So my period has ended and it’s time for me to go back to work. It’s almost the weekend for most folk but, for me, the week has just started.

Next week, I have a musical to attend on Tuesday and boyfriend’s birthday is on Thursday so, I’ll be quite busy. We need to set up our tax appointment still and they are due in just 32 days (April 15). I sure hope our lady has a time slot available for us the week after next. I gotta remind boyfriend to call her tomorrow.

Yesterday was another day off. I didn’t leave the house once but boyfriend had to make a quick run to the dispensary. He was gifted this cute little “stash” jar with a sticker, some rolling papers, and a little joint roller inside of it. The company who made them was just packing up to leave after some sort of presentation and he just got it for free while everyone else had to buy a certain amount of product from them.

I wrote my book review post for Emmy & Oliver and spent the rest of the night reading blogs as I did the night before. I am SO close to all the way caught up on my Reader now but, I feel as though it is never going to happen.

A few hours before bed, I stopped reading blogs and watched the second episode of Good Girls Season 02 on Hulu and a few episodes of Fit for Fashion on Netflix while painting my nails. I used the shade Hunter by Zoya. πŸ™‚

It was pretty late when we went to lay down so I was already too tired to read the novel I just started (The Mars Room). I only had time to look for three recipes before my eyes closed.

We usually go grocery shopping only once a week but, honestly, boyfriend’s cooking has gotten so good I rather eat at home than go out. Going out always makes my stomach hurt and it’s just so difficult making sure things are dairy-free. I mean, we def still go out a lot but, we’ve finally gotten to the point where we prefer home cooked meals now.

When I woke up today around 3 PM, boyfriend was already out in the living room playing his video games. I took a shower as quick as I could, wrote the shopping list while we smoked a blunt, and then we went to Sprouts.

I tried to limit myself with snacks but we still kinda spent more than I planned… oopsie!!! There are just too many goodies all around. I am happy with all of my purchases though and I added in two different deodorants to the cart so they shouldn’t count in the total amount, right? πŸ˜‰

Please, please, please cross you fingers for me that this new stick will work. It smells nice so far but, I don’t know how it will hold against my rapid sweat at work…

So, that’s why I picked up these wipes to bring with. Now, if the stick fails… hopefully these can rescue me??

When we got home boyfriend hurried through the dishes; since our dishwasher is somehow broken again, he had to do them by hand, sponge, and soap… the poor guy!! Then, he quickly rolled us a blunt and we smoked it while I read some blogs on my Reader. He rushed off to start on dinner and I watched the baking show while he cooked. The food was done pretty quickly and it was absolutely delicious. ❀ We couldn’t say the same for last night’s dinner though, lol.

It was around 07:45 PM when we finished eating and the Starbucks we go to closes at 8 PM so we pretty much ran to the car so we could make it on time. I thought I wanted a hot espresso but our baristas always always always burn it so I don’t know what I was thinking. Boyfriend was already handing me his iced espresso as if he knew I was going to hate the hot one… lol, man… what would I do without him??

I checked my notifications on here right when we got back from Starbucks then, started typing this up. I need to go do my hair and makeup now so too-da-loo!!! ❀

  1. That nail color is gorgeous 😍
Good luck with the deodorant, hope it’s a nice one. I tried shower gels and shampoo form that brand. They smelled really nice. Shampoo was not really impressive, but none of these natural things work for me, so that means nothing πŸ˜…

  2. Loveee you nail colour! 😍 I always wanted that kind of shade but idk why I still didn’t have one lol.
I think it’s great when you guys prefer home cooked meals. 😊
I never seen any deodorant wipes here. I stopped using deodorant (just because some says it’s not that good lol) for almost a month now and I smells horrible! πŸ€£πŸ˜‚ I need to buy asap!

    1. Thank you! It’s my first green shade & I had been one wanting one for awhile, too! I don’t know why it is just kind of an odd color for nails but I think I like it. πŸ™‚

The meals at home have just been so good! I feel like going out to eat is harder work now when I used to think it was the easy way.

I don’t like the wipes at all! They are not good lol. I have been using deodorant and none of them are working so I smell horrible, too!

