Hiya!! Last time I wrote was a week and a day ago… I’m pretty sure I spent the rest of that night, after publishing my Journal Entry, playing Sims 4, lol.

On Wednesday, Nov. 13th, I stayed away from the game. I had to get into gear for work the next day. I watched The Masked Singer and other mindless shows, painted my toe nails, filed my finger nails, read some blogs, took a hot bath with a shitty donut bath bomb, and read a bit of The Silent Patient.

Thursday, Nov. 11th, boyfriend cooked us a delicious dinner with chicken thighs and carrots. We didn’t do much of anything until we had to make our way to Starbucks. Then, I got ready for work. Boyfriend dropped me off around 11 PM and I stayed until around 4 AM. It was a pretty good night for me!

On Friday, we ran out of groceries at home so we went to our fave spot, CafΓ© Zupas, for dinner.

Boyfriend got his Cuban Chicken Sandwich and the Chipotle Chicken Salad. I got the Strawberry Harvest Salad and the Honey Bacon Club (both with no cheese). Mm, mm. I could probably eat here everyday.

Along with Starbucks, we had to make a run to the dispensary. We saw a random taco truck sitting in Inyo’s parking lot when we got there and I was like, “I bet you get free food!” and I was right! πŸ˜€ They were giving out tickets for customers who spent over a certain amount and it was under what we usually spend anyways!

Boyfriend tried one steak and one chicken but, I forget who the vendors were. I didn’t try a bite because I was already super full and also, I hate corn tortillas/baby-sized street tacos (sorry!). He said they were really tasty though and I was surprised they had radishes to top them with! YUM!

That night, I got to work around 11 PM or 12 AM again but, I left super early… around 2ish. πŸ˜› I was just not feelin’ the crowd and I was satisfied enough with my profit.

Maybe I was hungry, too??

When boyfriend picked me up, I asked him to take me to Viet Noodle Bar! We got an order of Fresh Spring Rolls to share and I took a risk and got the bowl of Combination Pho (with tripe, flank steak, and rare steak).

You guys, I was blown away!! The noodles weren’t too soggy and the broth was full of that wonderful, rich, beefy flavor. I was so absorbed in slurping it all up, I forgot to take a picture of boyfriend’s Vermicelli Noodle Salad. He got it with pork, beef, and egg rolls this time.

On Saturday, we were in the mood to try somewhere new! We needed to go to Total Wine to pick me up another bottle of PatrΓ³n so, we chose a place nearby called Miller’s Ale House. I never saw it on Yelp when looking up restaurants but, it looked popular from the outside every time we passed it.

We looked through their menu and couldn’t believe our eyes. Their prices were SO low and there were tons of different options to choose from!

The interior reminded me of a tavern in Minnesota. Cabin/country-style, y’know? I kinda liked it! πŸ˜›

I warned boyfriend that I was craving more Buffalo Wild Wings and that I’d want to have some after work but, he didn’t care. He still went ahead and ordered their spiciest wings called, 5 Pepper Spice (or something close to that).

He said they had a nice kick to them and the chicken was juicy, too. The only thing was too much black pepper. He said he didn’t know that was going to be one of the 5 peppers included, lol.

He also ordered a bowl of fries for us “to share.” πŸ˜‰

I went with their awesome Asian Salad that was topped with the most perfectly grilled chicken. The dressing wasn’t anything unique but, they did use my favorite kind, sesame-ginger, so of course, I absolutely loved it. The toppings, greens, and dressing were all balanced out evenly. I was able to clear my whole plate with full bites of everything each time.

When we finished eating, we drove across the street to Total Wine and then, to Starbucks for our quad shots. I got to work around 11 PM and stayed until almost 5 AM. It wasn’t as good as Thursday but, way better than Friday.

As promised, when boyfriend picked me up, we headed to Buffalo Wild Wings! I was feeling quite ravenous.

The whole place was empty when we got there besides the bartender/server and his fellow employee… possibly the cook? (He ran back right when we sat down so I assumed). We asked if they were still serving food and he said, “if you’re over 21!” so, we gave him our IDs and sat down with a menu at the bar.

Obviously, my self-control was out the window by this point, so we got the cheesiest cheesy thing we could find for our appetizer. The Chili Con Queso dip with chips. Ohhhhh my gosh, it was everything. So darn worth it. When you don’t have real cheese for so long, you really forget how good it is. GOSH!!! I wish I had a stronger stomach to eat this kind of stuff ALL the time. 😦

We went all out because we knew we wanted to bring some home for Sunday’s late night snack. πŸ˜‰

For our sauces, we got 5 of each: Blazin’, Wild, Parmesan Garlic, Spicy Garlic, Thai Curry, and Nasville Hot. It was our first time trying the Thai and Nashville ones. We ended up HATING the salty ass Thai Curry but, the Nashville was alright. I wouldn’t order it again but, boyfriend said he probably would.

