Hi guys! I am sooo sad I wasn’t able to write last night. I was busy busy busy.

On Tuesday, boyfriend and I both had the day off. I honestly can’t remember much of what we did. We had dinner at home, I played around with some makeup, wrote up some blogs, and played the Sims all day. Oh, and I burnt some brownies… they still tasted alright at first though.

I was extremely bummed out because I only got to eat one. When I went back for another, they were already hard as a rock??

Yesterday, I had a huge stomachache when I woke up so I was on bed rest until like 4 PM lol. I finally took a shower, got ready to go, and we headed to the Galleria mall in Henderson to buy my mascara from Sephora and use my gift card at Victoria’s Secret.

I was sooo lucky that there was ONE mascara left in their drawer. It wasn’t on display because the plastic peeling was a little scuffed but, that didn’t bother me none. I was more than happy to get it off their hands.

At Vicky’s, the semi-annual sale was going on (it seems like it always is to me?), so I easily found a bra and panty set in my size for “cheap”. WELL, actually. I found the bra and boyfriend found the perfectly matching panties. πŸ™‚

The checkout line was absolutely riiiidiculous though!! It was so long and there were these two teenage girls with their mom, all three of them were testing out and touching every single thing that they walked past while in line. They weren’t even setting the items back down properly either, just chucking them back on the shelf like nothing. It was seriously giving me a headache and making me SO damn angry.

LOL I don’t know if I would have been as mad if we went to eat first but, oh my gosh, I was fuming at the time.

When we finally paid for my set, we left the mall to go to Chipotle across the street. We hadn’t been to this certain location before but, I was a huge fan. They cut their steak into bigger chunks and it was so juicy.

I know I always say it, but something about Chipotle just always hits the spot!!

We, then, went through a nearby Starbucks drive thru for our shots of espresso. When we got home, I needed to hurry and get my old nail polish off and to paint them a new color. There was no way I was going in with the mess I had on.

I finished watching all the episodes of Star Season 03! I thought there were 10 episodes but, there was only 9! I can’t believe how the last episode went down. Wowza!

A couple days ago, I included the novel YOU by Caroline Kepnes in my Top 10 Books of 2018 list; Jennie had commented, letting me know the series was complete and streaming on Netflix now. I tried giving it a watch when Star ended but, honestly. I wasn’t a fan. It felt like I was listening to the audio book of a book I already read and knew the outcome of. I love Penn Badgley… I mean, what a stud, right? And the girl they chose for Peach. ❀ Love her, too. I just hate when shows have so much voice over. I turned it off halfway through the first epi. and then, I tried to watch Glow. It gave me a couple laughs but, it’s not a show I have a desire to keep watching.

I finally finished my nails at nearly 11 PM and got my makeup done quickly. We smoked a blunt then, I headed off to work. I got there around midnight and we didn’t even stop for a drink first!

There were a ton of customers when I walked in! I was so overwhelmed and super nervous but, after I snagged my first dance of the night and finished up with it… I came back downstairs to the main floor and the whole place was cleared out?! There was no one worth talking to and it was already a bit past 2 AM. I sat down and watched the crowd for a few minutes before deciding to call it a night. It was all of a sudden completely deeeead. I got home a little after 3 AM– I am proud of myself for declining two drinks and staying sober all night… it sure was boring though!!! LOL.

Today, boyfriend woke up around noon. I slept in all the way until 3 PM! I got up and showered right away. I did some chores around the house while boyfriend went to the dispensary and the water mill. When he got home, we heated up some leftovers for dinner so they wouldn’t go bad before we had a chance to eat them.

I also tried this salad that had the best toppings and dressing but, ONLY arugula– which was just too much bitterness for me. I like arugula MIXED with other greens but, jeez… all on its own was something I couldn’t handle.

I feel like an ass for throwing it in the trash but, I did.

At least there was other food for me to eat… πŸ˜› While I ate, I started watching the show… Killing Eve? I think it was called, on Hulu. I’m only halfway through the first episode but, I think I’m gonna go back to this one. We’ll see how I feel next time I watch TV.

When we finished eating, we drove to Starbucks for our espressos. When we got home, I checked my notifications on here and started typing this up. πŸ™‚ I’ll be posting some makeup looks tomorrow!! Can’t wait to show you guys what I came up with!!

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!!

    1. Thank you! I love to wear red on my nails. πŸ™‚ & seriously, they do! The teenagers were that way because their mom was the exact same. It was a pain to watch.

I hope you have you a great weekend as well, Chanelle! ❀

    1. I thought the first episode was pretty funny but, I’m not that interested in watching more! Now I know it’s not worth it to be disappointed by the second season!

  1. Brownies are so tricky to make! I always try to take them out just under the time because they still somewhat bake if they’re still in the pan after getting them out! I like mine super soft and chewy so that may be a reason why, haha.

