January 01, 2020 (!)
Happy New Year, fellow bloggers and blog readers!! Are we saying ‘twenty-twenty‘ or ‘two thousand twenty‘? I think they both sound alright but, have found myself saying the former more often. What about you?
Last time I wrote, I was about to sign off and get ready for work. I did just that, got there around 11:30 PM and stayed until almost 5 AM. I was starving by the time boyfriend picked me up so, we stopped at Bar Code Burger on the way home. 🙂
I was a little tipsy but, I noticed they changed up their entire menu’s design, added, and subtracted a few items. I still went with one of my tried and trues, the Hangover (to prevent one haha).
Boyfriend took a risk and tried a new addition, it had pepperjack cheese, french fries and that’s about all we both can remember, lol… he said, “I would have rather had my Bar Code Burger.”
We went with the coconut shrimp for our appetizer, another new addition. I thought they could have gave us one extra shrimp and no fries at all– I would have been much happier. The sauce tasted like a mix of both ketchup and cocktail. I don’t know.
On Sunday, I was soooo lazy and wanted to do absolutely nothing. I asked boyfriend to go to Sprouts without me and pick out whatever he wanted to make us some quick and easy meals.
That night, we had spaghetti! He bought a jarred sauce but, totally doctored it up with mushrooms, onions, and extra spices. It was pretty tasty. 🙂
I wrote my Recipe Reviews and spent the rest of my night watching Love Island Australia.
On Monday, I wanted to go to work so, I tried to wake up a little earlier than usual. I was up and moving around 2 PM, which I was proud about. I got showered, shaved, and moisturized and then, boyfriend made us sandwiches for dinner.
He put ham, pastrami, lettuce, tomato, and mayo on them. Mm, mm. ❤ For my side: BBQ Kettle Chips!
I was pleasantly surprised to see how big the crowd was when I got to work around 10:30 PM. I stayed busy nearly the entire time but, around 3 AM… I was getting hungry and weak.
I am definitely about to have my period, lol.
When boyfriend picked me up, we went to Buffalo Wild Wings again!!
We started out with the biggest thing of nachos!!! It was freakin’ amazing and I will be ordering it every single time I go now… I don’t care how bad my stomach hurts afterwards!
We shared a large-size with 4 different flavors: Blazin’, Spicy Garlic, Parmesan Garlic, and Hot. When we first got them out of the kitchen, they were cold… so, we sent them back and got new ones way too quickly. Before biting into one, I knew they weren’t going to be all of a sudden hot but, this time, they were even colder!
Luckily, our server was awesome enough to get the chef to actually drop some fresh chicken into the fryers (he admitted they had been sitting) and also, gave us 50% off our bill. Woohoo!
Yesterday, NEW YEAR’S EVE, we woke up at nearly 6 PM, stayed in, ate our BWW leftovers, and were watching the rest of Love Island Australia together UNTIL, I accidentally fell asleep during the finale and slept about 15 minutes past midnight.
Yes, even through boyfriend kissing me and the fireworks! I think this is the 3rd year in a row I have been asleep at midnight on New Year’s.
When I woke up, I snuggled with my boys, watched the finale, and then started a new show, United States of Tara. I already finished the entire first season (between yesterday and today). It’s really good and I love seeing all the old school gadgets like iPods and Sidekick phones (it was filmed in 2009).
I went back to bed around 5 AM.
Today, I woke up at almost 1 PM, read some blogs, set my 2020 Goodreads Reading Challenge to 25 Books and started my first one of the year. I can’t remember what it’s called but, it’s interesting as heck so far!
We made a run to Sprouts for some more groceries and then, to the Laos Market for some shrimp chips, instant noodle packs, a scoop of sticky rice, and a tub of very, very spicy papaya salad. ❤
I nearly ate the whole order, with short cool down breaks in between. I cried a little, my tongue is numb, and my stomach is on fire but, I am happy and it was more than worth it.
For dinner, we tried another Victoria’s Vegan Alfredo Sauce. We really loved the pesto and original flavor so, it was red pepper’s turn. This one was a bit sour and not as creamy… I would not recommend it over the others.
I was watching United Stated of Tara before typing this so, I’m gonna get back to that and also give myself a mani-pedi. I think I’m gonna do a dark blue. 🙂
Hope you all had a fun and safe New Year’s Eve and Day!