Anyways, can someone please tell me if your tongue gets more sensitive to spice when you’re drunk? I actually CRIED from my first bite of a Blazin’ wing. I cooled myself down with a Parm Garlic one then, had a second Blazin’. It wasn’t half as bad though… maybe because I was expecting it? Then, when we reheated them… I was sober and shook my head at myself. How could I have ever cried over it? It didn’t burn nearly as bad.

On Sunday, we woke up kind of late but, we needed to go grocery shopping. We are smarter than to go to Sprouts before going out to eat now so, first, we went to Viet Noodle Bar. I was craving a Vietnamese Crepe AKA Banh Xeo but, I also couldn’t get their pho out of my mind.

I convinced boyfriend to get the large bowl of pho so I could have a few slurps and I went with the crepe!! ❀

I don’t know how I forgot both times at this restaurant to take a photo of his meal! Dang it! He had me mix in all the sriracha, sambal, and hoisin sauce for him. At first, I didn’t do enough and the broth was bland but, after doctoring it up a bit more… we found that beautiful flavor again. It’s crazy how much the toppings/sauces can change up the whole bowl.

And, I’m sorry if you’re sick of seeing these spring rolls but, we are not sick of eating them. Of course, we had an order to share! πŸ™‚

Afterwards, we ran quickly through Sprouts, barely even picking up snacks, except a box of crackers and kettle chips. We would come to regret that later but, man, I just wanted to get out of there. We had to get to Starbucks before it closed!

I’m very sad because they no longer have the cookie crumbles so, I got a plain Coffee Frapp with 3 shots of espresso and almond milk and boyfriend got his traditional, once a year, Peppermint Mocha Frapp with regular milk and 3 shots as well. I love that the holiday cups are out now and the stores are already festively decorated!

Monday, I woke up, took a shower and started playing the Sims 4 right away. We had a lovely salmon dinner with garlic noodles and zucchini. I ate it without even pausing my game, lol. Luckily, boyfriend didn’t mind but, if he were to do the same, I’d get upset, I think? πŸ˜› I decided to purchase a bundle that included the new University Expansion Pack, The Realm of Magic Game Pack, and the Moschino Stuff Pack. The only one I’m missing now is the Strangerville one! I’m actually a little scared of it but, when it goes on sale, it will be mine. EA is letting us Simmers take a survey and vote for their next release! I can’t wait to see which one wins!

Around 1 AM, I looked at boyfriend and asked him if he was hungry. He said “starving but, we didn’t buy any snacks.” So, I ordered takeout online through Yelp/Grubhub for some Barcode Burgers and then, he went and picked them up for us.

It was just as tasty as eating it at the bar if not tastier since we were comfy at home. πŸ™‚ I got the one with Boston pork butt, bacon, and blueberry BBQ sauce.

Yesterday, I finally took the time to share what I got in my Influenster VoxBox with you! In the middle of typing my post, I had to pause for dinner. We had an Udon stir-fry and watched Glee while eating.

After publishing my post and checking my notifications, I disappeared back into my Sims world. I am working on becoming a very skilled Spellcaster. I was cracking the heck up when I did a “duel” because my Sims were doing the signature Harry Potter stance in the second film, against Draco. LOL!!

I quit the game around 2 AM to write out my review for The Silent Patient. My thoughts were whirring around in my head and I was ready to get them out (it’ll be up tomorrow). I read some blogs on my Reader and organized some books on my Goodreads shelf. I started a new book by Augusten Borroughs called, You Better Not Cry. It’s a short, kind of dark but, funny book all about his past Christmases. I think I’ll get through it quickly.

Sushi was like, “I can hang my legs off the couch, too!”

Today, I’ve only woken up, took a shower, and started typing this. Dinner is almost done and we’re all caught up now!

Tomorrow, we’re going to meet Rossy (@AyR Galaxy) and her cute little family for dinner!! They’re coming to Vegas for a mini vacation and I CANNOT wait!!

Hope YOU have the bestbestbest rest of your week!! ❀

    1. Lol does it? I hurriedly took the shot of the burger while playing The Sims! πŸ˜‚ & their *chips* are always fantastic!! πŸ’– I probably need to take a break from the game, too, lol. The University one is so good though.

Meeting Rossy was so amazing!! I cannot wait until we get to this spring!! πŸ’—πŸ’–πŸ’—

      1. Yeah it looks so good!! Eek I’m gonna have to try them! Haha I have had suchhh a long break but I wanna try that 100 babies challenge πŸ˜‚ I still prefer The sims 2 tbh but I think I might get back to playing my Sims soonish! If I get the chance hehe!!! Omg I loved the university expansion when I had Sims 2! It’s so long but also so fun!!

