Hi loves!! I wanted to blog yesterday but, I was catching up with my Reality TV shows. πŸ˜‰ The last time I wrote an entry was the 14th, so I’ll be starting this one from Thursday, the 15th.

Boyfriend made us a sheet pan with smoked sausage, zucchini, red onions, mushrooms, and baby red potatoes. I don’t know what he did to it but, it was darn good!!

I had a cocktail at home before going to work. Boyfriend dropped me off around 11 PM and I left around 3 AM. It was a boring/slow night but, not the worst.

On Friday, we had no more groceries in our fridge so we went out to eat. We hadn’t been to Viet Noodle Bar in some time and thought we were about due for a visit.

We got their plump Pork and Shrimp Spring Rolls with a Hoisin and Peanut Sauce to dip. They were super fresh and tasty but, wrapped a little loose.

We also got their AMAZING plate of Egg Rolls. They are served with tons of ripe veggies so you can wrap the rolls in the large lettuce leaves and add as much basil, mints, cucumbers, and pickled carrots/radish as you want. You then, dip them into a Sweet Fish Sauce dip (I forgot to picture) and take a big bite of everything together. It is SO freakin’ yummy this way!!!!

I got the Stir-Fried Lemongrass Beef Vermicelli Noodle Salad and boyfriend got the same but, with Grilled Pork and Beef.

Both bowls contained SO much meat. We were really wishing for more noodles the whole time. The fish sauce we poured on top is our favorite here, though.

When we left, we went to Starbucks to get our quad shots of espressos and then, we came home and I got ready for work. I only had a little bit of Patron left in the freezer so, I drank it before I left but, asked boyfriend if he wanted to stop at the bar to have another one before he dropped me off.

After drinking, I wasn’t feeling like going to work AT ALL… instead, I was like, “let’s go to The Strip and get a huge pizza slice from Pin-Up!” πŸ˜€ We had only been once before, quite awhile ago, and it has never left my mind.

The line always looks long but, it moves EXTRA fast. There is literally NO space inside, you just walk straight through, get your food, and get out.

There were tons of different toppings I wanted but, in the end, I had to choose one so, I got Pancetta and Mushroom. Boyfriend got the Big Meat with a Garlic Knot on top. I liked mine better than his but, he liked his better than mine. πŸ˜› BOTH were absolutely fantastic!!! I, 10 out of 10, recommend this place to ANYONE who loves pizza and is walking The Strip looking for a quick bite to eat!

I’m telling you, these slices are HUGE!! But, despite their cute napkins, there were no pin-up styled girls serving this time. 😦 Last time we went, there were two of them.

We people-watched while we ate then, we headed home. We turned on the TV and vegged out on the couch until bed time.

On Saturday, I wanted to eat a Bratwurst so, we went to Albertsons and picked some up, along with a few sides to eat with them.

We got some baked beans from the deli, a head of broccoli, and two cold salads: deviled egg macaroni salad and a mustard potato salad (not pictured). I was very satisfied after cleaning up my plate!!

While I was getting ready for work, I asked boyfriend to go to the store to buy me a bottle of booze. I wasn’t in the mood for the bar and wanted to drink at home. It was a good idea, I think, because I actually ended up going to work!

I got there a little past 11 PM and did tons of freakin’ stage sets for some reason. I had a pretty decent night with respectful clients but, was tuckered out earlier than I had hoped to be. I left at around 4 AM and was starving.

I wanted to go somewhere we hadn’t before because I’m getting a little sick of always going to Blueberry or Barcode. After quickly looking through Yelp while boyfriend was driving, I came across the new 24/7 spot in the Palace Station Casino called, The Brass Fork.

When boyfriend and I first vacationed here, in Vegas, we stayed at this casino so it sort of felt like “home” when we walked through the parking lot. I don’t know how to explain it, but it was where he first proclaimed, “we should live here” before we actually did. ❀

We were nervous that all of the food was going to be the same and the name and interior had simply just been renovated but, LUCKILY, we were proven incredibly wrong.

