Influenster VoxBox | Sleigh All Day

Hi, friends!! I couldn’t believe that Influenster was sending me another box after I totally ignored their e-mails and campaigns for the last one I received (Staycation) but, I am so so so happy that they did.

I was thinking about quitting this program altogether but, the products I received in this box have got me back on a reviewing rampage to make sure I get the next great one.

All products below were sent to me, complimentary of Influenster, for reviewing purposes.

Be prepared because you are not going to believe your eyes as I unbox this!

I loved their little play-on-words for the theme of the box and I really appreciate that they always include the products and info on the postcard.

What Was In My Box?!

Bioeffect
EGF Serum

Influenster’s Description:

A powerful age-defying serum that visibly minimizes fine lines and wrinkles, rejuvenates the skin’s complexion, and restores its youthful radiance, as well as delivering hydration.

My First Impression: I’ve never found a face serum that worked for me. They all make my skin too oily and I’m not a fan of that feeling so, this was the product I was least excited about. I can’t believe it costs $160 for the full-size, though. I’m gonna have to give this one a shot.

Full-Size Retail Value: $160 (15mL)

Kaja
Cheeky Stamp Blush in 01 Coy Serein

Influenster’s Description:

Kaja’s innovative Cheeky Stamp blushes include a heart shaped sponge + cushion formula for perfectly precise application and a buildable, multi-dimensional flush. The foolproof heart shaped applicator fits in the apple of the cheek, providing the perfect amount of product for a covetable flush.

My First Impression: I have been DYING to try anything by Kaja ever since the line dropped at Sephora but gosh, this blush is just too cute to even use! I don’t know if I want to! It also seems like a lot of work to apply.

Retail Value: $24

Aveda
Cherry Almond Softening Shampoo & Conditioner

Influenster’s Description:

Aveda’s New Cherry Almond Shampoo and Conditioner leave your hair touchably soft, shiny and full of weightless bounce. Its sweet aroma is 100% naturally derived from plants, non-petroleum minerals or water.

My First Impressions: Ah, I know I’ve said that I’d no longer be using hair products I receive but, I’ve only heard amazing things about the Aveda brand so I’m willing to give this shampoo a try. I do not do conditioner at all anymore though.

I like the subtle Cherry Almond scent– it’s nice but, there’s a bit of a lotion-y smell I’m not too fond of (sniffing from the bottle).

Full-Size Retail Value: $18 for both or $9 each

Tatcha
Camellia Goldspun Lip Balm

Influenster’s Description:

An intensely hydrating lip balm rich in camellia oil that absorbs quickly, leaving lips soft and touchable with a shimmery hint of 23-karat gold.

My First Impressions: Okay, this is the only product I’ve given a try. I have heard so many wonderful things about Tatcha from plenty of beauty bloggers and I was too excited to get my hands on one of their products.

I was sad to put my finger in it and leave prints… I mean, look how beautiful it is!!! The packaging was out of this world, too. I keep tucking the little tub back in after every use. SADLY, after a week… I don’t think this is doing much for my lips! They seem to be getting a bit drier, if I’m being honest.

Retail Value: $30

Have you ever tried anything from the brands above? I’m interested to hear your experiences with them!

  2. Oh my gosh, this box looks amazing! I wish I had gotten this one! I just got a VoxBox too, but I’m not planning on blogging about that one because it’s just one product. It’s a hair conditioner, and it smells amazing, but that’s really my only thoughts about it. lol

    1. I know!! I couldn’t believe they sent it to me after I didn’t do anything for the last box I got. πŸ˜› I felt kind of guilty actually lol.

What was the brand of the conditioner you got? I still think it would make a fun/interesting blog post. πŸ™‚ Lots of people don’t get anything at all from Influenster & are interested to see what others do get!!

      1. It’s Loreal Paris. If you remember, one of the other VoxBox’s I got was a conditioning hair mask (used once a week) from Loreal’s Elvive line. Well this is another conditioner from that same line, except it’s a daily conditioner (for dry hair). I haven’t really noticed any difference in my hair, but that could be because I was already using a professional brand of conditioner (as opposed to drug store/store bought brand). Like I said though, the smell is amazing! It leaves my hair smelling amazing all day long, which my other conditioner doesn’t really do.

    1. Just keep doing your snap surveys & reviews here & there!! You should get your first VoxBox in no time. πŸ™‚ I am sad about the Tatcha balm but I’m gonna keep trying it. I want it to work for me lol. & Seriously, that serum is ridiculous. I don’t see why anyone would pay that much just for a serum??

