  1. What, how out of these 56 books have I not read any of them? Hahaa… this is a really fun recap though, I might have to steal your idea next year (credit of course) ;). I still need to read Fatal Thrones, I have not forgotten about it I just need to get round to purchasing!! Is YOU by any chance what this new Netflix series is based on or am I off the mark here? I will definitely have to check out the Bookseller, if it was number one of your year! Thanks for sharing Hunida x

    1. It wasn’t my idea, babes!! πŸ˜‰ I had seen it like a thousand times when the year ended so I had to jump on the bandwagon. Had no idea who was the first to come up with it. I’m looking forward to seeing your recap next year though!! πŸ™‚

Yesss, Fatal Thrones was so good!! & I heard that YOU was going to become a series! If it has the guy from Gossip Girls (Dan… Penn Badgley) in it, then it’s the one!! I had no idea it was on Netflix now though. Thank you for letting me know! Must watch it!!

Seriously, I recommend all of these books. It was so hard to put them in order!! Hope you enjoy any that you end up reading!! ❀

      1. Haha okay, but you’ve inspired me! I’m looking forward to writing it (please remind me)!
I really need to watch Fatal Thrones, might see if I can watch it now online!
YES that is the You we are both referring to, Hunida, please WATCH. There’s 10 episodes I watched them in 3 days with my Mum, it’s addictive! Yeah it’s on Netflix so please let me know what you think…
Thank you hun, I want to read some so we can talk about them aha

        1. Hahah okay I will try my best to when the year comes to an end again! I tried watching YOU but I couldn’t watch it with all the voiceover. I already know what’s to come and it’s all too fresh in my mind so it was hard for me to watch!

Definitely! Let me know if you end up reading any of these books. πŸ™‚ Would love to chat!!! Are you on Goodreads?

            1. Are you going to watch the YOU series?! A lot of people are loving it! & I love Goodreads for finding books to read! I was just wondering so I could keep up with what you’re reading. πŸ˜‰

  2. I love this idea! I also appreciate how you divided all the books you read into categories, I do that on Goodreads πŸ˜› I’ve got You on reserve at work so when it’s returned I’m next in line. I figured since I don’t have Netflix and can’t watch the series, I’ll read it!

    1. I saw a ton of other book bloggers do this! It was fun dividing them up into genres, I wish I had thought to do that on Goodreads before I made a mess of my TBR, lol.

YOU was such a good read! I hope you love it. πŸ˜€

  3. I was just shy of my goal of 50 so I feel your pain. The only book in your Top Ten that I read last year was You. I liked it a lot and the TV series is pretty good, too. Somehow I missed a couple episodes so I need to start over and watch it straight through. The guy that plays the guy is spot on. Have you seen it?

    1. You was such a good read. Did you read Hidden Bodies yet? I love that actor they chose for Joe and I agree, he’s perfect. I gave the first episode a watch last night… not sure I’ll continue though.

  4. Ooh great idea to do a post about all the books you read in 2018, Hunida!! I love how you picked your top 10 and also categorized them all by genre. This definitely gave me a few ideas for books I want to read this year! Especially “The Bookseller.” Thanks for sharing!

    1. Thank you!! πŸ™‚ It wasn’t really my idea though. I saw a lot of other book bloggers do it so I had to do one, too lol.

Hope you like the books if you do end up reading any on this list!! πŸ™‚

  5. 56!!!!wow. I read 71 books in 2016 and that’s the most I’ve ever managed to read in a year. This year I only managed a sad number of 25 but it makes me want to try and outdo myself! Out of the 10 books you mentioned, I only have read one myself: You. Did you watch the show? If so, how did you like it? Are you planning on reading the second book in the series?

    1. 71 books is amazing, girl!! That definitely makes up for the past two years. πŸ˜‰ 25 is good, too! That’s more than a lot of other folks can say! I want to try to outdo myself, as well.

I actually just watched the first episode of You last night. Not sure I’m a fan! & I did read the second book, not too long after I finished the first. I liked it a lot. πŸ™‚

  6. I can’t even tell you how excited I am you posted this!!! I am compiling my list of books for the year now, so I bookmarked this to refer to. Also, I saw your comment above, and I’d encourage you to give You another chance! I didn’t like the first two or so episodes, but it got so so sooo goood. I loved watching it play out compared to the book! Thanks for sharing this, Hunida!! xo

    1. Aw yay πŸ™‚ I hope you’re able to find some books that interest you on this list! I don’t think I’ll watch YOU just because I don’t like anything with a ton of voiceover, y’know? πŸ˜›

  7. You did really good! I would love to read 52 books in one year for my bucket list but I may have to wait on that I’m far too busy at the moment and I don’t have a huge list of books I want to read so I’m very picky lol.