When the waitress asked if we wanted any drinks, I couldn’t resist the Oh Maria, Maria Bloody on the menu. It had Patron and Diane’s Jalapeno Bloody Mary Mix topped with a Carne Asada Beef Jerky mini kebab with jalapenos and avocado chunks. Let me tell you, I don’t know who this Diane is, but I need her Bloody Mary Mix in my pantry. It had such a nice kick of spice in it and just the right amount of salty, tomato-flavor. Mmm, mmm. I want one right now!! OH AND, the straw was a hollowed out celery stick that was SUPER hard and not bite-throughable?! Really cool but… ALSO, how?!? Right next to my cup of beauty, boyfriend had a plain Blue Moon beer. πŸ˜›

To share, we had a huge Sourdough Bread Bowl filled with savory, creamy Seafood Chowder. I thought I didn’t like Sourdough but, I thought wrong– I like it more and more each time I try it. The chowder was filled with big plump WHOLE pieces of perfectly moist shrimp and just oh my goooosh, the waitress warned us it that it was amazing when we ordered it but, we thought she was just hyping it up… y’know, since she works there and that’s her job? She was absolutely not kidding though. It was probably THE best seafood chowder I’ve ever had.

We also shared a side of Biscuits and Gravy. The biscuits were soft and sticky, melt-in-your mouth, wonderful. The gravy was alright but, a bit plain compared to everything else.

Boyfriend had the Chicken Fried Steak platter with over-easy eggs, toast, and a cute hashbrown puck.

I had the pretty-plated Eggs Benny. There was ham, poached eggs, Hollandaise, and a drizzle of balsamic on two pieces of garlic toast. I also got two hashbrown pucks on the side. πŸ™‚ Everything was super yummy; I ate it all up except one of my hashbrowns!

Somehow, our Pork Sausage Links we ordered on the side came when we finished eating everything else so we packed them up to-go. We were too full to fit them in anyways. I was mad I never got a photo but, I was even more mad because boyfriend left them in the car overnight so, they went to waste and we never even got to eat them. YES, I am STILL bitter… even though, I GUESS, I could’ve reminded him, too. I still think it was his fault because he packed it up and put it on the backseat of the car, LOL.

When we got home, the sun was fully risen. I took a shower, we smoked a blunt, and went straight to sleep.

Yesterday, I woke up around 4 PM and boyfriend finally stirred awake at 5! I quickly took a shower, found some recipes and wrote down the ingredients so we could go grocery shopping. We also had to hit the dispensary and fill up our jugs of water.

When we finally got home, boyfriend cooked the quickest meal out of the recipes I had chosen– a beef and pasta shells goulash. He added a ton of his own ingredients and kind of ignored the instructions (he said they were “trash”). πŸ˜› It turned out really good though so I’m glad he did whatever he did.

I spent the entire night catching up on Love Island (UK) and Big Brother. When I ran out of episodes, we went to bed and I read a bit of Roomies by Christina Lauren before falling asleep. I realized I got my period right before that and was so happy to be relieved. πŸ˜€ I don’t feel 100% better, still a little cloudy and crabby, but I’m getting there.

Today, we woke up around 4 PM again. I didn’t want to wait for a dinner to be cooked and we had leftovers that needed to be eaten before going bad so we just heated those up. We watched the first episode of the first season of Masterchef while eating– can you believe I had never seen it before? I think I’ve watched bits and bobs of the newer seasons but, never a full season and definitely none of the older episodes. Gordon and Joe are so mean, oh my gosh, I feel bad but, it cracks me up!!!

For dessert, I asked boyfriend if he wanted to go out and get Fro-Yo!!!

We went to the nearest Yogurtland and were a little disappointed with the small range of flavors and toppings. When we finished eating, we headed home and I hopped onto WordPress after having a cup of coffee. πŸ™‚

Tomorrow, I am going to see Anastasia the Musical!! I am super excited. I had the film on VHS when I was a kiddo, I totally remember the beginning, but the ending has slipped my mind? I can’t wait to see it and share all about it with you!!