    1. Ahh, I wouldn’t recommend any of the deodorant products at this moment. Definitely not the wipes but I’m gonna try the stick a little more. πŸ˜› Lol yes, my boyfriend really is great but I am sure I annoy him a bit! I’ll be seeing Betty Buckley Hello, Dolly next week! Can’t wait to share all about it. ❀ Hope you have a great weekend, Stephanie!

  3. Ooh I hope the new deodorants work out well for you! Joshua is trying out the charcoal one from Schmidt’s. Is there any reason in particular why you aren’t wanting to use Schmidt’s anymore? It’s soooo hard to find a good deodorant that actually prevents sweating fairly well. Oh and what a bummer that your dishwasher is broken! We didn’t have a dishwasher at our old apartment and we would be devastated if this one broke and we had to go back to washing all of them by hand again!

    1. I am done with Schmidt’s because the white stains are ridiculous and the odor-blocking doesn’t last long at all for me anymore, like I start smelling again within 2 or 3 hours. How is Joshua liking the charcoal one? My sister tried it but it didn’t work for her.

Our dishwasher has already broken before. We just told the office & they brought us a new one so I’m hoping they can do the same for us again. πŸ˜› I just don’t want them to say it was our fault…

      1. That’s good to know about Schmidt’s! Joshua hasn’t had an issue with odor so far, so it seems okay for him. Apparently the deodorant is pretty rough to rub on though, so he’s not a huge fan of that. He also doesn’t sweat very much, so that could explain why it works well for him. I’m gonna try Schmidt’s with my next deodorant, but I do sweat a lot and I hate white marks so we will see how it works for me.
Have you heard of Native deodorant? Apparently it’s one of the best for natural deodorants, but it’s so expensive…like $11/stick! O.O I don’t know about you, but I can’t afford that lol. I’ve also seen Tom’s but I don’t think that helps with sweating at all, just odor.

As long as there isn’t like obvious damage to it, I’m sure they won’t think it’s your fault! Sometimes these appliances just go out. Hopefully they replace it without any issues!!

        1. Yeah, I agree! Sometimes if the deodorant is cold, it gets super rough & almost gritty so it hurts to rub on. πŸ˜› I sweat a lot though so, yeah. I need something much stronger.

I don’t care about cost. I just want to stop sweating & smelling. I will try anything. Even if it is not natural or cruelty-free at this point.

Yeah, but they are always asking annoying questions about how it stopped working lol. At least I have boyfriend to go talk to them though. If I lived alone, I’d probably settle for washing my dishes by hand forever.

          1. That’s really strange about the texture! I guess that’s because it’s natural. I would be interested in hearing how your new deodorant works for sure. Also if you need something stronger, maybe one of the clinical strength options from Secret or Dove would help!

Hahaha I know I hate confrontation, so I would probably avoid talking with them too. Yesterday, we grocery shopped and found an item broken when it was bagged when we got out to the car, and I didn’t want to go back in to exchange it lol. Of course we did, but I probably wouldn’t have if it was just me. πŸ˜‰

            1. I have tried the clinical strength, even the men’s kind. LOL. The deodorant I just bought has a nice, smooth texture & it’s natural, too, so I really don’t know what the heck is up with Schmidt’s grittiness… I actually sprayed my armpits with perfume last night and it worked better than any actual deodorant I’ve tried.

LOL I am the same, I would probably not have gone back in either but I definitely would’ve asked boyfriend to do it!!

              Liked by 1 person

              1. Oh, that’s good to know that your new deodorant is nice and smooth! I’ll have to see if I can find that brand next. I doubt I will want to stick with how rough Schmidt’s is. Oh that’s a good idea! I know perfume wouldn’t help with sweating, but it makes sense that it would help with odor!

Good to know it’s not just me, haha!

                Liked by 1 person

    1. He really is!! ❀ I just started having troubles with my armpits… ugh. What kind of deodorant do you use? I don't even care if it's natural or not anymore.

      1. Oh rlly?? Hmm i did as a kid cause school was stressful!! I kid you not my white school shirts always had yellow stains yuck sorry if thats tmi but really nothing worked.

