Hello there my fellow bloggers and blog readers. ❀ Today!! I’m dedicating my post to THANK YOU FOR 2,000 FOLLOWERS. I have truly enjoyed every single minute of writing and sharing on this platform for the past year and a half. Your lovely comments mean the world to me and I absolutely love chatting and connecting with you all. I can’t even count the amount of times you guys have brought a smile to my face and even tears to my eyes! I’m not being over dramatic either, I love you all so much!

Last year, when I accrued 1,000 followers, I filled out a lengthy questionnaire answering a backlog of Awards and Tags. I thought I’d do the same now that there’s a thousand more of you and I have a bunch backlogged again… sooooo, let’s hop to it!

Norrie at Reading Under the Blankie tagged me in my first ever book tag and I have to admit, I’m scared. The Book Blogger Memory Challenge looks like a toughie. I am to answer the questions below without looking anything up on the internet or on my bookshelves.

  • Name a book written by an author called Michael

Was the man who wrote Blackbird named Michael Fiegel? Or something like that? I think it was!?

  • Name a book with a dragon on the cover

Umm, that blue one called Eragon. I never read it but I remember other kids reading it a lot in grade school.

  • Name a book about a character called George

Umm does Curious George count? Lol… Oh! How about Of Mice and Men!

  • Name a book written by an author with the surname Smith

I don’t think I know of an author with that surname, to be honest.

  • Name a book set in Australia

It wasn’t set in Australia but, Jackie Chan’s parents lived there before they passed and in his memoir Never Grow Up he does talk about the continent a little. πŸ˜›

  • Name a book with the name of a month in the title

One Day in December

  • Name a book with a knife on the cover

I wanna say Strawberry Shortcake Murder by JoAnne Fluke has a knife on the cover. I could be wrong though. Is guessing better than saying ‘I can’t think of one’?

  • Name a book with ‘one’ in the title

One Day in December, am I allowed to use that again? It wasn’t stated in the rules that I couldn’t repeat books… so, don’t mind if I do.

  • Name a book with an eponymous title

A Man Called Ove— I wanted to say Sadie after looking up the word ‘eponymous’ (for the second time) but I didn’t want to copy Norrie’s answer. πŸ˜›

  • Name a book turned into a movie

I could name so many but the most recent one I read and am in the middle of watching the movie of is The Spectacular Now.

Wow! I didn’t do so bad, did I? All book cover photos were added after answering the questions (I pinky promise!).

Kate at Live in the Nautical tagged me in the Unique Blogger Award asking me these three questions!:

  • Coffee or tea?

Man, I love my tea but, if absolutely had to choose… I’d have to go with coffee!

  • Are you a morning or evening person?

Evening, x100.

  • What is something you are excited for?

Meeting Julie and her son this weekend!

I know the fall season is long gone but, that doesn’t mean I can’t answer the 10 Fall Questions Demi at The Lupie Momma tagged me in. πŸ˜‰

  • What is one candle you MUST light every fall?

I like to switch it up but, I do really enjoy the apple pie scent. ❀

Colorful, falling leaves!

  • What is your all-time favorite fall/Halloween movie?

It’s gotta be Hocus Pocus but, I also love Halloweentown.

  • What Halloween costume do you have in mind?

Hmm… it’s awhile away, isn’t it? I doubt I’ll even dress up.

  • What is your favorite fall trend?

Those large blanket-sized scarves!

Hot apple cider

  • What is your go-to fall beauty product? (A must-have staple!)

Probably face moisturizer, like every other season. πŸ˜›

  • Do you prefer apple pie or pumpkin pie?

I actually hate both. I am a pecan pie person… why is that not an option here?

  • Do you have any fall traditions? If so, tell us all about them!

I don’t really have any traditions. We always celebrate Thanksgiving, if that counts?

  • The moment of truth… is fall your favorite season?

Nah, I’m more of a spring/summer gal!

Liz, whose blog has since been deleted, tagged me in a Liebster Award. Thankfully, Cadie at Cadie’s Corner was also tagged by her so I was able to recover the questions and answer them here.

