My Review

Oooo, yeah, this was really freakin’ delicious! The bacon grease and onion juices were exactly what ground turkey needs to stray away from becoming too dry. They were the perfect two ingredients to mix inside– everything tasted awesome together.

We served it with… asparagus and baked beans

Ingredients You’ll Need

  • 1 tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 large vidalia onion, sliced
  • 1 large spanish onion, sliced
  • 1 large red onion, sliced

  • 1 lb. of bacon
  • 1 pound of mushrooms (portabella or baby bella), sliced
  • 2 lb. ground turkey
  • 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped

My Review

Boyfriend added a bit of cayenne along with the Cajun spice mix and that gave the chicken such a nice, spicy kick! The skin was wonderfully crisp and the inside was tender. The veggies on the side were a bit bland, though. I wish the spices were added on top of them, as well.

Ingredients You’ll Need

  • 1 1/2 lb. (750g) chicken thighs
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper
  • 2 teaspoons Cajun spice mix, or to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 5 garlic cloves, minced
  • 3 carrots, sliced
  • 1/2 red bell pepper, cut into strips
  • 1/4 lb (110g) button mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/2 cup (125ml) low-sodium chicken broth
  • 2 scallions, sliced for garnish

My Review

I’ve said it many times before but, it would be a REALLY bad recipe if it could ruin kielbasa. We loved this soup even if it was a bit simple. There was a lot of different and fun textures!

Ingredients You’ll Need

  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 1 large piece of celery, chopped
  • 4 cups cabbage, chopped
  • 1 cup green beans, chopped
  • 4 cups water
  • 4 cups vegetable broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 14 oz kielbasa, sliced

  1. Aw I was so sad to see the cajun chicken receive a lower/average rating. It sounded like it would be delicious, but it seems like maybe if the sides were more flavorful then that dish would have been more of a hit! Also, the stuffed turkey burger sounds like heaven!!

    1. These were so good!! Hopefully you got Alex to make you some. 😉 & yeah… I agree! One skillet/pan meals do fall short often because it can really only include foods that cook at the same pace.
