Hi there!! We have quite a bit to catch up on today. The last time I wrote was Sunday, Nov. 3rd. After I published my entry, I’m pretty sure I spent the rest of my night playing The Sims 4. You guys probably think I’m insane how addicted to that game I am and well, you’re right to, lol.

On Monday, Nov. 4th, boyfriend made us the Victoria’s Vegan Arugula Pesto sauce I mentioned in my Currentlys. The fresh spinach pasta was SO good and the sauce is something I would (and will) eat over and over again.

We both spent our entire night relaxing, gaming and smoking weed. ๐Ÿ™‚

On Tuesday, Nov. 5th, I spent the day working on my Currentlys post. I wanted to get it up before I went to the “musical” but, I didn’t finish writing it on time. I had an Asian Salad Kit and a ham sandwich with tons of crunchy veg and Sir Kesington’s special sauce mixed with mayo.

Both were delicious!!

I saved my post as a draft then, headed to The Smith Center. I was excited to see Jesus Christ Superstar because honestly, I don’t know much about His story. Learning about it in a musical would definitely have kept my attention!

Sadly, I don’t know what the heck this production was because it was NOT a musical!!

The singers all had outstanding voices, like seriously, every single one of them sang flawlessly. I was, at first, in awe. UNTIL, I realized there was NO acting/talking. The songs just flowed into each other with little scene changes and pauses for applause.

I started to have anxiety because I wanted them to talk so bad. I could physically feel my heart pounding. I was thinking for the whole hour I sat there, “if there’s one more fucking round of applause and they start singing another song, I’m getting the fuck outta here.” I felt like a complete asshole walking out but, I had to do it, I could not stand to be in there any longer.

When I walked out, the usher asked me, “just going for a bathroom break?” and I was like, “no, uh, do you think they’re ever going to talk?” and he answered, with a little giggle, “well, they haven’t yet, have they?” and then, he went on to inform me that Phantom of the Opera is the same way? Wow. I never knew that?! I’ve crossed that one off my list of shows to see now, too.

I looked up “why don’t they talk in Jesus Christ Superstar?” while I waited for boyfriend to pick me up and I found out it’s meant to be a “Rock Opera.” Ahhh! WHAT IS THAT! I hated it! I don’t care how talented the performers were.

I felt a little better as I saw two couples walk out right after me. I heard them say they didn’t know it was going to be constant singing like that, either.

When I got home boyfriend made us some chicken apple sausages. We ate them with some Daiya Alfredo Mac.

The rest of the night was spent the same way as the night before.

Panda Express had been on my mind all week so, on Wednesday, Nov. 5th… I gave into my cravings. We went there for dinner after grocery shopping and dropping the food off at home.

We got there at the absolute worst time. The line was long and the workers were panicked. I feel bad because I was hangry and kind of rude.

The employee tried to give me the last tiny crunchy pieces at the bottom of the Orange Chicken pan so, I glared at her and sorta yelled, “no, could you please get a new batch??” and she glared back and just threw my box down to another lady… who scooped me my Kung Pao Chicken while we waited for my new plump pieces of Orange Chicken (that came out in mere seconds, by the way).

Boyfriend got the Beijing Beef, the Sweet Fire Chicken, and the Mushroom Chicken.

We also shared an eggroll and I’m telling you, my tastebuds were dancing. We hadn’t had Panda Express in way too long. Why is it so dang good? I didn’t even get a headache afterwards!

Thursday, the 7th came around and I had to get back to work. Boyfriend made us delicious chicken wraps for dinner, we went to Starbucks for our espressos, then came home and got ready for work. I wrote 4 Songs That Are “Ours” while having a cocktail and a half then, boyfriend dropped me off. I was there from around 12 AM to 3:30 AM; the night went pretty well.

On Friday, the 8th, boyfriend made us an amazing pork tenderloin dinner. I ran out of booze so, we had to make another trip to Total Wine. I got my Patrรณn and he got a bottle of Seagram’s 7.

