Liebster Award #5

Hi, everyone! Happy Thanksgiving (if you celebrate it)! ❤

Today, I want to give thanks to the lovely Becky at Strikeouts + Sprinkles for nominating me for my FIFTH Liebster Award!!

Here’s how these things go…

  1. Acknowledge the blog that gave it to you and display the award
  2. Answer 11 questions that the blogger gives you
  3. Give 11 random facts about yourself
  4. Nominate 11 blogs and notify them of their nomination
  5. Give these blogs 11 questions to answer

Becky’s Questions

  • What are the best and worst purchases you’ve ever made?

Lol, man. I’ve made a lot of bad purchases but, I think the worst one I’ve ever made was my moped. I am not even tall enough to drive it properly… and someone recently just stole the license plate off it!

The best one I’ve ever made was on my apartment, if that counts?

  • Who is the messiest person you know?

Me, hands down.

  • What are your thoughts on mascots?

I’ve never thought about them before, to be honest. They’re cool, I guess!

  • What’s the most useless talent you have?

I don’t think any talents are useless! At the very least, they would be able to impress someone else.

  • What was the last photo you took?

My dessert plate at the buffet earlier, hehe. 🙂

  • What song always gets stuck in your head?

Okay, I have no idea why but, I ALWAYS burst out singing “I’m so addicted to all the things you do / when you go down on me / in between the sheets!!!” I never even listen to that song but, I sing those lines more than once every single day. I am not even exaggerating!!

I didn’t even know what it was called or who sang it. I just asked boyfriend “what’s that song I always sing called again?” LOL, it’s Addicted by Saving Abel.

  • What’s your cure for hiccups?

I hold my breath until it feels like I will pass out and usually when I breathe again, the hiccups are gone. If not, I try again and again until they are.

  • What movie quotes do you use on a regular basis?

So, I’m pretty bad at remembering movie quotes but you will quite often catch me saying, “Dude, you got a disease!” from School of Rock (when Dewey asks the kids what a “hangover” is), in my best British accent, I say “I didn’t do it on purpose” from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (when the bus shows up outta nowhere and knocks Harry down), and “I never knew my faaather!” from Finding Nemo (when the shark shouts it), hahaha. I don’t know why but, those 3 quotes have stuck with me forever– the words and the way they were said, too.

  • What’s something that you’ve done that you’re proud of?

I explored New York all by myself earlier this year! I didn’t think I could do it on my own but, I survived!

  • Is there a show you used to watch and stopped watching and want to start again?

Yeah, there are probably quite a few but, the one I can think of off the top of my head is Nashville.

  • What’s your worst example of procrastination?

In High School, I completed Mythology 2nd Trimester of my senior year with an F. During the second to last week in the 3rd Trimester, I returned one of the teacher’s books and my paper that had already been written. It was just missing the bibliography and it actually still was when I finally turned it in… I was just lucky that the teacher was nice enough to accept it and bump my grade up even though the class had ended the whole trimester before. I probably wouldn’t have my diploma if he hadn’t done that for me.

11 Random Facts About Me

Ah, I’m going to try my absolute best to tell you all new ones but, I can’t promise that I haven’t already mentioned some of these things about myself before.

  • I got my first cell phone on my birthday after 6th grade. It was a white and purple Nokia slide phone.

  • I used to love playing online doll games like Diva Starz, MyScene, Barbie, and Polly Pocket.

  • My favorite store for dressy clothes is Francesca’s and for casual clothes I like Rue 21 and Rainbow.

  • I prefer Walmart’s products over Target’s but, I feel like the shopping experience at Target is just 10x more peaceful.

  • I’ve owned every PlayStation console since the first one to the third one. The fourth one, that’s out now, is the only one I’ve never had.

  • I used to cheat by looking at the shoes during “Heads Up, 7 Up” every single time.

  • I’m one of those idiots who needs to have a list of passwords and usernames to all the different sites. I have them written down in a notebook and in a saved draft in my e-mail account, too.