My friend has been trying to get me to watch You, but I’m weird with shows and I only like starting them if I can binge watch because I get impatient! I haven’t heard of Glow, though. I’ll have to look into it.

    1. Oh my gosh, I didn’t know what to do. I knew they were burning on the outside but when I stuck a toothpick in, it was coming out suuuuper goopy still!! LOL I will try your trick next time!!

I am sure You will have a second season since there is a second book! I know what you mean about being weird and impatient with shows lol I’m sorta the same way!! Glow was weird and fun but not that interesting to me. πŸ˜›

      1. Good luck! Although, I’ve never made my brownies in a muffin pan, just in casserole dishes so my brownie logic may be a little skewed!

I’ll look into them both and maybe watch! Although, I may decide to read You, I’ve seen it advertised; I may have it, but I’ll have to see! Haha. Have a wonderful day! πŸ™‚

        1. Haha I had never made them in a muffin pan either & the instructions didn’t include one either. πŸ˜› Hope you enjoy the story of YOU either way you decide to go. Have a wonderful day too, Stephanie! β™‘

  2. I’m glad you got at least one brownie before they turned into rocks. 😦 That is so rude when people just chuck the merchandise down all willy-nilly like that! Don’t they know some poor worker who has been standing on their feet all day has to put all that crap back at the end of the day? They’re probably related to the people that have been chopping down the Joshua Trees in Joshua Tree National Park because they’re in the way of the illegal offroading they want to do while the government is shut down. I’m sorry, but arugula should never be on it’s own. It definitely needs some other lettuce to balance it out. I like a few arugulas on a sandwich or a burger but not a pile of it for a salad. You don’t see Chipotle filling our burrito bowls with arugula, do you? No. There’s a reason for that.

    1. I knooow!! I was so sad lol, I usually can leave cookies out for much longer before packing them away. Are brownies always this way?!

Yeah, seriously. That family was so rude. Cannot believe the way they just threw everything back on the shelves like that! I haven’t heard about these goofies cutting down trees but, wow. That’s horrible. Some people are just idiots!!!

LOL I am glad you agree with me about the arugula. Luckily, I removed some of it before mixing in the dressing because I could tell right away it was already too much. We’ve been using the arugula to top our Chick’n Patties. πŸ˜‰

  3. Yaaassss! I adore Penn… Gossip Girl all the way. And Shay Mitchell, Peach, (I’m a huge Pretty Little Liars fan) what a bitch, but a hottie. I binged watched The Whole series last Sunday… no shame here. I didn’t realise the series was a book… I actually thoroughly enjoyed the voice over, although if I had started reading it before hand, then I would if stuck with the book. I’m intrigued to hear what you make of it.
That’s so rude of the people in VS handling everything and chucking it back. Some people have no manners!

    Xxx

    1. I didn’t finish the Gossip Girl nor the Pretty Little Liars series but I watched both enough to grow a liking towards Penn & Shay! They are both so darn attractive. Lol yes, poor bitchy Peach… I read both the first and second book earlier last year knowing it was going to become a TV series. I thought I’d like watching it but, it just sounds like I’m listening to the exact same thing again? Does the voice over continue that way throughout all of the episodes? What does the ending end with? I don’t wanna talk about anything that could ruin the next season for you lol!

Yeah seriously!! They were using products that weren’t even ‘testers’ and then just THROWING them back on the shelves, knocking other product over and stuff. Oh man, if I was their mother…. LOL.

      1. What rude ass people! Haha! It’s terrible!

Oh, girl it was juicy. Firstly RIP Peach.
Beck finds the loose panel in the ceiling and finds Joe’s box of secrets. He knocks her out, locks her in the glass room in the bookstore basement, she tricks him and escapes, and then he murders her. The therepist is arrested and framed for the lot! A book is released by Beck from her publisher, and that damn Candice strolls into the bookshop… What the F?!
It was incredible. I finished the series at 230am, with my alarm set for 6.30am for work .. it just had to be done!

Yes the voice over is through out each episode. Joe was mental, but grew to be quite fond of him, in a creepy kind of way

        1. Okay okay lol yeah wow, it’s exactly like the book. I love that!! I was also on Joe’s side the whole time I read it– I actually grew to love him, I was sooo mad at Beck for being nosy but, I felt kinda sad when he killed Peach lol.

I wonder if there’ll be a next season. Joe’s next adventures are fun too lol.

  4. Oh no, that’s awful that the brownies were hard. I would be so disappointed. I don’t eat a lot of sweets, but I love brownies. They’re my fav!

I haven’t watched YOU yet, so I don’t know what I’ll think of it. I have a plan to check it out eventually though.

I’ve never tried arugula, but I want to. I did hear it has a strong flavor, so I think that’s why I’m so curious about it. I almost ordered pizza with it on before, but I chickened out and was afraid I wouldn’t like it.