Hope you all had a great start to your week. ❀

  1. I love the mention of you all vacationing at that casino and wanting to move there. It’s like a little dream that happened for you all, I love it!! So glad to hear that things didn’t seem to change since the last time you went! I love ordering those noodle salads whenever I can, there’s something about the simplicity of them that’s so good to me. Thanks for catching us up once again, Hunida! Hope your night is lovely already!

    1. YESSS! You need to stop at Pin Up Pizza when you come here. ❀ It's so big & delicious!

I'm so happy we moved to Vegas, too. It meant a lot that boyfriend said we should move here because I thought I'd never get him out of Minnesota! πŸ˜› The celery straws were SUPER cool & so environmentally friendly! I don't think they were edible though, I couldn't bite through it!

In Love Island, the last episode I watched was where Anna & Jordan just left. I can't freakin' believe him! I thought he was so smitten with her & I loved them together so much. 😦 UGH! I'm happy she got to leave & not deal with the heartbreak in the villa though, poor girl!!

Hope you've been enjoying your week so far, too, Jennie!! ❀ Thank you!!

Aw that is so sweet! You guys obviously belong in Vegas, I’m so happy he wanted to move there with you! Oh okay! Well still, amazing and environmentally friendly is great!!! Who cares if ya can’t eat them!

OMG!!! Anna was so funny when she kicked off, when she kept going β€˜did you think the book was still open though?’ Omg an iconic moment but honestly I can’t believe Jordan wtf!?!? He literally just asked her to be his girlfriend and I thought he really liked her to! The wandering eye came out of NOWHERE! You’re so right though, she left at the perfect time and she was able to go home and be with her friends and family. Jordan’s loss, totally! Anna is beautiful! Where are you up to now?

        Thank you Hunida!!!! Xxx

    1. So right. After living in Boston for 13 years of my life, I can’t do Manhattan Clam Chowder, I have to have new England Clam chowder with some oyster crackers on the side. It’s touristy, but when I go to Boston, I have to have Clam chowder in a bread bowl at either one of the stalls at Quincy Market or at Legal Seafood.

  4. Mmmm nothing like a good smoked sausage sheet pan meal! Doesn’t matter what veggies you throw on there with it.

OMG you crack me up the way you gear up to go to work and then at the last second “Let’s get pizza instead!!!”

Mmm that brat looks good. What kind of a grill do you have? Stove top? Charcoal out on the patio? I need to get us a grill. I love that charcoal flavor.

Aww that’s a cute story about the Palace Station Casino.

OMGGGGGGG look at that seafood chowder!!!! Yumola!

The best sourdough bread bowl I ever had was not in San Francisco where you would think. Nope it was in Reno, at a casino, and it was filled with Clam Chowder.

    I need a hashbrown puck!!!!

Laughing at the story about the sausage getting left in the car.

Oh!!! Speaking of Love Island! In an episode of Euphoria, Rue is in a state of depression and says “I watched 22 straight hours of love island over a two-day period and yearn for more.” LOL

    Enjoy Anastasia!!!!!

    1. Agreed! It’s pretty hard to ruin a sausage sheet pan, they always turn out yummy. πŸ™‚

LOL I am glad I crack you up with my irresponsibleness. πŸ˜›

We don’t have a grill! Boyfriend made the brats on the stovetop!! I like that charcoal flavor, too, though… I wish we had one!

❀ hehe, happy you enjoyed the little sappy flashback! The Seafood Chowder needs to be eaten again lol, it was SO good!! I gotta visit Reno someday.

Those hashbrown pucks were packed with potatoes, I loved them & wish I could've shared the last one with you instead of letting boyfriend waste it!!

LOL this Rue person sounds like me. Maybe I'll have to look into watching Euphoria when Love Island ends.

      Thank you, Jinjer!! ❀

  5. OMG I’m not sure if the food from the Noodle Bar or the pizza place looked better, but now I want both!!! Also, the Froyo looks good, but bummer about the limited flavors.

I saw the Anastasia Musical when I was in NY and its so different from the movie, but they do include some of the same music. Very curious to for your thoughts on it!

    Liked by 1 person

    1. Hehe, they were both good but the pizza was def more special for me because of the size!! πŸ˜‰ We probably won’t be going to that Yogurtland ever again but oh well, it still cured my sweet tooth.

