My Review

You may have noticed that we make sheet pans including sausages quite a bit. That’s because they are always so yummy and nearly impossible to screw up. The seasoning for this one was really nice, nothing needed to be added or dipped into anything. Only having broccoli and potatoes was a little boring though.

Ingredients You’ll Need

  • 1 pound russet potatoes, scrubbed and cut into spears
  • 2 T extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 T paprika
  • 2 teaspoons dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 pound whole broccoli, cut into spears
  • 2 T extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 12 ounces Italian Sausage, cut on the bias (we used smoked sausage)

My Review

We were definitely not bored by this dish! There was so much flavor and spice! Roasted celery was a new thing for us and I hope to see it included in more recipes in the future now. Everything was just cooked to absolute perfection.

Ingredients You’ll Need

  • 1.5-2 pounds of chicken drumsticks
  • 2 cups potatoes, thickly diced
  • 1 and 1/2 cup of onion, chopped
  • 3 long carrots, sliced
  • 3 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons coconut aminos (we used soy sauce)
  • 2 tablespoons honey (no additives)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon dried onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon allspice
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

Steak Bites w/ Sweet Potatoes & Peppers

My Review

Steak is my favorite, I am such a sucker for delicious red meat! Cut up into bite-sized pieces, sauced up, and mixed with sweet potatoes and peppers? Ugh… I am drooling all over my keyboard reminiscing about it. The steak was juicy, peppers were thoroughly cooked but still had a nice crunch, and the sweet potatoes were well done.

We served it with… Minute Rice Organic Red Quinoa & Brown Rice w/ Garlic

Ingredients You’ll Need

  • 1 large sweet potato (about 12 ounces) diced into 1″ pieces
  • 1 tsp sea or kosher salt
  • 1 lb flat iron steak diced into 1″ pieces
  • 3 tbsp olive oil divided
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 bell peppers seeded and diced into 1″ pieces
  • 4 green onions thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp coconut aminos (we used soy sauce)
  • 2 tsp cracked black pepper
  • 2 tbsp fresh chopped cilantro

    1. My boyfriend actually cooks all the food in these reviews πŸ˜› I asked him your question though and he said, “I don’t know if my skills have improved but I have a better knowledge of what foods/spices work well together.” πŸ™‚

Eating his food everyday, I would say he has improved tremendously!

  1. Oh boy these recipes all sound so yummy!!! Unfortunately, I have a bit of a cold or allergies and don’t think I have the energy to cook for the next several days. We will be eating frozen meals and salad kits and dreaming about these meals, especially that steak one!

      1. Oh no!! I’m so over this sneezing. Ugh. I’m using Flonase but it says it WILL NOT WORK for a cold so I guess this must be a cold, not allergies, because it’s sure not working.

  4. I used to cook meals with kielbasa/smoked sausage all the time! It’s sooo tasty lol. And you’re right, it’s hard to mess up. Also, I don’t think I’ve ever had jerk chicken?! I’ve heard a lot about it though.