I asked him if he could drive me, literally, right next door to the Ulta store and of course, with a small groan, he brought me… hehe. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I’m sick of using my too light, liquid Joah concealer and needed my tarte clay stick one back in my life. My Thrive Causemetics mascara has also dried out so I got another tube of IT Comsetics Superhero to replace it. โค

I was worried when I opened my concealer because I didn’t know tarte had changed their packaging. It’s so cute and I looked it up, it’s the right one. ๐Ÿ˜› It works just as beautifully as I remember.

SO crazy how much faster applying my makeup has gone since I got my “Holy Grails” back. Sometimes, I have no idea why I try new things.

I got to work around 11 PM and stayed until past 5 AM. I wore my cat ears. with a cheetah print corset and lacey black underwear and, they were a hit! ๐Ÿ˜€ I love that I can wear them at work even after Halloween but, that’s how I always lose them.

On Saturday, we had tons of leftovers so we ate them for dinner. I only drank one small cocktail before work and never got a refresher while there. I didn’t mind being a little more sober than usual but, man, I felt exhaaaaausted. I left around 4 AM. I wanted to stay a bit longer since it was really busy but, I also didn’t even want to move or talk anymore so I had to throw in the towel.

When boyfriend picked me up, we were both starving so, we decided to go to Viet Noodle Bar!!

We got their Fresh Shrimp Spring Rolls and Chicken Wings to share.

Usually, the wings have two different sauces but, this time, there was only one and it was different than both of the previous ones? It was still fine but, we preferred how they served them before.

Boyfriend wanted EGG ROLLS, beef, and pork in his Noodle Salad but, was given chicken instead. We were too tired to complain and send it back so, he just ate it.

I ordered the Chicken Porridge and it was soooo wonderful!! I was truthfully expecting it to be a little more bland but, mmmm, I was definitely proven wrong.

Our favorite server was there and talked our ear off the entire time we ate, lol. We didn’t mind, though. He’s a pretty cool guy except I told him to guess my age and he freakin’ said 28!!!! I mean, I do hope I still look the same at that age but, I was hoping for a lower number!!! ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

Finally, it was Sunday, the best day of the week!! We had one more dinner for boyfriend to cook for us at home, a unique sorta beef stew with rice. We didn’t have to leave the house once until around 10 PM when I got the unbeatable munchies.

I told myself “no more fast food” after Panda Express because I’ve been eating it nonstop lately but, Sonic was the only thing on my mind. We ordered SO MUCH when we got there.

I had a Jr. Burger, a chicken strip sandwich, a mini Butterfinger blast, boyfriend had the Sonic Bacon Cheeseburger with tots, and a large Strawberry Lemon slush and then, we shared an order of Mozz Sticks, Jalapeno Poppers, and Popcorn Chicken. Mmm, mmm!

Yesterday, we had to go to Walmart and Sprouts but, we woke up quite late. we knew we weren’t gonna be able to wait for a home cooked meal so, we stopped at Karved to eat before we went shopping.

I love how they always have the place decorated for each holiday. โค

I was sad they got rid of their free Hummus and Pita with Yelp Check-In offer, though, I still ordered it because I can’t pass it up! At least they still gave us a small beef soup sample. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I changed up my order and got the Chicken Pita Wrap with cucumbers and peppers added. This guy was FAT!! It was difficult to eat but, oh so, yummy. I only finished about 2/3 of it and unfortunately, couldn’t even bring it home for later because the sauce made everything way too soggy. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

Boyfriend always gets the fries with their special Fry Sauce but, this time, we also got their Hot and Garlic Sauces to try. I forgot to try the garlic sauce because there was so much for me to eat but, I did get quite a few bites of the hot stuff. It had a great kick and a nice habanero bite.

We quickly ran through Walmart and Sprouts to get what we needed then, headed home for another night of relaxing and gaming.

Today, all I have done is read some blogs on my Reader, took a shower, did a simple stretch and workout, checked my notifications on here, ate dinner, and then, started typing this!

I want to show you what Influenster sent me but, the sun goes down so early nowadays, I can’t even take the pictures on my balcony anymore. I have to figure out a way to do it indoors or something. Also, need to get shots of my Oct. Glam Bag Plus. I promise, I’m still gonna show you what I got in there someday.