I can’t remember the Anastasia film at all for some reason! I know I watched it… but everything about it has slipped my mind! So cool that you were able to see it in NY! Can’t wait to compare notes. πŸ™‚

  6. As usual, the food looks good. Is the Vietnam Noodle Bar in Chinatown or on the Strip? Palace Station has really stepped up their game. It’s not just locals going there now. I’ve never tried Pin Up Pizza all the times I’ve gone to Vegas. (It’s that New York City Pizza snob , gf.)gotta try it and Evel Pizza downtown when I come back to Vegas , God willing .

    1. The Viet Noodle Bar is in Chinatown. πŸ™‚ Palace Station has really stepped up their game, adding new foodie restaurants & such after their renovation! I still think it’s mostly locals though, to be honest, LOL.

Ahh!! Not sure it will live up to your NYC pizza but you still gotta give it a try so I can know your thoughts! Boyfriend tried Evel without me so no comment on that one!

  7. The fried spring rolls wrapped in lettuce and all the other freshness sounds so good! We usually never have food leftover to go, but the one time we did we packed it all up and left it at the restaurant…we were both pretty sad to say the least!

  8. Pin Up pizza looks EPIC!!! Now that’s a nice NY slice!!! Yum yum! And I finally started BB last week while working out…. this season is soooo gooooooood. I’m obsessed. It makes me wanna go run first thing in the AM because all I wanna do is watch the show, lol! Thanks for convincing me to watch!

    1. Yess, Pin Up Pizza is awesome! I’ve never had a real NY slice though. πŸ˜›

Ooo!! I am so excited that you started BB now. Who are you liking so far?! The season really is super good, I am enjoying it & so happy that you are, too! β™‘

      1. Yes, this cast is tremendous!!! Hmmmmmm I go back and forth, but Kat is my favorite. (I’m not caught up so she may be off by now). And I actually like Nicole and Cliff<– those two really grew on me! How about you?!

        Liked by 1 person

          1. I hear ya. I usually don’t go for the Nicole β€œcharacter” (you know how they all play a type that is throughout big brother seasons?) but I think with this season she seems genuine and I felt so bad after the whole Nick and Bella drama where they threw her under the bus. Anyways- I have fallen asleep watching it the last few nights so I’m not caught up still but I’m just obsessed . I’ll be depressed when it’s all over 😭 it’s motivation to study through the whole day haha

            Liked by 1 person

            1. I felt bad for Nicdole during the whole Nick & Bella drama, too. She’s growing on me a bit more but she’s still not my fave. Have you seen the epi where they show Christie chewing like a donkey LOL, I thought you’d hate that so much hahaha. I’m not all the way caught up right now either though!

              Liked by 1 person

  9. I’m seriously dying to try those spring rolls I dont think I’ve ever had them. Omg the bowls look so good and isnt it weird that sometimes you wish there was more meat and other times more noodles? Like hardly anyone gets it right, but the perfect balance between meat and noodles is important to me lol
Omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg!!! Those pizza slices are HUGEE! Pizza is life, I’d love to go there!! That’s it! I’m making a list lololol
Oh wow that bloody Mary looks pretty good though I’ve never had one lol. Food looks good but too bad the sausages went to waste. I’d be mad too if it was something I really wanted to try
I know I’m really behind on catching up on your posts (its my turn now) but I’m gonna spend most of the day reading blogs since I’m kind of sick anyway lol

    Liked by 1 person

    1. Ooo, I hope you love spring rolls as much as I do when you try them for the first time. πŸ˜€ Yeah!! It really does seem hard for restaurants to get the meat to noodles/rice ratio right. The perfect balance is important to me, too lol!