  • What’s your most prized possession?

Well, all of my cats, of course. ❀

  • Do you believe in ghosts? Tell me why or why not.

I do believe in ghosts. I don’t really have an explanation as to why, I just believe in everything. Like, even aliens.

  • Deep dish or thin crust pizza?

Deep dish, deep dish, deep dish!

  • If you could have dinner with any celebrity or public figure, who would it be and why?

Umm… I don’t think I’d want to have dinner with any celebs. I’d have nothing to say.

  • What are your top three places on your travel/bucket list?

Outside of the U.S., I’d love to visit Japan, France, and the Netherlands.

  • Where’s your favorite place in the world?

HOME! I don’t think I’ll ever travel to those three countries ^ because I love being home so much.

  • Are you a dog or cat person?

I’m a crazy cat lady. I’m too lazy to care for a dog.

  • Let’s settle this once and for all: Which is better, McDonald’s or Burger King?

  • What’s your favorite chore and your least favorite chore?

I hate all chores. I refuse to call one my favorite.

Cadie then tagged me in her response and asked me some questions of her own:

  • What is your biggest pet peeve?

I’ve written three posts about my pet peeves. You can find them linked: here, here, and here. πŸ™‚

  • Where did you get your name?

My dad made it up off of his own name, which is ‘Hun.’

Hm, I would hate to have to change my name. I love the uniqueness of it BUT, to answer the question… maybe I’d go with something cutesy like… Maple or Olive.

  • What was your favorite TV show as a kid?

Ooh, I had a lot but I’m gonna go with Arthur. My mom always said I was D.W. and my older sister was Arthur.

I wrote a post about a few of the weird things I do: here and I also wrote about some of my annoying (could be considered “weird”) habits: here.

  • What is your favorite holiday and why?

I love Valentine’s Day. It’s just such a special and pretty holiday.

  • Do your prefer writing it down or typing it up?

It depends on what the context is. I like writing down ‘to-do lists’ but, I like typing up my thoughts.

  • Cable or Netflix?

Netflix… I don’t even know how to get my cable to work on my TV. We can only watch it on the iPad and nothing is ever on besides commercials.

  • If money didn’t matter, what would you do with your life?

Probably nothing besides shop, eat everything I can find, read all the books, watch all the movies and shows, play games, hangout with my cats, boyfriend, family, and travel travel travel.

  • What is your favorite thing about yourself?

Everything? LOL just kidding, just kidding.
I’d saaaaay, my lucious long hair when it’s shiny and soft.

  • Heels or flats?

Definitely flats! I’ve never worn a comfortable pair of heels in my entire life except for my work ones.

  • Would you rather live in an upstairs apartment or a downstairs apartment?

I like ’em all except winter.

Just one! My neck always hurts the next day if I sleep with more than one.

Maybe a monkey?

Cadie at Cadie’s Corner had a few more questions to ask in the Sunshine Blogger Award:

  • How old are you?

By Mes Mots, I was tagged for another Sunshine Blogger Award.

All the ones my partner has. πŸ˜‰

  • In 1 word, what describes your blog?

  • What is you New year’s resolution?

I never made one.

  • Best singer?

Of all time? Christina Aguilera. At the moment, The Weeknd, Demi Lovato, or Halsey.

Laundry and Dishes tagged me in a Mystery Blogger Award with 5 questions:

It’s probably not hard to tell that I chose my blog name in a couple minutes, if not, seconds.

  • What made you decide to start blogging?

I came across one of those 30 Day Blog Challenges and wanted to contiune writing after accomplishing it and meeting so many lovely people in the blogosphere.

  • If you could meet someone famous from the past who would it be?

From the past? As in, they’re dead now? I don’t know. I’m too awkward and unworthy.

  • Aside from your blog what is something you have accomplished that you are proud of?

Moving out of state!

  • If animals could talk, which one do you think would be the most rude?

LOL, love this question. Hmm… I could see cats or monkeys being the rudest.