Just mix coconut oil the cold pressed kind i think, and baking soda! My mom would add something called MAIZENA its for baking but i stopped using that and it still works for me
Coconut oil and baking soda!! Let me know if it works for u ok ☝️

          1. Girl I was actually working on that post and to publish it soon for the summer that’s why I was hesitant to tell you cause like, I was gonna post about it anyway lmfao
Don’t worry it’s coming! and tbh it melts so it just can’t be in a warm area!

  4. I feel ya on the β€œwork” week. I feel like sometimes I get majority of my school work done on weekends and then am able to relax Monday/Tuesday evening a bit after everything is turned in! Do y’all have any big plans for the BF’s bday?!

Love love love the Hunter’s shade!!

I totally know what you mean about preferring home cooked meals!!! There are definitely times where I’m like, β€œWhy are we spending $20 on this?! I could make this at home!”.

Let us know how the EO works! My fingers are crossed for ya!

    1. I am changing it up a bit this week because I am preparing to go to work tonight & tomorrow since boyfriend’s birthday is on Thursday. We only have dinner plans so far & that will probably be all we do. πŸ˜› He actually picked the Hunter shade, I was surprised how pretty it turned out!! So glad you like it, too. ❀ & YES, the biggest disappointment of going out to eat is when it's a dish that would have been BETTER homemade. Happens too often!!

I am not liking those EO wipes but I am still testing the stick a bit more…

    1. Gosh, I know ❀ he is too perfect, isn't he?!

Thank you for the well wishes, Kat! My weekend ended up alright and my sweat was still coming out like crazy! 😦 I hope you had a nice weekend & a great upcoming week!!

  5. That nail polish looks nice!! I still have to find time to do my nails.
I bought a new deodorant too and hoping it works. It’s the lavender ons from schmitts.
And yay for homemade cooking. It’s the best when you find a nice recipe lol. I made something new yesterday, felt that it needed more seasoning but the shrimp was πŸ‘ŒπŸ»

    1. Thank you! It’s time I re-do my nails already. πŸ˜› & I actually bought the new deodorant to replace my Lavender one by Schmidt’s. It stopped working for me completely. 😦 I hope it works better for you!!! & yeah, I feel like boyfriend tweaks a lot of recipes now so that they always come out good. I love shrimp!! Lol.

      1. I’m actually not even sure if I like it? Lol. It applies crumbly, almost. Like even waiting a bit on contact to soften the stick doesnt do a single thing lol. I love the scent though and so far it has kept me pretty dry and not stinky since I’m working out almost every morning.

        Liked by 1 person

        1. Yeah you definitely have to soften the stick and the white stuff rubs all over your armpits & clothes, huh?? I love the scent too though & I’m glad it is keeping you odor-free. πŸ˜€ My stink has become too strong for it, I think LOL!!

          1. I haven’t noticed it rubbing off on my clothes but then again I haven’t checked but if its gonna be like that all the time I may not even like it after all which sucks because I had high hopes 😭

            Liked by 1 person

            1. Yeah I take my top on and off a lot so I noticed it rubbed off all the time! I used a whole thing of the Rose scented one but ever since switching to Lavender, it hasn’t worked quite as well for me!

  6. I love that nail polish!!
And it’s so hard to catch up on the reader, I’m always a few days behind.
Those deodorant wipes would be perfect for in my purse, there have been days when I’ve forgotten to put on deodorant and then I remember right when I get to work, it’s the absolute worst!

    1. Thank you, Cleia! It was perfect for this month. πŸ™‚ I am always a few days behind on the Reader, too but, I kind of like knowing I always have something to read lol.

I forget deodorant a lot too!! I thought I was the only one πŸ˜‚ but, those wipes are a no-go. They made me smell worse!

      1. Yes that’s true! I’m working on replying to comments today and then I need to catch up on the reader tomorrow again. We haven’t had wifi for days so I’ve been lurking in Starbucks and Tim Hortons to use their free wifi haha

It’s such an awful feeling! I’m going to look for those wipes next time I’m out.
