Friday night after I published my Journal Entry, I got hungry and made a little salad before I did my makeup. It was so dang yummy.
Before I went into work, I was actually NOT wanting to drink but boyfriend wanted one so I gave in to his peer pressure and we had one together at our usual bar. When I checked in, it was a little past midnight. My regular client that brings me all the candy, plushies, the lingerie, and the VS gift card was there waiting for me. This time, he brought me the variety pack of Ferrero (or whatever) chocolates and a plushie. We spent our usual amount of time together and he was his usual self BUT, he mentioned I gained weight… *gasp* how fucking rude, I know.
I told him “that was super mean” and he acted like it was no biggie??? I’m not sure I’ll talk to him anymore if I see him again. I mean, I honestly know I have been packin’ on the lbs lately but… damn, I really feel that’s the worst thing you can say to a girl especially while I’m doing my particular job.
I was a little hurt but, y’know what? His words motivated me to really quit drinking because Saturday night. I did it. I went to work completely sober and I did absolutely fine. 🙂 After a few weeks of no drinking and a little more activity, I will be fit again and that jackass can watch me strut right past him looking better than ever!!
Boyfriend gave his shift up on Saturday. I’m trying to think of a legit reason why but I can’t… you can just say we are irresponsible and there was more than one colleague of his willing to pick up his slack anyway (thankfully!).
We went out to eat at a Thai restaurant we had never been to before. It’s right next door to one that we actually have been to before called, Komol.
Komol is super popular on Yelp and was quite tasty. The interior there was more dingy and less fancy though so, we were intimidated by Arawan’s fancy interior when we walked in.
The host even asked if we had reservations… we were worried when we had to answer “no.” Only one other table was occupied so, I guess, reservations weren’t fully required. Phew!
We took awhile looking through the menu. Not until after we put in our order were we served this small plate of complimentary wonton chips with a spicy sweet chili dipping sauce. It was a nice snack but, very very dainty. It was almost pointless to serve. 😛
For our appetizer, you all know, we can’t pass up the summer rolls when they’re available. We both commented on how beautiful and different the presentation was. They were served with the sweet peanutty fish sauce for dipping. So fresh and yummy… !!
Boyfriend went for the Duck Noodle Soup which had tremendous pieces of duck meat in it but the broth was terribly sweet and weirdly thick. They also used thin egg noodles which aren’t our favorite.
For me, the Shrimp Drunken Noodles… nom nom. No complaints here. ❤
Boyfriend also had a cup of their Thai iced tea. I had the smallest sip and it wasn’t too sweet at all! I could actually taste the tea in it and I was so jealous I couldn’t have one of my own (without upsetting my stomach).
After dinner, we drove-thru at Starbucks for our 4 shots of espresso over ice, stopped at the dispensary (like we always seem to do…), and then when we came home I binge-watched Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce when I should have been blogging. 😛
I had to stop watching my show because I wanted to make it to work sober and early (-er than usual). I was there around 10 PM and I didn’t have an ounce of alcohol throughout my whole shift… boo-yah!!! I had a chill night and left a little past 2:30 AM.
Yesterday was SUSHI SUNDAY! Boyfriend had to work the day shift so he wasn’t home until almost 3:30 PM. I was still snoozin’ when he walked through the door… hehe.
I got showered as quick as I could but, we knew we weren’t going to Sakana with how late it was. There was def going to be a line at that time. So, we drove to their sister restaurant, Sushi Neko.
I somehow forgot my phone at home so, thank you to boyfriend for snapping all the photos for me this day. 😀 I was like “man, this is kind of fun to not have to take the pictures” I would just say, “can you get a pic?” and he would snap a few. He sent them all to me when I got home and I was like “dang, these look just like how I would’ve taken them” 😉 what a guy, huh? I should “forget my phone” more often.
Oh and P.S. we did NOT ask for those filthy straws in our cups, they were put in there by the waitstaff before we even got them. (Say ‘no’ to straws!, right?)
We skipped dessert at the restaurant and headed to Tea of Joy on the way home instead.
I ordered a Green Thai (Almond) Milk Tea and boyfriend got the Mango Black Tea. Mine was marvelous, exactly what I was looking for. The perfect amount of tea flavor and sweetness to cure my sweet tooth. Boyfriend’s tasted just like those spicy mango lollipops after you lick off all the spicy. Or just mango-flavored candy… if you’ve never had one of those specific lollies lol.
When we got home from dinner and dessert, I quickly typed up a Recipe Reviews post before I plopped down for another session of Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce. Why do I like this show? Lol, I have no idea! I just do!
In the middle of the night, we ran out of toilet paper so boyfriend had to run to the store to buy more. I was actually kind of happy because I got him to get me some ham and onions, too. 😀 I was really craving that salad I had Friday night again but ran out of those two items.
As his reward, I made him one, too. 😉 (The toppings consist of raw cashews, pine nuts, salad topper mix, croutons, ham, chicken, onions, wonton strips, and Organic Valley’s French dressing. Mm, mm.)
We went to bed around 3 AM. I found 3 recipes to buy ingredients for before falling asleep.
I woke up at noon and read a couple blog posts on my Reader but mostly, pages of Sweatpea until boyfriend finally woke up at nearly 3 PM. I took a shower then we smoked a blunt, I wrote the groceries list, and off to Smith’s we went.
We stopped at the dispensary (yet again) before we went shopping. I tried not to buy as many snacks as I usually do because well, for one: trying to lose this weight, and for two: have a ton of snacks from the last couple trips I haven’t ate up yet. I did better than usual but could have maybe left a couple items out of the cart…
I wish I could’ve caught a better photo but, on the way home, the mountains looked like their peaks were lit up. It was magical.
When we got home, I was excited to feed our kiddos (3 kitty cats) these new amazing treats I found.
I scope the aisle for cat treats every time we go shopping but never find anything of interest until I saw these filets! They must be brand new to the Fancy Feast line. The best thing is, the first ingredient is the real actual meat and there are only two other ingredients included in each pack. The directions say you can feed these whole, flaked up, or as a topper over dry food. We tried to cut them into three big chunks but, they all were just licking at them so I had to cut it up for them while they were eating lol it was soooo cute. ❤ They looooved the tuna and I just cannot wait to feed them the chicken and salmon.
We then smoked a blunt and as always, I destroyed all the kitchen newcomers. 😀 We have been getting shrimp to dip with cocktail sauce (infused with extra horseradish) a lot lately… it’s just so DANG delish.
I was watching Girlfriends’ Guide until dinner was ready, ate, finished the episode and then hopped onto here.
I think I’m going to stop doing those end-of-the-month ICYMI posts. They’re boring. I can’t wait for the month to be over (because sub boxes!!). January has been quite the long one, hasn’t it?
Goodnight my dears!! Hope you all have a lovely week. ❤