  3. Hello! I’m new to your blog and love it so far! I love getting Influenster boxes and I’m totally on the same page as you. I got a lot of good boxes for awhile and then got a few ‘ehh’ ones but they always get me back with better boxes! This one looks amazing! Enjoy trying out all your new goodies πŸ™‚

    1. Hi Emily!! I am so happy to hear you love my blog. πŸ˜€ ❀

I was feeling a bit let down by Influenster. I hadn't really gotten anything that great until this box! I was totally blown away!

  4. The Tatcha lip balm look so gorgeous, but no bueno that it’s possibly making your lips drier! I wonder if it would be better for summer time when your lips don’t need as much hydration? I feel like cold, dry air has me slathering on body butters for my skin and coco butter vaseline on my lips!

  5. Ahh there’s the heart stamp blush!! πŸ™‚ It really is too cute, and I agree, it seems like a lot of work to apply. Also, you don’t use conditioner? How is your hair okay without it? Mine always feels so brittle without conditioner!

    1. I know!! I don’t even wanna take the seal off the color pad haha. πŸ˜› My hair hates conditioner. It gets so greasy. I don’t know, after I shampoo, my hair is pretty darn soft so I just don’t believe in conditioner anymore lol.

      1. Ohh that’s really interesting that your hair gets greasy with conditioner! Hey as long as your hair feels nice and soft with shampoo alone, that’s all that matters lol. How often do you wash your hair? My hairstylist has said people should only wash their hair like once a week but mine gets so greasy I have to wash it every other day. -_-

        1. I shower everyday but, I only shampoo like once a week or once every other week. I heard you’re not even supposed to get your hair wet every single day but I can’t skip a shower & I hate showering with my hair up. πŸ˜› Maybe you should try washing your hair without conditioner?? Try using the conditioner only once a week or less for a little while and see how it goes!

          1. Wow!! I couldn’t imagine being able to go that long without shampooing my hair but that sounds amazing, haha. My hair is such a hassle whenever I wash it lol so it would save me a lot of time for sure. XD I’ve heard overall it’s bad for your skin to shower everyday anyway but we all know that most of us would rather moisturize a lot than skip a shower haha. πŸ˜‰ I should try easing up on the conditioner to see if that helps. I also want to get something I recently saw called a shampoo brush that’s supposed to do wonders for your scalp lol.

            1. I know, my skin is super dry all the time because I take hot showers everyday… sometimes twice. I just love a shower… feels so dang good lol I can’t help myself.

I’ve never heard of this shampoo brush though. Must look it up now! LOL

              1. I agree, hot showers just feel so good! I’ve heard people say to avoid taking hot baths during the cold weather too and all I can think is that’s exactly when I want them the most lol.

I know right?! I just saw it yesterday! They are cheap on Amazon so I figure I’ll try one to see if it helps my dry scalp. πŸ™‚

  6. ok this box is pretty freaking amazing!! all the products look so cute ! i can’t believe they actually have Tatcha on their boxes, I didn’t think they would ever do that because it’s a pretty expensive brand but happy to see that they do! too bad it made your lips pretty dry! that’s never a good thing to see in lip balms, the packaging looks super cute though! great box love!!

    1. I know!! I was so impressed that they included both Tatcha & Kaja!! They are both such cute brands that I’ve been wanting to try. Maybe my lips are just extra dry because of the cold. I’m gonna try the lip balm when the weather warms up again & see how it goes?

      1. i know my lips are hella dry at the moment, i’ve been trying to drink more water than i normally do but it’s just too cold! 😦 even my skin is dry! 😦
yeah definitely keep it and try it again when it’s warmer, some products perform better depending on the weather and climate πŸ™‚ i have products i can never wear on the summer and some i can’t wear during the winter, it’s nice because it almost forces you to change up your routine or skincare regimen the same way you’d change foundation shades in the summer and winter πŸ™‚

        1. If I drink any more water than I already do, I’ll explode!! Lol the wind & cold are just drying me out like crazy. 😦 I do hope the lip balm will work better in the summer!! It would be such a shame to throw such a beautiful product away!! How interesting that some things work during the summer but, don’t during the winter & vice versa.

I actually don’t change my foundation shade in the summer LOL. I probably should though. I do get way too tan for my usual one. πŸ˜›

          1. I know right? but I guess the weather does make a difference on weather a product wil work or not.
now that you mention it, i don’t have a summer shade either.. i’ve been relying on my bronzers to get away with it or I don’t wear makeup at all, it sometimes feels like it’s going to melt off my face LOL