And lastly, in a recent journal entry, I gave all of you a chance to ask me whatever questions you had. I received these two:

  • Erika wanted to know how I personally grew my amount of followers…

I honestly don’t know but if I had to guess, it’s because I’m pretty consistent about posting every single day and I support my fellow bloggers endlessly.

  • And Jennie wanted to know which country I would most like to visit and why?

Japan, to eat all of their yummy snacks and foods!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you to all of those who tagged me and provided me with these fun questions to answer. ❀ I hope I didn’t bore any of you to death! If you had to skip over some of it, I don’t blame you one bit. I greatly appreciate any amount of your time spent on me!!!

  1. Wowww such a great Q&A, Hunida!! It’s so long and thorough, lol. I love that you only sleep with one pillow because it’s the opposite for me. I feel like the more pillows, the better, hahaha.
Oh I totally agree that “where do you see yourself in x years” is sooo stressful. And it’s honestly ridiculous because anything can happen even in one year haha. Just like it’s dumb when adults expect teenagers to know what they want to do with their lives.
Agreed–bad breath is the absolute worse! Ugh it turns my stomach.
Anywayyy congrats on the 2k, girl! You totally deserve it!! ❀

    1. Ahhh! Sorry it was so long but at least now I can say I am all caught up with my awards & tags, right?! πŸ˜€

I actually think having more than 1 pillow is super comfy but for some reason, it makes my neck ache!! I can only sleep with one fluffy one.

LOL yes, seriously. Anything can happen & things always change so who has time to worry about the future!! It’s so stressful. & YESSS, bad breath is just the worst, isn’t it??

Thank you so much for all your support, Courtney!! ❀ ❀

      1. Yes! I think it was smart to combine them all in one for a Q&A to help your new followers get to know you! And even those of us who have been following you for a while now know new things. πŸ˜‰

Oh I can understand that! I try to always keep the pillow a little under my upper back/shoulders instead of just my neck and that helps it not angle my neck all weird lol.

  2. Congrats! So pleased to see you crossing that annoying barier of almost round numbers! πŸ˜€

When you wrote Christina Aguilera, I instantly remembered her 00’s songs.
I miss the “come on over” and “genie in the bottle” phase! πŸ˜€

  3. Did I miss the call for questions?! Congrats on your followers once again!

I can be a deep dish pizza girl sometimes, but usually I’m a thin crust fan – makes me feel slightly more healthy haha πŸ˜›

I love Burger King more than McDonalds, Burger King is better value for money here in NZ but McDonalds does have better ice cream!

I didn’t realise we were so close in age, I’m only a few months older than you ❀

    1. I didn’t make a separate post calling for questions, I just casually wrote it in one of my journal entries. πŸ˜› I’m sorry you missed it!!

Ah man, I just love the thickness of a deep dish but I can see how you feel healthier eating a thin crust lol! I don’t know why I’ve never been a fan of anything at BK except when they had the chicken fries! I don’t even think I’ve tried the ice cream there.

Oh!! That’s so cool we are that close in age. In what month is your birthday?! πŸ˜€

First off congratulations on 2000! That’s awesome. I hope to get there one day! Secondly always honored to me mentioned 😍 I really enjoyed seeing all these answers! I could see you as an Olive for real. The book challenge was interesting– based all on books you’ve read I assume?

Reminds me of Popeye's lady. πŸ˜€ & yes, I read all of the books in the memory challenge except Eragon! I just remembered that book cover after all these years. I would be super interested in seeing you do it, too (if you wanted to!).

        1. LOL YES, everything revolves around food on vacation. That’s the only point to travel to me!! I always ask my clients “sooo where’d you eat before you came here?” & I gasp so loud when they say they don’t remember or picked up something quick… I’m like “aren’t you on vacation?!” It blows my mind that some people save money by not eating out on vacation/grabbing quick bites because I save money TO eat.