Eeeeeeek I am so excited you got to meet her! Wowowowow! Happy for you both ❀️ I am so so excited to meet you soon Hunida! Can we arrange it sooon please! Xx

        1. I still wanna try the 100 baby challenge sometime, too! I just feel it would be so stressful & I’m not ready lol. Is it Sims 2 that you prefer? I heard a lot of gamers are favoring the 3rd one most? I remember the past University packs! They were always the best ones. This new one for Sims 4 was easily completed in 2 days though, not long at all. πŸ˜›

Yes yes yes! Of course! See you in March, right?!?

  2. I love how you get to choose when you get to leave at work! There are so many incidents when I wish I could’ve called it early as well. Omg, that wings place looks amazeball. I love love love wings so much, hahaha I wish we had something like that over here! I don’t order it much but when I do see parm garlic, I like to order it. One of my best friends haaaaates the idea of the two flavours combined like that. I laughed at the part when you said your sim is currently trying to be a skilled spell caster. I sent a sim into the Magic Realm to learn some magic and I couldn’t continue afterwards… maybe I just wasn’t feeling it with the Sims so I’ll like to try again down the line with a different Sim to learn some magic.

    1. I love that I get to choose, too! Other clubs I have worked at have made me pay to leave early but, the one I am at now lets me do as I please. πŸ™‚ Sometimes, it’s better to call it quits instead of torture yourself so you can get a clear mind again.

Ahhh!! Crazy that you guys don’t have Buffalo Wild Wings in Canada! It’s so popular here. How could your friend hate the idea of parm garlic? I honestly thought they were normal ingredients to put together lol.

Sometimes, I get that way about the Sims. I just don’t feel like playing but, most of the time, I just can’t stop lol! I don’t really like giving them superpowers, like being vampires, aliens, plant people, spellcasters, etc. But I always have to try it out once. πŸ˜›

  3. Omg that Cafe Zupas food you guys ordered looked so so incredible! πŸ˜€ And those free tacos sounded so bomb – I’m such a sucker for tacos!! My fave πŸ˜€

I was literally nodding my head when you mentioned remembering how good real cheese tasted… that is how I felt when I was 100% dairy free. And it is how I feel now about bread. You forget just how good certain foods taste.

I always find your description of Sims so interesting because I’ve heard of the games, but I’ve never actually played them! Maybe I should look into this.

    1. We LOVE Cafe Zupas! I could seriously eat there everyday! & getting the free tacos was so cool lol.

Right?? You can eat the substitutes & like… “okay that’s good! Close enough!” but once you eat the real stuff again… you’re like “ah never mind. Nothing is as good as this.” LOL.

Oh my gosh. Sims is too addicting. I love it so much. I love controlling everything they do & it’s so realistic but also fantasyish at the same time.

  4. Gosh, I would love to try these spring rolls that you keep sharing! If I were to be sick of seeing them, it’s only because I’m envious that I can’t make a trip out to Vegas and try them personally! Haha.

Aw, I absolutely love the Thai Curry flavor from Buffalo Wild Wings. I always have to order them whenever I’m there! I didn’t think the Nashville Hot was hot and it reminded me of like a mild Louisiana Hot sauce I’d buy, haha. I hope you and Rossy had a lovely time together; what a cool visit and chance to meet one another!

    1. You know, I’m thinking any Vietnamese restaurant near you would have the spring rolls to try. 😊

Ah, maybe if I went to a different BWW location the Thai Curry flavor would be better? I don’t know, it just wasn’t pleasant this time. πŸ˜› No, the Nashville Hot wasn’t spicy at all, it had a unique flavor though.

Hanging out with Rossy was so fun! She’s even more amazing in person than online & I didn’t even think it possible. πŸ’– Thank you for reading & commenting, Stephanie!! Hope you have a lovely week!!

      1. I want those specific ones at that restaurant! Haha. There’s a restaurant back in Kingsport that have really awesome summer rolls that I ordered that I’m obsessed with! That’s super disappointing about the Thai Curry flavor, so I’m wondering if it’s the same flavor that we’re both tasting to have such a mixed result! Taste buds sure are strange like that.

  5. I love wings. They’re one of my favorite things to eat. I haven’t been to Buffalo Wild Wings in a decade though. I usually get my wings from other places, but I would like to give them a go again. Those 5 pepper wings are making me feel like sneezing just from reading about them. lol I like black pepper but too much of it gives me the sneezes. πŸ˜›

Sushi is so cute, looking so relaxed! lol

      1. I just get my wings from local places. A sub shop and a pizza place, but both have good wings. The sub shop owner actually makes his own blue cheese dressing and it’s amazing. The best I’ve had, actually.

