Hey babes, I finally have a free minute to write an entry. πŸ™‚ I’m currently at my sister’s apartment in Minnesota, waiting for my brother to be done with his teenage activities. We’re going to the Treasure Island Casino to eat at the buffet. It’s CRAB LEG night and I am STOKED.

Last time I wrote, I told you that I’d be writing one more time before I left but, I never got around to it. I also said I’d show you a picture of my delicious sandwich that I ate after publishing so here it is, lol.

On July 5th, we had an Asian Salad Kit for dinner. Boyfriend added some tomatoes, red onions, and chicken.

I stayed sober at work minus one shot of Patron at the end of the night, right before I left. It was quite busy and the clients were all nice and respectful. πŸ™‚

On July 6th, we went to Bahama Breeze for dinner.

We have been here a few times before and just love everything we’ve ever ordered, including all food and drinks!

Boyfriend went for their Jerk Chicken Pasta which was absolutely splendid. It made me realize how much I truly miss dairy-based pasta sauces. 😦

I got their absolutely amazing Ahi Tuna Salad. The dressing they used was a special one– one they created specifically for their restaurant! It was to-die-for!!! ❀

That night at work wasn’t even half as busy as Friday but, this group of guys I had hung out with before came back to drink with me and some of my co-workers. I didn’t leave work until past 6 AM so when I got home, it was nearly 7 AM. Perfect timing to finally try this new breakfast spot called Eggscellent that opened up near our place. We were a little early and had to wait outside a minute but, I didn’t mind!

I checked in on Yelp right when we sat down and they granted us a free cinnamon roll. It was ooey gooey and warm… ❀

Boyfriend had a monstrous omelette with potato triangles and toast on the side. There was so much amount of flavor in the one bite I took. Neither he nor I was disappointed!

For me? The Red Rock Egg Benny with hashbrowns on the side. The Focaccia bread bottom was the best part. It was garlicky, super soft inside, and toasty on the outside. The eggs were perfectly poached but, didn’t seem to have ANY seasoning on them… luckily, salt and pepper at the table fixed that problem! And to top it all off, the bacon was crispcrispcrisp and oh so yummy.

We will definitely go back there whenever we can make it. It sucks that they’re only open from 7 AM to 3 PM.

On July 7th, I didn’t want to do anything but, rest to cure my hangover and bloated belly. We had to walk to the grocery store to pick up food for the week, though.

I had been thinking about ribs since I posted them last. I wanted to try the Jack Daniels kind this time. πŸ™‚ For our sides, we had baked beans and roasted veggies. It was such a lovely meal!!

I wanted to recap everyday before we left on the 10th but, time’s up and we gotta start heading to Treasure Island.

Be back soon!!

  2. Mmm, what was in the sub? AW MAN, I cried on the inside when i read how you missed dairy-based pasta sauces because when done right, they are so freaking good. Mmm, salads with seared tuna is an instant win for me plus they have their own house dressing!
Jesus, that fucking omelet WITH POTATOES SO GOOOOD. Oh I guess its cause they are breakfast/brunch place but omg if only that poached egg was topped with hollandaise sauce, yum yum yum. Don’t know if I have ever mentioned this but I LOVE YOUR BLOG AND ALL ITS FOODY GOODNESS. Drink plenty of water or green tea to help rid of the bloatedness sweetie! Have a lovely weekend! Still waiting for the Minnesota posts! πŸ˜˜πŸ€—β˜Ί

    1. Ooo girl, that sub was packed lol. There was ham, bacon, spinach, cucumbers, tomatoes, red onions & mayo on it. 🀀 Dairy-based pasta is theeee best. I cry about not being able to eat it all the time, too! 😭

Yes yes yes, seared tuna alone is always good, isn’t it?! The dressing def added more oomph to it though. β™‘

Lol! That omelet was awesome, wasn’t it?! The poached egg actually did have the hollandaise sauce on top– I forgot to mention it!

I am so happy to hear you love my blog, Cordelia!! Thanks for the debloating tips. πŸ˜‰ I already drink a lot of water but I will try green tea!!

I’ll start writing those MN posts soooon. β™‘

      1. Mmmmm, I like subs that are so well-balanced. PERFECT HOLLANDAISE IS THE BEST. If not you can also try ginger tea, its not the most pleasant but there are some teas that mix it with other leads making it so much nicer! Okay, I’ll be checking!

        1. Yesss, I love a stuffed sub, haha. Skinny ones aren’t for me! πŸ˜› I’m not sure that I’m a huge fan of Hollandaise. I’ve had it over a lot of stuff but not sure I know what it’s supposed to taste like separately, if that makes sense!

I will try both ginger & green tea to cure my bloat from now on! Thank you, Cordelia. ❀

  3. I have to check out those asian salad kits! They look delicious! And the Bahama Breeze pasta looks sooooo goodd!!!! I live for pasta lol.
Breakfast is literally my favorite meal and I will splurge when I can haha I love the name of the restaurant and the fact that they gave you a free cinnamon roll for checking in! 😁
I hate that those places tend to only stay open for a few hours too! The best places always close so early.
I hope you’re having fun in MN!

    1. Mmm, yess!! I love the Asian Salad Kits. They are by Taylors Farm if you look for them at the store. πŸ™‚

Bahama Breeze is so good & I love pasta, too! I just wish I could always have dairy-based sauces. 😭

I love getting free food for checking in lol. It’s always the best surprise/reward!! & I totally agree, the best places really do always close earliest.

MN was so fun, we’re back home now! Can’t wait to share all about it. πŸ˜„

      1. I still haven’t been able to find them at Fred Meyer sadly, we don’t have an Albertson’s nearby anymore 😦
I’ll have to get yelp or something haha I want free food too XD
Awesome!! Can’t wait to read all about it!! xx

        1. Aww, I wonder if Fred Meyer carries a different brand of salad kits that may be similar… hmm. I’d be surprised if they didn’t lol, if I remember correctly they have EVERYTHING!!

Yesss girl, boyfriend has the Yelp app on his phone just to check-in for free food!! You should totally download it!!

  4. I hope your trip is going/went well!! I think we all understand that you’ve been busy. πŸ™‚ Anyway can I just say the decor at the Bahama Breeze is too cute?! I feel like a lot of places have the same vibe these days and it gets boring, but theirs is so creative and definitely goes with that beachy vibe!

    1. We just made it home yesterday! The trip went amazingly well. πŸ™‚

I totally know what you mean about the Bahama Breeze decor. I LOVE it!! Their foods/drinks are all beachy themed, too!!

  5. Woohooo for crab leg night!!

I love Bahama Breeze! I loved going there for my bday when I lived in OH. That Jerk chicken pasta looks incredible… but that ahi tuna!!! My eyes are so wide! Yummyyyy. Dressing with an ahi tuna salad can be tough (when I make it at home I never know what to use)- so that’s great they had a good one!

Oh my gosh, so much good food here. I might need to have a second breakfast haha.

    Thanks for sharing, Hunida!

    1. Nothing better than AYCE Crab Legs. πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

Bahama Breeze is SO cool, I love it there, too. ❀ I didn't know there were so many locations all over! But yeah, that Ahi Tuna Salad was perfect, I feel like you need a super light, kinda tart, thin dressing.

❀ ❀ Thanks for reading, Mackenzie!!!