Hope you all have an awesome week!! โค

    1. Lol I was seriously so confused. I had no idea it was going to be like that. Sorry to make you hungry! It’s crazy, there are Panda Express drive thrus around here! In Minnesota, you could mostly only find them in malls. Hopefully, they build one near you!

  1. Oh man that pasta looks so good, would make a perfect vegetarian dish for me ๐Ÿ˜Š I saw Phantom of the Opera a few years ago, it was my first broadway show, and it was so. Boring. Broadway lovers will probably kill me for saying that but it was probably for the same reason you didnโ€™t like Jesus Christ superstar! I think itโ€™s hard to follow when itโ€™s just constant singing

    1. Yesss, for sure! The sauce was so good, you’d love it. ๐Ÿ˜Š I didn’t even know there were such things as these musicals that are really operas, oh my gosh. How boring! I am a Broadway lover & even I couldn’t sit through that. I do not blame you for hating it lol.

  2. Not sure where to write this, especially since it is completely unrelated to your blog post. That food looks really tasty, and congratulations on your 5 year anniversary. โคโค I have nominated you for the Sunshine Blogger Award and there is no pressure to complete it. If you do decide to complete it, I am very curious to know what your answers are!

  3. Never seen Jesus Christ Superstar so had no idea thereโ€™s no talking! That would probably annoy me too, so I donโ€™t blame you for bailing. Gosh canโ€™t remember the last time I got Panda Express!

    1. I wish I had known there was gonna be no talking, I would’ve skipped out on even buying the ticket. ๐Ÿ˜› I love Panda Express but, it’s probably a good thing you haven’t gotten it in a long time, lol!

  4. My ears perked up when the theater guy said don’t see Phantom of the Opera because that is my friend in Germany’s favorite of all favorites. So I asked her and NONE of the musicals she’s been to have very much talking in them! So then I got to Googling.

Musicals that don’t have talking are called “sung-through” and were pioneered by Andrew Lloyd Webber.

What you need to keep your eye out for when buying tickets is, does it say “Book by so and so and Lyrics by so and so” or does it only mention lyrics? “Book” equals the script which equals the talking.

There’s a wiki page that lists all Webbers shows and under each one it has that info. You definitely do not want to see either Elvira or Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. No talking. Here’s the link. You can see the one you did like, School of Rock, says book by Julian Fellowes, of Downton Abbey fame!) No wonder it was good. LOL https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andrew_Lloyd_Webber#Shows

    1. Oh my gosh, I know, a lot of theatre lovers have said Phantom of the Opera is their favorite so I had always wanted to see that one but, NOPE. Not without any talking. Thank you so much for looking that up for me! I blamed myself for not reading the synopsis but, even the synopsis doesn’t mention it would only be “sung-through.” Next season, I will skip out on any shows that don’t have “Book by So & So”!

I will remember to put Elvira & the Joseph one on my DO NOT WATCH LIST. School of Rock was awesome!!! I’ll check out that link, thank you!! โค

      1. Yah, the Phantom-loving friend said there’s SOME talking but probably not enough. I would’ve been as surprised as you. I thought all musicals had a combo of talking and singing. WTF Andrew Lloyd Webber?????

  5. MAN that Victoriaโ€™s Vegan Arugula Pesto looks good! That’s something I miss here in this tiny town…neither the local grocery stores nor Walmart carry ANY fresh pasta.

Still laughing so hard at this: a โ€œRock Opera.โ€ Ahhh! WHAT IS THAT! I hated it! I donโ€™t care how talented the performers were.

I honestly don’t know if I would like it or not but I’m a-scared to find out. I’m not a fan of musicals in general. Like the ones on TV. Whenever Oklahoma! or Sound of Music or anything like that comes on TV I change the channel FAST.

Panda Express has been on my mind too. We don’t have one anywhere near me here in Arkansas but I just learned one moved into the shopping center RIGHT BY MY APARTMENT in L.A. Not fair, not fair, not fair!

I’m really glad you made them get you some fresh orange chicken! Nobody wants the scrapings from the bottom of the pan.

