing/isolated since the 12th!

I’ve decided that I’m gonna buy The Sims. If I can’t have a life, I might as well adopt a virtual life!

    1. Lol our pets are sooo happy that we never leave, aren’t they?! πŸ˜›

I’m so sorry you were laid off, it’s crazy how many people have been. I hope Canada is taking care of their citizens better than the US is. & my gosh, are you still feeling sick since the 12th?! Or just still in isolation since then??

You definitely should buy The Sims. It is so relaxing & fun to have pretty much an entire virtual life. If you do, I hope you love it as much as I do! ❀

  4. My anxiety has been at a high, too. My husband and sister-in-law (roommate) are both considered essential and still working while baby and I are quarantined at the house! Sending all my love! πŸ’— Happy belated birthday to your boyfriend….mine was the 23rd!

    1. Gosh, I don’t know what’s worse, still having to work during this crisis or entirely losing your job & not getting paid. Both are just not good situations to be in!!

I am glad that you & baby have been able to stay indoors as much as possible though. ❀ I'm so sorry I missed your birthday, Carly. Happy belated to YOU!! ❀

  5. Happy belated birthday to the boyfriend!! You guys are so cute! I love that he’s getting so creative and making meals on the fly with the ingredients you guys have. That’s awesome! I know there’s so much information and it just keeps coming at us but just remember you are doing your part by staying home and staying healthy!

    1. He says, “thank you!” πŸ™‚ & I’m so lucky that he’s here to make me meals, I would be eating ramen noodles everyday without him lol. I kind of stopped reading the news about the virus & only updates about our state’s actions. I’ll wait until things are actually certain & not tons of different *guesses.*

I have been home for soooo long lol I am gonna melt in here but, I know it’s for the best!! ❀

      1. Aww you’re welcome! Oh man, boys are the best esp when you find the right one!
I’ve been hit or miss with the news too but mostly have been reading up on CDC stuff to be prepared for work.
I keep reminding myself that the more consistent we are with this whole thing, hopefully, the less time we have to go through it and the higher chance of lives being saved! You’re doing great! Keep it up!! ❀

  6. We are so lucky we have blokes who can rustle up a really tasty meal from seemingly nothing. It’s my blokes birthday in about ten days so I said I’d buy him an online gaming pass for PlayStation, which seems even more apt these days! As an early birthday treat and support them we went to our fave Indian place (the night before lock down) and after ten minutes we were the only people there – special but sad and strange too. I feel sorry for people truly stuck on their own because they can’t travel. We are very lucky really. Xx

    1. Yes, we are SO lucky to have them!! I would be eating frozen meals & ramen everyday otherwise lol. Happy early birthday to YOUR bloke!! The gaming passes are totally worth it– he’s gonna be so happy. πŸ˜€ I’m so glad you guys were able to fit in the Indian dinner right before lockdown. I also feel bad for those are truly all alone. Having a partner during this time is so important, I feel like. Maybe even a friend or family member, but completely alone? Terrible. 😦

  7. Your kitties! 😻 I’m sorry to hear your work closed but there’s just so much uncertainty that you can’t take any chances. Hope you’re staying safe and healthy! πŸ™‚

  8. Happy belated birthday to the boyfriend. I understand your anxiety about the virus from hell . I just got back from a trip to Las Vegas and San Francisco on March 4. It’s sad to see Las Vegas and New York City so empty . I understand your anxiety , we’re going through this badly here in New York and I’m praying that this too shall pass. If only we had taken this seriously in January and not made jokes about it. Take care of yourself and the boyfriend. Above all please follow the instructions from Governor Sisalak, in Nevada just like what we’re doing here in New York . Take care and keep your posts coming.

    1. He says, “thank you!!” πŸ˜€ & it’s seriously depressing to see the empty photos of Las Vegas & NY. I hope you’re doing okay over there, Jo Ann, please stay safe!!! ❀ & I so wish I had not made any jokes but, I admit that I did. This is so much more serious than any of us ever thought. 😦 I wish Sisolak would take just a few more steps to get rid of this virus but I am proud of what he has done so far as well. I'm def following all his orders!

      1. It is. All of us were making jokes about it but now its serious as a heartattack. Definately follow the orders of the local government cause the Federal government doesnt seem to know its head from its ass. Stay safe. Hugs and kisses to you, the boyfriend and the furbabies.

  9. That’s so lovely that you and your boyfriend were still able to celebrate his birthday! It’s such an uncertain and nerve-racking time, and the blow to the economy is going to be tremendous. But we’ll all get through this. It’s just important to listen and follow your state’s guidelines no matter how drastic they may seem. The more closely we follow them, the faster we can get back to normal life. 🀞🏻🀞🏻❀️❀️

    1. It was our first time celebrating his bday at home since we’ve been together so that makes it special, I guess lol. I am glad we were able to spend it together above all else, though. ❀ & I just can't wait for this all to end! I've been following my state's orders but, not everyone else is so this is going to take so much longer than expected! But, yes, we will get through this, won't we?! 😦 ❀

  10. Sorry you’re dealing with so much stress related to the virus and the financial implications. I have been working from home, but I’m very anxious given that I graduate in May and will need a full time job. Not the best time to graduate.

However, I’m glad that we’re able to celebrate your BF’s bday in a way that still felt special! The cheesecake looks super yummy!

I feel like nothing has been calling to me from a TV perspective; however, I did start watching Tiger King on Netflix and it’s actually kinda interesting lol!

Stay safe! πŸ’œ PS glad you were finally able to find some TP!!
