Hey all!! Becky and Bex both tagged me in the “Two Truths & A Lie Book Tag” all the way back in February when it was buzzin’ in the blogosphere but, you know me… I am always late with the tags and awards. πŸ˜› Thanks so much for thinking of me, girlies! I apologize for being so tardy to the party. ❀

How to Participate

  • Create a post with your two bookish truths and one bookish lie – but be sure to keep it a secret so your readers can guess!
  • Reveal the lie in a spoiler at the bottom of your post (you can use this HTML code!)

If you didn’t realize by my post’s title, I have already decided to break the first rule of participation. Since I was tagged twice, I’m going to double the amount of truths and lies. πŸ˜‰

My FOUR Truths & TWO Lies

  1. Last year, I reached my Goodreads Reading Challenge Goal but, this year… I’m not even close!
  2. My Kindle shelf is never empty.
  3. I always have my next book checked out and waiting for me before I finish reading my current one.
  4. My favorite book is a memoir.
  5. Fifty Shades of Grey is my favorite series.
  6. I have never finished any of the Harry Potter books.

Click here to uncover my dirty lies…#1 is a lie because I didn’t reach my Goodreads Goal last year but, the part about me not even being close this year is the TRUTH. #5 is the second lie– I wasn’t even able to get through the first book in the series.

Which ones did you think were lies? Did you guess right? Do we have any bookish habits/facts in common?

      1. I don’t either. A friend who is a submissive dismissed it as “pretty vanilla”. I guess people want to see a bit of kink, but without having to explore it themselves or get too deep.

  1. I guessed #5 was a lie, I tried to read the first book of 50 Shades of Grey but wasn’t a fan. I’ve seen the first two films but I’m yet to watch the third. I thought #3 was the other lie πŸ˜›

  2. I figured #1 and #3 were the lies. Growing up my cousin worked at a bookstore and would always get me the Harry Potter books when they first came out. I never read a single one.

  3. Well I got the second lie right, lol. You just didn’t strike me as enjoying that kind of series, lol! And apparently I forgot that you told us all about your Goodreads challenge. πŸ˜‰ So fun!

      1. I’ve heard a lot of people don’t like the 50 Shade books even if they like steamy novels! I haven’t read it, maybe someday I will try it, but I also haven’t watched the movies. I do like some steamy novels but from what I’ve heard 50 shades seems a little…abusive? I don’t know if that’s the right term, lol. But not exactly my cup of tea. πŸ˜‰

      1. I wish! But my library blocks access to the library card if you don’t come in every 3 years to make sure your contact information is updated. You can’t even do it over the phone so I guess that’s their way of making sure library cardholders still live in the county. :/

  4. Ohh such a fun idea for a post!

    Okay my guesses:

    Truths are : 1, 2, 3, 6

    Lies are: 4, 5

I was close! I just mixed up 1 and 4 πŸ™‚ This was so fun! I have never really had the desire to read 50 shades- good to know I’m not missing out! And I am with you on my kindle shelf never being empty! I have a list that’s soo long it can be overwhelming haha.

    1. Yay!! At least you got one right. πŸ˜‰ & I never really had the true desire to read 50 Shades either but I couldn’t help but to try with all the hype. You are definitely not missing out though! There is no point except “omg he’s so sexy, I am helpless” LOL. It is so hard to keep an organized &/or empty shelf on Kindle!!