          Liked by 1 person

          1. Yeah that’s no okay that they don’t even remember ?! I mean truly if I was in Vegas it would be intense foodie time! Especially would have to try some of those awesome nomz y’all find 🀀 and yeah 😹 we are the same.. I could never subscribe to that saving money by not eating … I do not get that at allllll! Pretty much the majority of our money goes to eating out and groceries ! I will say I skip on buying new clothes that I need or something to eat out πŸ˜…

    1. Thank you, Rosie! πŸ˜€ All of the pre-prep and the long flights are why I don’t want to travel anywhere out of country, if I’m honest. I don’t even wanna go get that little picture done for my passport… lol. I’m just the worst.

  10. McDonald’s is definitely better than Burger King! Every time I’ve been to BK, it’s like my food was overcooked or something. I get a burger, it’s dry and somewhat hard. I get chicken fries, they’re hard and rubbery.

I would definitely do the same as you if money wasn’t a factor. That is my dream life!

    Liked by 1 person

    1. I totally agree about the BK burgers. They are SO bone dry. ICK. Everything I’ve ever tried from there was a miss… their fries are just terrible. BUT their chicken fries used to be a fave of mine as a kiddo/teen then they took ’em away, brought ’em back & they tasted like trash!!

Hahaha I thought I sounded like a complete bore about what I would do if money wasn’t a factor but, seriously, I wouldn’t wanna do much else!! That’s awesome that we have the same vision for our dream life. πŸ˜€

  14. Omg congrats on 2k girl!! That’s amazing!! I know most of all this info for the most part haha, though I prefer thin crust (I seriously dont know why), patron and pineapple juice sound amazing (I just had 7 shots already at home, lol), I actually prefer MORE pillows one isnt enough, and I’m almost positive I have your bday written down somewhere..
After you did your Myers Briggs post, I did my quiz thingy and I’m an entertainer. I hope I’m not getting that wrong cause it’s been a while since I’ve seen it lol.
My cousin invited me to Vegas for some bachelor party but I’m not down for it cause hanging out with people I’m not familiar with isnt my style though I’d be lying if I said I didn’t want to go just to hangout with you lol. That’s kind of out of context but I’m drunk sorry! Lol
I’d want to go to japan too but that’s no surprise to EVERYONE that knows me because I feel like I mention it constantly lol.
I’m so happy with your growth girl! Keep it up! πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

    1. Thank you, Rossy!!! I love that you knew mostly everything about me already. β™‘ You are such a good friend! It’s crazy that we’ve “known” each other for nearly 2 years now!

Patron & pineapple juice is a really good mix. Tastes sweet but still gets you drunk fast! You are great at typing while drunk, by the way LOL. I wouldn’t even be able to see words if I had 7 shots. πŸ˜‚

Oh! That’s interesting that you’re an Entertainer! Did you find what it said to be pretty accurate about you??

A bachelor party?? Lol would you be the only girl there?! Was Alex invited too? I know what you mean about being with unfamiliar people but ah! You should come anyways!!! πŸ˜„

β™‘β™‘β™‘ again, thank you so much for all of your support, Rossy!!! My blog wouldn’t have grown without you. β™‘β™‘β™‘

      1. No problem! 😁 it is, right? I hope to meet you someday soon!
I wasnt that* drunk but my judgment was a bit cloudy lol. The hangover was not that bad surprisingly.
I did find the test to be quite close to how I actually am, there were a few things where I didn’t feel like it fit me, but who knows, I’ll have to take the test again and see lol.
I meant bachelorette haha it depends because the girls want to leave Friday night or something and be there till Monday. Thing is I can’t stay until Monday because Alex works. And ciel would be all alone at home. And since Alex is the only one that works I wouldn’t want him to have to miss a day if he didn’t want to. And besides, I honestly dont think I’d want to go because I only know my cousin and it’s her friend who’s getting married. Even though I have seen her friend a lot at my cousins house whenever there’s some party, she has never really thrown a “hi” my way so I bet the only reason she wouldn’t mind me coming along is because my cousin asked me. So idk. My cousin has told us so many stories of that girl drinking almost every single weekend and acting stupid and that’s not really my thing anymore. I think I’d be more annoyed there with them hearing them shouting and shit. And also, I’m too paranoid. Not only would I be away from my boys, I’d only know my cousin, all of those bitches are most likely going to drink, including my cousin, so it worries me that well probably lose each other and no one will be sober. Not to mention I’ll be in an entirely different city. Which I’d rather tour with my boys. Lol. I know, I’m boring, but the nightclub scene hasnt been my thing for the longest time. I prefer to have a few drinks with Alex because at least with him I know I’m safe lol. And ok this comment is becoming too long.
Anyway, if I ever go Alex has to come too because I’d love for you to meet my boys. Hopefully we can meet the fuzzy babies too lol.

