June 19, 2019
Wowza, June is seriously FLYING by. It’s already the 19th?? This is actually NUTS right now. It doesn’t feel like that long ago since I wrote a Journal Entry but, I guess it was nearly a week ago again!! We have to go all the way back and recap from when I last posted. 😛
Before I went to bed Friday night/Saturday morning, I finally used my bath bomb I received in my Marianella Pamper Me Box. The scent was a little strong at first but, faded away nicely over time. The water just turned black, not at all fizzy, and also stained my skin and tub. It was hard work wiping it all off but, at least my skin felt softer.
Since I was on my period, I didn’t really feel like doing anything even if it was my birthday on Saturday. Since we went grocery shopping on Friday, we had meals to cook at home, so we stayed in. On Sunday, we went to Jersey Mike’s.
I got the Classic Italian on Wheat with no cheese and boyfriend got the Club Supreme (or Supreme Club?). He kindly offered to let me take a photo of it but, I was too lazy sooo… just enjoy the looks of mine. 🙂 I had only been one time before when I lived in Washington but, it was boyfriend’s first time. We both really liked our sandwiches!!
By Monday, I was finally relieved of my Aunt Flo and I needed to get my booty back to work. I was feelin’ so bloated and angry for the past two weeks but, I’m a whole new person now. 😀
We made our last meal at home, watched Celeb Family Feud while eating and then went to get espressos at Starbucks. I reshaped my nails while watching YouTube vids when I got home. It was getting late by the time I finished so I only got to spruce up my toes and put a clear coat on my fingers. I’m pretty proud of my shaping though!!
Work was pretty good. I had super nice clients except for the very last one. He was gross and also, stupid. He somehow put his debit card in the ATM, no, NOT in the card slot, like… actually IN it but, I was able to somehow slide it out using another card. I was there from like 11 PM-3 AM.
Yesterday, we went out to eat at RA Sushi at the Fashion Show Mall. I’m a little upset now that I think about it. I totally should’ve stopped into Sephora for my birthday gift… or can you only get those on the day of?
I saw they had Hibachi Entrees which I was craving but, hate sitting at that communal table and watching the chef cook the food in front of us. They never portion the stuff equally or maybe I’m just a gluttonous.
It was around 100 degrees but, their big door was open so inside wasn’t much cooler than outside. I didn’t mind and always want to sit outdoors but boyfriend usually starts melting so, I always bring a sweater and sit inside for him. It was my turn to choose a spot (since it made no difference)!!
We were lucky to have walked in during Happy Hour. Their Salmon Nigiri and Garlic Yuzu Yellowtail were both on the half-off menu. 😀
I honestly didn’t think their salmon quality was any better than AYCE and holy crap, they drowned their yellowtail in that sauce!! It was so salty and I couldn’t even taste the fish. 😦
We both got the Steak and Shrimp Hibachi Entree. It came with yummy veggies and chicken fried rice. The shrimp were a bit overcooked but, the steak was on point. I couldn’t finish my bowl so I know we made the right choice of going here instead of a traditional hibachi spot.
I have been DYING to try Honeymee since it opened up but, every time we go to the mall, I have to work the day of or the day after. Their ice creams are made of TRUE MILK so yeah. That would have never worked out.
I had a musical to go to at 7:30 but, I thought I’d be okay!!
We had such a hard time deciding what we wanted to order because EVERYTHING sounded amazing.
We shared a Honey Hibiscus Tea and it was just OKAY. The Hibiscus flavor was too artificial and the tea was a bit too sweet.
BUT THE FREAKING HONEY AFFOGATO, you guys, has me drooling just looking at it. The ice cream and honey were both SO pure and wonderful, I’ve never tasted such clean dairy and perfectly fresh and sweet honey– the color of it was nearly clear. The coffee at the bottom was the right amount of bitter to finish it off. Gosh, just wow, it was amazing. My mouth is seriously salivating right now thinking about it.
I hope Honeymee stays open for awhile because since living in Las Vegas, we’ve seen three different shops in this same location. I need this in my life forever. Even though I am still dealing with the consequences as I type.
We went to the dispensary to get more weed and also stopped at Albertsons to buy some ground coffee. I wanted to drink a cup or two before seeing Charlie and the Chocolate Factory but, nah, my stomach was having enough of a fit already… if you know what I mean.
There were a ton more kids than usual, of course, but actually they were all so well-behaved. It was the parents who kept talking to them and asking them “is that how it happened in the movie? I don’t remember that!” or “how are you doing? You okay?” over and over again.
The show started at 7:38 PM, AKA 8 minutes late.
I was reading that boring Eleanor Oliphant book and nearly dozed off. Like, how long was she going to go on about Raymond’s mom’s house?! I am done with her and her far-beyond-me vocab. It was a draaaag and I don’t care about all the good reviews.
What I DID enjoy, what kept me awake, was the musical!! It went by super quickly and ended earlier than excepted but, man was it CUTE.
I loved how each Golden Ticket winner got their own song. They made it seem like a music video each time and it was so awesome. There were some really cool props and special effects, but MAN, there were so many screens playing cartoons and different videos a lot, too. I got a headache from all of it by the end.
My biggest complaint was how loud the music was. I could barely hear or understand the singing especially during Augustus Gloops’ and Veruca Salt’s songs– they had strong accents so it made it 10x worse.
The cast also seemed a bit tired and less lively than I would have liked besides Charlie, who was played by Collin Jeffery. He was adorable, had so much spunk, and his voice carried throughout the whole theater. The Oompa Loompas were actually terrifying and the way the other kids were taken out of the competition was WAY more gorey and scary than the original.
All of the songs were fun and upbeat, the choreography was a bit all over the place but, the ballet dance scene in “If Your Father Were Here” with Mrs. Bucket and the ghost of Mr. Bucket was beautiful. I also enjoyed hearing a slow song in the midst of all the chaos.
I do think the show was quick and upbeat to keep kids entertained throughout the whole thing but, there are definitely some 18+ jokes sprinkled in that will keep the adults laughing and I am still a bit shocked by how the other kids were taken out of the factory.
Boyfriend picked me up when the show was over and then, I played Sims 4 all night. There’s a new expansion pack coming out on the 21st but, I just bought Jungle Adventure and haven’t done much with it so I’ll wait until their next sale to get it. 😉 It does look awesome though!!
Today, all I’ve done is take a shower, smoke a blunt, and write this. We’re probably gonna heat up some dinner to eat now and then, I’m gonna spend my night gaming. I’ll try to be back with a post of some kind tomorrow before I go to work but, I have to paint my nails so I might not be back until Friday!!
