Rigatoni Bolognese

My Review

This Rigatoni Bolognese was straight to the point, it tasted exactly as you would expect. The sauce was a nice mix between tomatoey and beefy– I just prefer a deeper beef flavor when I have bolognese. I also like elbow pasta better than these big, rolie-polie rigatonis!

Ingredients You’ll Need

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 carrots, shredded
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
  • 2 (15-ounce) cans tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 pound rigatoni pasta
  • 2 tablespoons slivered fresh basil

Sheet Pan Beef & Broccoli

My Rating: 4.5 out of 5

My Review

We weren’t sure about making a sheet pan out of a dish that’s usually stir-fried but, we went for it anyways and were highly impressed. I appreciated that there was a good amount of sauce leftover at the bottom of the pan to coat my noodles in and it had so much flavor, I could go as far as saying it’s the best beef and broccoli I’ve ever had! We added tons of Thai chili peppers to turn it up a notch and, if they had been originally included, this would’ve earned a full 5 stars.

Ingredients You’ll Need

  • 1 1/2 lb flank steak

Steak Sauce

  • 2 Tbs Oyster sauce
  • 1 Tbs Soy Sauce
  • 1/4 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 Tbs Minced Garlic
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp Corn Starch

  • 1 Tbs Oyster Sauce
  • 1 Tbs Hoison Sauce
  • 1 Tbs Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tbs Soy Sauce
  • 1/3 cup vegetable stock
  • red pepper flakes to taste 1/4 tsp
  • 1 pound broccoli florets
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Power Chicken Hummus Bowl

My Review:

THIS!! This deserves the full 5 stars. I had never felt healthier than I did after eating this! πŸ˜‰ The hummus was the bestbestbest, if boyfriend was up for making it all the time, we’d never buy the store tubs. I loved the Cilantro-Jalapeno flavor and how the texture was creamy but, not runny. You can probably tell by the looks of that chicken that it was freakin’ awesome! It tasted absolutely perfect with the hummus spread all over it but, even on its own, too.

Ingredients You’ll Need

  • 2 large chicken breasts
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • Β½ teaspoon paprika
  • Β½ teaspoon poultry seasoning (a combination of dried basil, rosemary, sage, marjoram, thyme and oregano)
  • salt and pepper
  • 12 ounces baby spinach leaves
  • 2 Roma tomatoes, diced
  • Β½ English cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 lemons, cut in half
  • β…“ cup chopped cilantro for topping

For the Cilantro-Jalapeno Hummus

  • 1 can low sodium garbanzo beans, rinsed and drained, skins removed
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 Tablespoons tahini
  • 3 Tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 4 Tablespoon water
  • Β½ cup packed cilantro leaves, chopped
  • Β½ fresh jalapeno, minced
  • Β½ teaspoon salt
  • ΒΌ teaspoon cumin
  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil

  1. MMM I think reduced the sauce or mixing it corn starch to thicken it abit more could help the beef flavour to come out a lot stronger! WOW, I’d never think to sheet pan beef and broccoli together hahaha! Gosh that power bowl looks SO GOOD! And the fact that it doesn’t make you feel heavy and gross is the best man! I love that wow! Yet another great installment of HUNIDA’S RECIPE REVIEWS! HEHE!

    1. Yeah & maybe letting it simmer for a longer time, too? I don’t know much about cooking lol thank you for your tips!! ❀ We were surprised the beef & broccoli was made on a sheetpan, too, but it was really good. The broccoli was nice & crisp instead of kinda soggy, y'know? The power bowl was so good, too!! Thank you for reading, Cordelia!! ❀

And that chicken hummus bowl looks yummy I’d feel healthier eating that too. I’ll have to try making my own hummus too so I can make smaller quantities for myself lol

  5. Power chicken hummus bowls just SOUND amazing and they look super good too! I’ve heard that homemade hummus isn’t that hard to make, just time consuming, right? And I’ve heard the flavor is obviously amazing because homemade is always better lol.
Also how impressive that the sheet pan beef & broccoli is your favorite! Sometimes sheet pan recipes get a little too dried out, so that’s awesome that this one didn’t!

    1. That hummus & chicken was oh, so tasty! ❀ Boyfriend said it wasn't that hard but yeah, quite time consuming, especially compared to buying a tub from the store. πŸ˜› The beef & broccoli was definitely impressive, yum! ❀
