Good evening and happy Saturday! I just realized that tomorrow/tonight is daylight savings. I HATE losing one hour, especially while at work. It is so confusing lol.
Last time I wrote was Thursday. That night at work was pretty boring, there were lots of dancers and not much of a crowd. I got there around 11:30 PM and left at a little before 3 AM.
Yesterday, I decided to reschedule my tax appointment for next week because it was just way *too* much for me to handle this week. Luckily we did call again because somehow she didn’t even have us down for the date we originally asked for? She better have gotten it right this time…
For dinner boyfriend made us this bland meatball soup. 😛 The day went by routinely but, work was so, so much better for me. I was there until nearly 7 AM. Phew!
I was extremely grateful but, I’ve noticed our crowds in the past have been waaaay bigger during this time of year. That dang virus has people canceling their trips left and right. 😡 It has really been killing the vibe/atmosphere. My co-workers and management are crabby, for good reason but, still— it’s not nice to be around all the time.
Today, I woke up around 3:30 PM, took a shower and got ready for the day quickly. We went to Greens & Proteins for dinner, which we haven’t been to in a hot minute! We used to go to the one downtown but, I guess they close at 5 PM now?
It was our first visit to this location– I liked how spacious it was.
And, cutely decorated, too!
For starters, we had the Ahi Tuna Tostadas. I don’t know why I always forget these have so much avocado on them. We order them almost every time and never remember to ask them to remove it.
Boyfriend also ordered a big plate of sweet potato fries since his entree didn’t come with them.
Kind of annoying that they gave them to us way before his Steak Tacos though.
He took the photo (above), by the way. 😉 All credit goes to him!!
I only had one piece of the meat and it was pretty tasty. He liked them only alright, though. He said there was a weird taste to some of it and rated it a 3 out of 5.
My bison burger was awesome. I tried their vegan cheese for the first time and was actually a fan. It tasted wonderful on top of my patty!! My sweet potato fries were much crispier and warmer than boyfriend’s.
I also picked up three pastries, LOL. The banana chocolate loaf and carrot cake loaf– which I’ve had before and the walnut brownie that I’ve never tried. They’re all vegan and the ones I’ve already tried are just mouthwateringggg. I definitely have high hopes for the brownie!
We walked to the Starbucks right next door for our iced quad espressos, stopped at the ATM, the watermill and gas station then, finally headed home! I can’t believe it’s already past 8 PM!
I better get going on my hair and makeup now.
Hope the rest of your weekend is the best ever! ❤