  6. Screw it i cant resist waiting until i catch up a completely on the reader so im gonna binge read yours right now lol
I completely forgot about Cafe Zupas, it was even on my list! πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ
Street tacos are the beeeessssstttt Hunida! Lol. Guess that means you wont be trying the taco shop behind the Strat tower lol.
Omg Viet Noodle Bar! 😭 im writing these places down for next time.
The Asian salad looks so simple and good.
Lmao you guys really did go all out with the wings, thats a lot of food 🀣🀣
Didnt know Viet Noodle Bar had a crepe that looks so good. If i ever go there I HAVE to get pho lol.
I love how into the game you are, i wish i had that kind of time to commit to my games lol.
    And omggggg Sushiii!!! πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜

    1. Hehe, when/*if* you post about the trip, I’ll probably skip over everything just to read it first, too. πŸ˜€

I truthfully think you could find a spot similar to or even better than Cafe Zupas in Portland! & I don’t know why I don’t like street tacos! The corn tortillas have a weird texture & taste to me. 😦 I think I know which one you are talking about behind the Strat though. If they had hard shells I would, lol!

I was really into that Asian salad, it was definitely simple but still, oh so good! & yeah! We ate those wings in two days but, none went to waste. πŸ˜€

The crepe is verrry different than a breakfast crepe… I wonder if you’d like it! I’d love to bring you to Viet Noodle Bar, especially now that I trust in their pho a little more.

I am SO into the Sims LOL. It’s an addiction!! & Sushi says he misses your attention!! ❀ ❀

      1. I just started editing the videos for a “video highlights” kind of thing because I didn’t really vlog but I would love to put it up either Tuesday or Wednesday if I need more time. I also plan on filming tomorrow too for another video for this week AND I will also be busy with CL’s therapy tomorrow AND his bday coming up on the weekend so I’ll be super busy ALL WEEK LOL. But I do want to priorotize my vacation vlog and posts πŸ™‚
Aw you think so? I may have to find it around here, I will look over the menu from Cafe Zupas online and see if there’s something similar here to try πŸ™‚
Oh okay well that makes sense, the texture really is different from flour tortillas πŸ™‚ sadly they don’t have crunchy tacos, LOL I do wonder if they have tortas, those would be good too πŸ™‚
I’m always down to try new stuff, like all the time haha. Alex is the one who is a bit pickier than me even though he won’t admit it LOL
        Awwwh I miss Sushi toooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

        1. Yay!! Can’t wait to see the vlog and posts whenever they are ready 😁 totally understand that you’re busy! You got so much going on!

Cafe Zupas is amazing but, it’s similar to a lot of delis & cafes. You’ll have to let me know if you find something like it! LOL I laughed when he called you picky because I remember you telling me he is the one who doesn’t really like trying new places. πŸ˜‚

          1. I was freaking out because my laptop has been acting up since yesterday but I got it to work again so the video editing is going smoothly now πŸ˜€ I will need an extra day due to the slowness from yesterday and today though but I WILL**** have all this done THIS week no matter what!
hahaha yeah he was just projecting his dislikes onto me XD calling me picky when he’s even pickier than I am LOL if you only knew what he does everytime we go to the same spots.. like ramen for example, our fave restaurant, he will NEVER get another item in the menu LOL. meanwhile I’m trying out the entire menu for the both of us LMAO

            Liked by 1 person

            1. Aw yay! So glad the laptop stopped acting up, phew!! I cannot wait to see it all. πŸ˜€

You seem way more open to trying things than he does, like even the cream cheese pickle! Maybe he means like your palate is more picky/sophisticated?

              Liked by 1 person

              1. I’m 2/3 done and my first blog post from the trip goes up tomorrow morning, I jst finished it! πŸ˜€
He may actually mean that lol. I will try new foods where he won’t, but I am more critical of taste than he is LOL. Whenever he cooks a new recipe he’s just making up, he will ask me to rate it XD

                Liked by 1 person

                1. Ahh yay!!! I’m so excited!!! I’m gonna save it to read for later tonight or tomorrow. Along with your BoxyLuxe video. πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

He said something about how you were critical of taste at Big Chicken, too, so I was really happy you liked the sliders & finished that bowl of ramen!! (Your) Alex should have a recipe blog lol.

Hahaha yeaaaahh he always does that, he likes to put me on the spot and make it seem like I’m picky but I don’t mind πŸ™‚ and oh my gosh, now that you mention it………’re in for a treat soooooonnn ;D I hope I can convince him to fully do it with me πŸ˜€ πŸ˜‰ *sshhh it’s a secret!*

                    1. I just save your videos for different times, sometimes I feel like watching over reading, too. πŸ™‚ Your Vegas packing vid & Boxyluxe are on my To Watch list right now.

THAT’S SO EXICTING!! Even if he doesn’t wanna do it, you could write it for him?! We would have to follow some of the DF ones for sure. πŸ˜€