    1. I was!! I couldn’t believe how fast they went hard? Like was I supposed to put them all in a cookie jar or something right away? LOL

YOU has a beautiful cast but, I’m really not into any shows that have so much voice over. πŸ˜› I feel like they should find a way to adapt the book without using words straight from it. If that makes sense?

Arugula on pizza is good!! There is so many other flavors that it would mask the super strong bitterness enough yet still let it pop a little.

  5. Lol- I’m cracking up at your β€œthey still tasted alright at first” . And ohhh my goodness- I feel like VS is always having their semi-annual sale too! Glad you had some good finds there. I got my birthday coupon and am excited to use it soon! Oh, and I am with you on the frustration with retail etiquette- come on people!!! Oohh I loved Killing Eve. I hardcore binged that. Have a great Sunday, girl!

    1. LOL well I mean, I still ate a whole one so they weren’t the worst, y’know?! πŸ˜€ I am glad I’m not the only one who noticed that VS is always having their sale… isn’t it supposed to only be once a year?? & is your birthday coupon for VS? If so, you gotta get there before the sale ends!! LOL OK, good. I thought I was being dramatic with my anger towards them but gosh, they were so inconsiderate!!!

I only watched the first half of the first episode of Killing Eve but I really did enjoy it, I think I will go back to it now that I know you’ve binge watched it. πŸ˜€ ❀

  6. Uff, sorry to hear about the rock-brownies 😦 I don’t bake often, so not sure what happened there. I know my grandma used to make these honey cookies (kinda like gingerbread) for xmas that were always hard, and she put them in a tin and left them for a week and then they were edible again.

I still haven’t read You, and refusre to watch the series, but Netflix keep playing the trailer, even tho nobody asked them to πŸ˜€ It’s kinda creepy, that dude just talking.

    Liked by 1 person

    1. Whaat?! That’s interesting that the cookies would become edible again after being put into a tin. I wonder if the same would have happened with my brownies!

Listening to him talk was like listening to an audiobook of YOU. I’m not that big on audiobooks so it bored me! Loved the book though πŸ˜€

  7. I’ve had that happen with brownies and cookies before, and it’s such a bummer! I even had it with rolls once that I made…they were soft and pillowy the day I baked them, and the next day they were hard, dry, and crumbly. Ugh, baking is always interesting lol.
You always make me crave Chipotle, lol. It literally always sounds amazing and you’re right, it ALWAYS hits the spot haha.

    1. Okay, the next day would make much more sense but, seriously, we had them out JUST to cool down. The first one I ate was super hot so I went back when I thought they’d be ready to eat but, they were already hard?! Lol it was from a bag so I blame the brand. πŸ˜› I am obsessed with Chipotle, I think. I could eat it again right now!

  8. OH and “You” looks so creepy!! It’s weird that it’s literally about a stalker. I’ve heard a lot of people are enjoying binging it, but I don’t really want to watch something about a stalker lol.

    1. LOL yeah it’s really quite creepy but he’s made to be “lovable”, if you are not into the dark & gorey stuff though; it’s probably not for you. It’s just the cast is dang attractive and it’s all over the media and Netflix plays the trailer all the time. Of course people are watching it, y’know?!

  9. I need to try making brownies. I’ve always wanted and never have lol.
And that sucks about those girls at the store, I’d be kinda annoyed at that too tbh, yes that’s peoples jobs to make the place look neat but if you can help it, fix it.
And yass to chipotle. Always a good place to go too.

    1. These were just from a bag mix lol only added oil, an egg, and some water myself πŸ˜€ next time, I’ll just buy the mini brownie bites in a bag though hahaha.

Girl yeah and it was the most annoying because their mom was the same way… so like, they were raised to be so rude like that and no one was going to yell at them, y’know?! & Yess, seriously. Chipotle always sounds good to me lol.

  10. Oh and about that show based on the book you’ve read, sucks the show was not what you hoped for. I’ll look into it since it’s on Netflix but if I remember correctly I liked the sound of the book.

  11. Catching up on your blog slowly but surely! πŸ™‚ Haha, it was meant to be for you to get that mascara! And yikes, I’d be so mad at those girls too for throwing things back. How rude! Glad you and your shopping assistant/boyfriend found a matching bra and panties set though. I agree, it always feels like they have that sale! Maybe each lasts six months and that’s why it’s semi-annual LOL!

    1. Aww! You’re the best, Pamela! I’m so happy you made it home safely!! ❀ ❀ those girls were getting on my nerves so badly lol. It still makes me mad to think about the way they were handling everything. πŸ˜› LOL "shopping assistant/boyfriend" I won't tell him you said that because he hates shopping but, honestly… he is actually good at it… hehe. πŸ˜‰ But yeah what the heck?? Semi-annual?? It's always going on, isn't it?!
