Hiya babes, it’s been a whole week since I wrote a Journal Entry again. Let’s chit chat and get all caught up. 😀
Last Wednesday, the 4th, I spent half of my day taking photos for and writing up my Currentlys post and then the other half of it playing Sims 4. Boyfriend cooked us a saucy steak dinner with mashed potatoes.
On Thursday, the 5th, he cooked us a pork stir-fry. It was delicious!! I went to work that night and didn’t do so bad. I was a little drunk but, not ridiculously. When I came home, I had more of the stir-fry before going to bed. Boyfriend’s mom posted a cute photo of us on FB from when we went to visit her in July:
Friday, the 6th, boyfriend made the most amazing chicken soup for us and then, freaking forgot to put the leftovers in the fridge… I have still not forgiven him and I don’t think I ever will??
I ran out of Patron at home so, we stopped at our favorite casino to get some drinks before I headed into work. We saw one of the bartenders taking a photo for some of the other customers at the bar so, we jokingly asked him if he’d take one of us:
I couldn’t stop laughing! He kept saying he was going to just take a bunch of selfies of himself, LOL. P.S. Boyfriend’s gotten a haircut since then and looks 10x better now. Phew!
On Saturday, we were out of groceries and leftovers (because SOMEONE forgot to refrigerate our soup we could’ve had).
We went to Town Square, to the Whole Foods, to see what they had at their salad bar. Carly (@Caffeinated Carly) is always posting yummy looking stuff from there so I thought I’d check it out for something healthy. I didn’t find anything that looked appetizing to me, so we just went to the California Pizza Kitchen right behind it.
There was a 20 minute wait for a real table but, the bar by the pizza chefs were immediate seating. Of course, we didn’t wait the 20 minutes and went straight for the high tops.
I thought it was awesome watching them make all the food! I didn’t mind sitting there at all.
Our waitress brought our waters with the complimentary bread and oil dip right away. Mmmm. ❤
To share, we got the Potstickers.
I liked the sauce and the soft surrounding dough but, the insides were a bit overly seasoned and the texture was off.
I got the half-sized Thai Chicken Crunch Salad. It was pretty big for a half! I couldn’t even finish it. I almost enjoyed every bite except the ones with too much dressing, they could’ve went a little lighter on that.
Boyfriend’s at the dispensary right now so, I can’t ask him which exact pizza he got. It’s the newest one with spicy pepperoni and spicy everything else. I couldn’t resist not having a bite. The cheese and toppings were SO good!!! Their crust is a little too thin and powdery(?) for my liking though.
When we finished eating, we walked over to Ulta, because why not? I bought a full-sized toner and a new Real Techniques makeup sponge. Then, we drove about .2 miles to Total Wine. I got another big bottle of Patron and the guy who rang me up didn’t even ID me!!! OUCH, right?
Work was alright, I was having a slow night in the beginning until I ran into a fellow Minnesotan who claimed he wasn’t going to get any dances with anyone until he found out I was from the same state as him. Uh-huh, sure. Who goes to the club without looking for a dance? I bet he thought that statement would impress me somehow. He brought some edibles with him and shared one with me. They tasted exactly like those Airheads Extreme Sours, no weed aftertaste at all! He got ’em from that overpriced museum shop, Planet 13. I still have yet to visit but, it’s definitely on my bucket list. I will just check it out and hopefully, not be swindled or tourist trapped by anything!!
Anywhooo, when boyfriend picked me up from work, we were both starving. We went to Bar Code Burger and this time, I chose something different!
Their special Ruffalo Fried Chicken Sandwich on Texas Toast. It was out of this world!!! I traded half of it for boyfriend’s favorite restaurant-named, Bar Code Burger.
That, was also outstanding. I was happy to have my wonderful french fries back, too. 😉
On Sunday, we went grocery shopping at Sprouts and I wrote up my special Recipe Reviews. We spent the rest of the night, my favorite way, just gaming. Me, on the computer and boyfriend, on the XBOX. He made us a quick and easy sort of sausage sheet pan for dinner.
Yesterday was more of the same! We had Teriyaki chicken thighs with broccoli, carrots, and rice. ❤
Today, we went to Target to pick up a few things! I got a binder, dividers, and clear protector sheets for all of my Playbills from plays/musicals I went to last season, a couple birthday cards, cat food, brown rice, razor heads, and TP. I was hoping that Julep’s nail lacquers would be there but, unfortunately, they didn’t have them stocked yet. I’m excited they finally are being sold in-stores; I can’t wait to try the brand! Zoya needs to follow suit ASAP.
When we came home, we heated up some chicken thighs since we had so much leftover. We watched an episode of Big Brother while we ate. When it ended, I watched (and laughed my ass off) at Jeffree Star YouTube videos while I removed my old polish and redid my toes. I was too lazy to do color on my fingers, so I just did a clear coat for now.
I hope you’ve all been having a nice week so far! ❤ I’m gonna try my VERY best to get my August Boxycharm post written up and published tomorrow.