Good lord…you do not look almost 30!!! You look much younger. Dudes are dumb. LOL

Allllllllllllllllllll the other food looks equally delicious!

    1. Aw wow!! Fresh pasta is so much better. I thought Walmart had some but, I am sorry they do not. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

LOL hated the stupid rock opera so much, I truly got anxiety from it.

If you don’t like any musicals, I don’t think you’d like it at all. You should try watching Hairspray! Lol, if you can’t stand it, then the genre is maybe not for you. ๐Ÿ˜›

Awww of course the Panda opened up in LA. It seems the good things always come around once you leave, doesn’t it?

I was not having those measly orange chicken scrapings but I guess I should’ve asked nicer, THOUGH, she shouldn’t have tried to give it to me in the first place LOL.

I am so sad he guessed 28 & he’s not the first to guess that high either. I am done with the guessing game lol.

      1. The nice Walmarts that have DELIS and things in them, like the one down in Batesville, probably have fresh pasta. We don’t even have a deli in ours. Ours is basic and lame AF.

Yah, I’m not sure if I would like a musical or not. Like, on a stage, live as it happens. Maybe I’ll just listen to the occasional showtune on Spotify and stick to regular plays. I love plays. I don’t mind if a play has the occasional song in it, either.

        1. Aw no way! There are Walmart “Neighborhood Markets” here that ONLY sell groceries. They were very shocking & ANNOYING when we first moved here lol.

I love plays, too. I would rather watch one with NO music than one with ONLY music LOL.

              1. Gelson’s may be an L.A. thing. Used to be Mrs. Gooche’s. You can often find celebrities in a Gelsons. I was shopping the day before Thanksgiving once and Anna Nicole Smith and Kimmie were in the spice aisle, trying to find sage. It was at the height of her reality show and there were no cameras filming or anything, but she was exactly like she was on the show. I was trying not to laugh at the stuff she was saying about spices and how hard it is to find the one you need and stuff. I also felt bad for her because she was also so obviously a drug addict. Sad.

  6. I had no clue that Jesus Christ Super Star was a Rock Opera…. but I have to say my heart hurt seeing you donโ€™t want to give Phantom of the Opera a try. Phantom is one of my favorites. ๐Ÿ’œ The movie version does have dialog!

And omg I feel you on losing out on holy grails or being quicker with makeup that is your holy grail. Lately, Iโ€™ve been trying a new concealer and Iโ€™ve gotten awful breakouts wherever I applied the concealer :/.

    Liked by 1 person

    1. Ahh I’m sorry! I knew I’d be hurting somebody when I said I no longer want to see Phantom. ๐Ÿ˜› It’s hard for me to believe I’d enjoy a show of ONLY singing. Is the movie also a musical??

I guess our holy grails are our holy grails for a reason! I’m done forcing myself to continue using things that aren’t the very best lol. Get rid of the concealer!!

      Liked by 1 person

        1. Okay, it’s so good to know the movie has dialogue. I will def have to watch it someday! There were seriously ZERO words in Jesus Chris Superstar & the usher told me that’s how the Phantom of the Opera production is, too?? I’m too scared to ever buy tickets to find out now.

  7. I haven’t ever heard of Jesus Christ Superstar, but that definitely sounds interesting! And how funny, I’m not a huge fan of musicals, but I do enjoy Phantom of the Opera! Haha. I’ve had such a craving for Panda Express that I may just have to treat myself to it sometime next week since Stephen finds it useless to go with so many other great restaurants around us! But, you just gotta satisfy that craving every now and then! I absolutely love getting the Beijing Beef and noodles!

Thanks for sharing, Hunida! Have a lovely day!

    1. I thought it would’ve been more interesting with some dialogue ๐Ÿ˜‰ lol. Did you see Phantom of the Opera live or did you enjoy the film? I’ve seen neither but, I heard they’re both different.

Panda is just a craving I get sometimes! I’m glad you get it, too– & totally treat yourself. It’s so worth it but, I see where Stephen is coming from. It’s def not the best place around lol. ๐Ÿ˜›

Thanks for reading, Stephanie! You have a lovely day, too! ๐Ÿ’–
