I am going through such a funk. I still haven’t heard back about that personal loan, I am PMSing, super crabby, and super hungry. All I’ve been doing is wasting my time, moping around the apartment…
I haven’t even written a journal entry since Saturday. 😛 I got super drunk that night before and at work but, still did okay profit-wise… that’s good, I guess… but, what was even better was having breakfast with boyfriend when I got off.
We always go to Blueberry Hill because no other 24/7 diner beats it.
I got the biscuits and gravy with over easy eggs and three sausage links while boyfriend got his rightful fave, the breakfast meatloaf with home fries and eggs done the same way as mine. Everything was so scrumptious!!!
On Sunday, we didn’t feel like doing much (do we ever?) but, since it was so beautiful out, we took a walk to La Bahia for dinner.
We ordered all of our food to-go but, as we waited for it to be made, we were given complimentary chips with salsa and beans. I loved both dips.
To share, we tried sopas (with beef) for the first time. They reminded me of bite-sized hard shell tacos. The pickled veg in the middle was probably the best part.
Boyfriend ordered mixed meat shish kebabs with shrimp, chicken, and beef. It was alright but, rather dry… everything was a bit overcooked– especially the shrimp.
I got what I always get… chicken, with a fried plantain, plantain chips, red beans and rice, and a little salad. This never disappoints and I was given the biggest piece of chicken, ever.
I spent the rest of my day playing Sims 4.
On Monday, we had to go grocery shopping. I was lazy and late to get up so by the time we made it to Sprouts, we were both extremely hungry. When we finished crossing everything off of our list, we stopped at the deli and ordered a HOT sandwich but, ended up getting a cold one. 😡
We noticed they missed some of the toppings, too… it was NOT a good first impression, Sprouts sandwich makers.
They are lucky it was still yummy because the havarti cheese saved the day. I could eat blocks of that stuff– I just couldn’t be around people for awhile afterwards (which I don’t really mind!). I also liked that red paste smeared between the turkey meat, I forget what it was though.
It did its job of holding us over until boyfriend finished making dinner then, I spent my entire day browsing YouTube and playing games…
We did have to make a quick run to Albertson’s in the middle of the night though because we ran out of coffee and toilet paper. We picked up this beautiful cheesecake and shared it.
I’m still dreaming about it now.
On Tuesday, I had a bright idea of buying a bottle of Patron and getting ready for work. In this funk, drinking isn’t always the best for me. I ended up staying home (duh, who wouldn’t have guessed, right?) but, at least, we didn’t go out to the bar. I kind of needed that night, to be honest. I’ve been straight stressin’ for weeks.
Yesterday, I just “Hulu and chilled.” I caught up on all my shows so I had to find a new one to binge. The OC popped up in my recommendations… and after all these years, I FINALLY GAVE IT A SHOT– thanks so much to Britney!! She has told me a few times that I’d enjoy it so I knew I just had to when I saw it and… well… she definitely knows my taste!! I watched like 5 episodes in a row until I fell asleep with Sushi on my lap. ❤
Who is so sophisticated and always crosses his paws like this. 😀 I promised Courtney I’d get a photo next time I caught him but, that’s really just an excuse to share him with you all, hehe.
Today, we heated up some leftovers for dinner. Boyfriend made homemade hummus for the first time (earlier this week) and now, I totally get why people say buying it pre-made is crazy. It was easy for him, it uses such a small amount of ingredients, and we both thought it tasted amazing– even better than store bought.
I watched the new Star episode while I ate but didn’t get to finish it before we had to leave for coffee. Now, it’s already 8 PM and I gotta get ready for work.
Hope you have a nice weekend!!
