Hi guys! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!!
When I published my last Journal Entry, I went off to paint my nails. I redid them but, I used the same shade. My holographic Color Club polish in Bewitched.
Boyfriend and I went to the bar before he dropped me off. I had one drink and got into work a little past midnight. It started off slow but, quickly picked up then, died down again. I left at around 4:30 AM.
On Saturday, I woke up at almost 4 PM. Boyfriend went to work and I ate my leftover Chipotle for dinner. I watched an episode of Star, played with my cats, and wrote my Recipe Reviews before he got home with my espresso shots. I did my hair and makeup then, we went to the bar for some drinks again. We also ordered a Club Sandwich on wheat bread to share. IT WAS SO FUCKING GOOD. Especially the bacon.
I had two Patrons mixed with pineapple juice before we left. I got to work around midnight thirty. It was pretty slow for me or maybe I was just too drunk. 😛 I called boyfriend to pick me up around 3 AM.
I showered when I got home then, we smoked a blunt in bed and hung out until the sun came up before going to sleep… 😀
Today, we both woke up around 2 PM. After I took a quick shower, I found three recipes for the week, smoked a blunt, and wrote the shopping list. We went to Sprouts, as usual, to get our groceries.
It was getting pretty late already so we dropped our food off at home and went out to eat at Pho So 1. My dad and his wife ate here twice during their visit last weekend… they told us it was good so we were excited to try it. We haven’t been able to find any good pho around here!
To share, we got Shrimp and Pork Spring Rolls.
Their sauce was yummy and everything tasted fresh but, they weren’t wrapped very tightly. I hate when all the goodies fall out. 😦
We also got chicken wings that were def overpriced– look how tiny they are! The glaze was a sweet and sour fish sauce that had a very pungent smell but, tasted quite nice.
I got the beef broth pho with rare steak, flank steak, and tripe. Boyfriend also got the beef broth but his meats were rare steak, flank steak, and brisket. We both were repulsed by our bowls. The broth had no flavor, the meats were SO bland, and the noodles were too soggy. I have NO idea what my dad was tasting… I texted him saying, “this place should be called Pho So Nasty!” and he said, “maybe it was a different cook for me” but, I don’t believe him. I’m never going back!!! Even their Iced Vietnamese Coffee I ordered at the end was disgusting. They added so much sweetened condensed milk, it wasn’t even liquid anymore– it had turned into taffy!
On the plus side, the restaurant was located right by Chinatown so we easily drove down to one of our favorite spots, Gelato Bar. I chose the Coffee flavor for my cone. It was perfectly strong and oh, so delish.
Boyfriend got Toasted Almond and took a photo of it for me. 🙂 We sat down and chatted at one of the tables while we licked on our creamy cones.
On our way home, we had to stop at the dispensary, the smoke shop, and Smith’s because Sprouts didn’t have big salmon fillets and we forgot to buy toilet paper. I also bought another jar of those spicy pepperoncinis.
When we got home, we smoked a blunt and brewed a pot of coffee. When the blunt was finished, I hopped onto here.
I don’t know what I’m going to do for the rest of the night but, I’m feeling like playing with makeup, reading blogs, and pinning stuff on Pinterest. I made a new board on there for my blog posts so, if you want to follow it, you can: here. I’ll be creating a pin every time I publish something on my blog from now on. 🙂
Have a good night and a lovely week! ❤