LOL YESS!! Those pizza slices need to go on your list. They are SUPER huge & oh so tasty!!! ❀ I wonder if you'd like a Bloody Mary. Boyfriend hates them, they really don't taste like alcohol… just spicy tomato juice. I had a bite of one of the sausages and they weren't thaaaat good so I guess I forgive him. πŸ˜›

I'm still behind on reading blogs, too, no worries!! I hope that you're feeling better today! ❀

      1. I’ll keep them in mind whenever I go to a restaurant that serves them.
Well pizza is one of my favorite foods so of course I gotta add that pizza slice to my list lmao I gotta screenshot it or else I’ll forget later on.
And idk if I’ve already said this, my apologies if I did, but I had a michelada last weekend at my aunties bday party and really liked it they make those with beer though lol . I dont like beer but it didnt taste much like beer so I really enjoyed it
I’m feeling loads better! I felt so crappg for two days haha

        1. My favorite spring rolls are Vietnamese ones but, Thai places make them, too sometimes. πŸ™‚

I wish I could eat pizza all the time! It’s so yummy! & there are like a few places here where you can build your own that we’ve been dying to try but have to wait for a day where I’ll want to deal with the pain LOL.

Oh no you didn’t tell me! I hate beer but, I’d be willing to try a Michelada if I can’t taste it at all. If you enjoyed it, you will like a regular Bloody with hard alcohol, too, I think!!

Aw so happy to hear you are feeling better now. ❀ ❀ Being sick is the worst!

          Liked by 1 person

          1. Oh ok. I dont think I’ve eaten Vietnamese food. It seems they’re hard to come by or maybe they have them in certain areas around here. I’ve only seen Chinese and Thai, with a few Japanese places so far. What kind of food do Vietnamese restaurants have anyway?
Nice! We have Pieology here as well as MOD pizza. Both are create your own. If I remember correctly, only Pielogy has the option of choosing vegan cheese. Which I’ve tried and liked. For a slice or three lol. After that the cheese doesn’t taste the same anymore lol. But Pielogy’s pizzas are probably better than MOD. I’m not sure if you have either one over there.
You can* taste it a bit, but not a lot. So who knows, maybe you wouldn’t like it lol. I will be sure to try a bloody mary if I ever see it on a menu. I’m all about hard alcohol, beer can go fuck itself 🀣🀣
Thank you!! The boys might be next though lol. Alex always acts like hes dying,….bed ridden haha I swear guys cant handle being sick 🀣

            1. Oh that’s interesting! There’s sooo many Vietnamese restaurants in WA, I thought OR would be the same for some reason lol. Most people go to eat pho but, they also serve the vermicelli noodle salads that we always gets & soso much other stuff, like fried rice & stir-fries. etc.

Ohh!! That’s so good to know that Pieology has vegan cheese. I never even thought they would have that option. But I agree, it’s just not the same as reeeeal ooey gooey mozzarella. We have Pieology over here but, not sure about MOD. We have another one called PizzaRev, too.

Yeah seriously fuck beer!! I hate it. πŸ˜› I hope you like the Bloody Mary when you try it!!

LOLOL I always laugh & send those memes to boyfriend about how men act when they’re sick. They’re always SO accurate!! I hope they don’t get sick though. ❀

              Liked by 1 person

              1. I’m sure there are a few, just not where I live. I’ve only seen Thai ones around here I have to drive out a bit to the other side of town to get to all of those places but I’m sure I can find something much closer. I’ve also been noticing how a lot of places are going out of business, like mainly asian cuisine which sucks because I still want to find a good Chinese place but havent found the one…
I went there after Mackenzie wrote about it for the very first time that was a long time ago though. And when I saw they had built one by the mall I just had to go try it. Its really good I highly recommend it! Even if you dont get the vegan cheese I’m sure you will like it, at least I did and I hope you do too lolol
Alex got sick and then he got ME sick. I woke up Friday morning feeling so shitty and my tonsils were fucking swollen! I had to drive myself to the clinic to get meds and drive myself back it was the worst. I spent all day in bed, which is super rare of me. Haha

                Liked by 1 person

                1. I wonder if the Asian businesses are shutting down because of health reasons or money reasons! That’s sad to hear so many are. 😦

We will def go to Pieology one of these days, I’ll let you know what I think! I’ve never really not liked a pizza before though lol.

UGH! I hate when boyfriend gets sick because I know I am going to catch it no matter what. I’m sorry no one was there to get the meds for you!!! I’m happy you were able to lay in bed all day. ❀ Sometimes you need to rest, babe!!!