        Liked by 1 person

        1. Wow, how lucky!! Your immune system is super strong! If I drank 7 shots, I would be obliterated & so sick the next day lol…

Ahhh I totally get what you mean about not wanting to come to Vegas with the party. ALL bachelorette parties are crazy here in Vegas & I wouldn’t wanna be around that either. I’ve never really liked night clubs either! I don’t see the fun in them? Drinking at a bar or at home is more my scene, too. & I get what you mean about feeling more safe with Alex. Especially here, because I’ve heard scary stories about “girls only” Vegas trips. Of course you can meet our fuzzy babies when you visit!! We still really wanna visit Portland one day but can’t stand the thought of leaving them with strangers. 😦

          1. No actually my immune system isnt the best lol. And to be fair it was 7 shots spread throughout the span of a few hours.. I cant remember when I started drinking and when the last shot I took was…
See? You get me! Lol. And I’m glad that you told me that because that’s more confirmation to stay away from Vegas with these girls lmao. I’ll respectfully have to decline. I bet my cousin will try to convince me so I’ll just tell her I dont have money or I’m saving up for another trip. Technically I am so I’m not really lying.
Awwwh yeah you’ve told me before. I wouldn’t leave my pets with strangers either. The only places I could possibly***** trust, and i put loads of asterisks on that word because I’d have to do an extensive amount of research, is boarding schools for pets. Idk if they have one for cats but I know we have them here for dogs. But yeah, even those places can be kind of shady. And you dont have family there so that is even harder for you.

            1. Lol, yes I totally get you & your cousin will have to understand, too! I do hope you’ll visit with your boys someday though. β™‘ Yeah, we have no friends or family here & strangers around my pets just doesn’t sit right with me in any environment. 😭

              1. Well not to worry. Well come visit because I really want to see Vegas for myself. Alex keeps telling me there’s nothing to see and I told him I didn’t care. I just want to sight see and meet you! I dont care to gamble or drink anyway.

                  1. I think it’s because he has already been there a few times and hes not really interested in anything. I swear a few years back he would have never cared to travel and now hes warmed up to the idea. I told him I want to travel more and experience new cities and food at least once a year. And at first he said “we cant afford that” and I said “let me manage the money and you see that we will” and yup. We can. Now we just gotta find the time to do it all lol.
But yeah I’m excited just to see the strip lol.

                    1. Aw yay! That’s awesome he let you manage the money & you’re able to travel now. πŸ˜€ Finding the time is always the hardest part! I hope you can visit soon. I will try to show you/suggest to you all the places that I know you & your boys will enjoy. ❀

                    2. I still have to convince him to travel to many places. Like when I initially told him about San Francisco he wasnt up for it but now hes like yeah let’s go lol.
Yayness!! Cant wait! Might be a year or more from now when I finally do visit Vegas, we just have to go to mexico first but that also has to wait until Alex gets his citizenship lol

  15. Congrats on 2000! That’s amazing. I love large blanket-sized scarves too! I have a few too many.
And I love your honesty about dogs being too much work for you to be a crazy dog lady ;P I’m defo a crazy dog lady but I think cats are brilliant too. They have such attitudes. I admire that πŸ™‚

    1. Thank you, Sarah!! ❀ I need more of those scarves in my life. I don't think you can ever have too many with that kind of versatility. πŸ˜‰ & yes, I love dogs, too!! They're so sweet & adorable but, I know I couldn't be half as active as one would require me to be. You are the best dog mom I've ever came across!
