Hi!! I hope your Monday has been going swell and that your weekend was a blast!!
Last time I wrote was Wednesday, I didn’t do much besides write that Journal Entry, eat dinner, and play Sims 4. I’ve already finished University with one of my sims and became an expert Spellcaster with another. The new packs were fun but, a bit easy and rather quick to get through.
On Thursday!! My friend and fellow blogger, Rossy, landed in Las Vegas with her husband and son. It was our first time ever meeting in person but, after chatting away on this platform for about a year and a half, it didn’t feel that way at all. Even boyfriend said he was “comfortable with them the whole time.” It was amazing how great we all got along, really!! I only wish we all lived in the same city and state so we could double (and a half) date more often!!
I woke up a little earlier than usual to get ready to meet up with them for dinner. I wanted to have my makeup done for work so I wouldn’t have to worry about getting home on time to do it. Luckily, I was so excited I had no trouble getting up!! 😀
By now (if you read my Journal Entries often), you probably know Ramen Sora is one of mine and boyfriend’s fave spots to eat so of course, we had to bring them to try it.
I got the Deluxe Miso, boyfriend got the Spicy Miso, Rossy tried the Corn Butter Shoyu, and her husband tried another kind with the Shoyu broth. 🙂
When we finished eating, I was already feeling drowsy so, I pretty much forced everyone to enable my addiction and get Starbucks with me.
I wrote a compliment on a post-it and put it in the mailbox while I waited for our drinks to be made. I thought it was such a sweet idea!!
We had our men take our very first photos of us together!!! And I know, you won’t believe me when I tell you this but, Rossy and her son were even cuter in person!! Seriously, the most adorable people ever!!
Boyfriend took the photos (above) and her husband took the photo (below). All credit goes to them!! Thanks boys!!
Then, drinks in hand, we headed to a small Korean cosmetics store down the street. There was a lot of good stuff in there but, I also wanted to bring them to the bigger one I’ve raved about a couple times, Shibuyala. We browsed around for a bit in both stores then, decided it was probably time for me to get home and do a couple other things before going into work. They headed off to go walk The Strip.
But, of course, we didn’t part ways before taking more photos together!!
Her husband also took the one (above) with her phone for us. 😊
When we got home, I had a quick mixed drink of pineapple juice and Patrón while I jammed to some music. I got to work around 11 PM and stayed until a little past 3 AM. It was a really great night for me!! I am definitely super grateful. ❤
On Friday, we didn’t have plans with Rossy and her fam but, we also didn’t have any food at home. We decided to go out for dinner at SkinnyFats, another one of our fave spots.
They didn’t have any of their special black pepper flavored ketchup that I like but, we noticed two new ones: Turmerica Hot Mustard and Porky Pineapple “Catchup.” They were both too sweet for my taste buds but, boyfriend was a fan of the mustard. He also ordered a sugar cane soda and it came in the coolest cup.
I always have to take a photo of their interior because it’s just so hip. It’s industrial-style done right and their artwork is out of this world. The painting of the girl behind me was mesmerizing but, I couldn’t get a full shot at my angle.
We got the Ahi Tuna cucumber boat. It had sliced almonds and a spicy mayo sauce drizzled on top. We removed the slices of avos but, it just wasn’t that good. Kind of plain and the fish was mushy.
I ordered the More Cow Bowl, it was basically a teriyaki steak stir-fry. Impossible for me NOT to love.
Boyfriend got the Filet O’ Fire (a steak sandwich) with their delish sweet potato fries.
And we also shared a side of their “Yummus” with their overly sea salted pitas.
Afterwards, we went to Starbucks to get our quad shots of espressos over ice and then, came home to get ready for work and have a cocktail.
Boyfriend dropped me off around 11:30 PM and I stayed until past 4 AM. It was pretty slow and shitty but, hey, it def could’ve been worse.
On Saturday, we had plans to meet up with Rossy and her family again. I decided to take the night off so that we could hang out for longer since it’s not everyday we get to see each other, you know!!
They were out and about, doing their own thing, when we woke up so, we went to Ross to pick up a few things and had a bowl of pho at the Laos Market next door. We also ordered a spicy papaya salad to-go.
The lady who made it was surprised to hear that boyfriend likes it just as spicy as I do. She asked us, “which one of you likes it spicy like that?” When we told her, “both!” she widened her eyes and said, “oh, good!” to him, hahaha.
We went back home and smoked a blunt while we waited for them to come over. Rossy wanted to to meet our fur babies!
Before they got here, Benji was being all hyperactive and begging for us to play with him but, he got super scared and shy around them. I knew he would but, gosh, he’s such a weirdo. Can’t believe how naughty and needy he is with us but, then acts like a chicken around strangers. My Sushi was the little attention whore that he always is. He was loving all the extra hands petting him. Twinkle Star was kept in our room because she’s already frantic around my boys but, she did come out to let Rossy pet her for a tiny bit. She’s a bully for affection, too, so I wasn’t surprised. She even did a jump from the bed to the cat tree like a show off and tried to be all cute for her.
Our next stop was the Fashion Show Mall!
I was dying for something sweet after the MSG, salt-filled pho and I also needed a caffeine boost.
Honeymee caught my eye right away. Boyfriend and I got the Honey Affogato and the nastiest Matcha water-based drink. It tasted like chalk water… and most of the time, he can just chug stuff down to not waste it but, not with this… I couldn’t even blame him for throwing it out. 😛 Their honey and ice cream was as good as I remember, though. Mm, mm. ❤
We walked around for about an hour or two (and found a selfie booth!!) before we were all starving again.
I wanted to bring them to Bahama Breeze and they were down to try it so, we went to our cars and met back up at the restaurant.
I just think their food is top-notch and their interior has the most vacationy vibe ever. If you don’t have one near you, you must visit when in Vegas.
I saw their Limited Time Lobster & Seafood Pot on the front page and I already knew that’s what I was going to get. I got a hot black coffee to drink on the side, too.
I tried my best to get one big shot with all of our plates included, lol. Sorry it’s so dark and weirdly angled!!
I was really thinking that my bowl would be bigger than it was based on the photo in the menu but, it was still enough to fill me up. The seafood was cooked perfectly and the broth was the right amount of tomatoey. I do think if I hadn’t ate earlier in the day, though, I probably would’ve still been hungry.
Boyfriend had the Blackened Chicken Pasta. He ordered it the last time we went here together and the flavor is hard to find elsewhere. Rossy got the delicious Tequila Glazed Salmon, her husband had the Lobster Mac & Cheese and her son had the Kid’s Bowties & Cheese. All of it made me droooool!!
We, then, all walked The Strip together until around midnight. We stopped at this candy store called, It’s Sugar.
Rossy wanted something special from there and I was just blown away by ALL of the HUGE SIZED everything.
When we parted ways, we were all pretty pooped. Boyfriend and I didn’t want to do anything but, sit back and watch movies when we got home. We watched two before it was time to go to bed.
On Sunday, we all met up one last time before they headed off to the airport!
BUT, I’m gonna end this post here. I’ll be back with another Journal Entry on Wednesday. Tomorrow, I get to go see How The Grinch Stole Christmas the Musical. 😀 I CANNOT wait, especially after that terrible rock opera earlier this month…
Hope you have a wonderful week! ❤