  • One time, I tried to dye some of my hair blue but, of course, it just turned a very light brown… lol.

  • I am the worst at wrapping gifts but, I still really enjoy it!

  • I am a huge sucker for cheesy Christmas films. ❤

  • I have two tattoos and I have decided I will never get another one… I can’t stand the pain, lol.

I Nominate…

  1. Hahahaha we have the exact same cure for hiccups. I keep singing this song that Haley Scott sings in One Tree Hill, even though I only watched three seasons of that show almost 10 years ago. I’m the queen of quoting movies and tv shows and me and one my trainers at work are always doing it back and forth as a joke. I’ll ask something like “how long ago was that?” and she’ll go “it’s been 84 years”, quote the old lady from the Titanic. Crazy people 😂 lovely post ❤️

    1. Aww, do you know which one?!? I remember when Haley sang in the beginning of the series. ❤ That's my absolute fave show!! ❤

Hahahah! That's so funny! I wish I could quote movies so easily like that!

Thanks for reading and commenting, Cheila!! ❤

  2. Ah man, it’s so cool you went on that trip by yourself! I keep telling myself i should try travelling alone, but i never had the guts 😀

I can also never stop hiccups 😀

    Thanks for the tag! ❤

    1. It was definitely scary and I enjoyed myself a lot but, I honestly don’t think I will ever go somewhere alone again lol. 😛 The hiccups are so annoying, aren’t they??

Looking forward to reading your answers if you choose to participate, Norrie. 🙂

  3. Oh my God girl i love your tattoo 😍😍😍 need that!!! Such a special and good quote. Yes to the school of rock and harry potter phrases I love those haha, and omg you look so cute on that moped!!!!
It’s so exciting that you explored NY all by yourself! Honestly amazing girl! I would love to do something like that one day, a solo trip! Congrats! Xxx

    1. Thank you, Jennie!!! ❤ I'm sooo happy that you like my tattoo and that you know the the exact movie quotes I'm talking about!!! ❤ 😀

Lol I hate that darn moped but it is cute!!! NY was crazy big and scary but, I got to do and see a lot! But to be honest, I think having at least one good companion when traveling is much better. I cried like all the nights except the last because I couldn't sleep without boyfriend lol. 😛

  4. Oh my gosh, that moped, haha! I lowkey always wanted one because they seem so easy to drive and more convenient than biking around but I couldn’t be bothered to look into the license for it because of all the people I asked about mopeds, half said I needed a motorcycle license and another half said I didn’t need any other license.

Congrats on your 5th Liebster Award and thanks for the tag! I’ll do this soon 🙂

    1. Hahaha, I really thought the moped would be WAY easier to drive. 😛 I just wanted it for short errands and stuff but I am not even brave enough to take it around the parking lot anymore. I think about the license, all states vary but here in Vegas, if the moped doesn’t go faster than 30 MPH then you can’t go on the highway but, you don’t need a motorcycle license. The mopeds that can go up to 80 MPH are allowed on the highway with a motorcycle license!

Thank you, Claire! I am so looking forward to reading your answers! ❤

  5. The best cure I’ve found for hiccups is to bend over and drink from the opposite side of the glass, my dad taught me that one! I didn’t know you had tattoos, what’s the other one you didn’t share a picture of of?

    Liked by 1 person

  6. Such a fun read!!! Okay so many things—do you still use the Moped? I bet you could sell it for a pretty penny (if the license plate is replaceable, haha). Oh yup-Addicted is totally one of those songs that gets stuck in your head!! I have tried picking back up Nashville after stopping it, but I got so bored in the later seasons– I wish I hadn’t cause it is a good show. But oh wellll! Ahhh I remember DivaStarz! I loveee Francesca’s. And Rue21 still exists?! I haven’t seen one open in forever! I used to love that place. Also- that’s nuts that your hair just turned brown from the blue dye? Still looked good! Not a bad way for a dye to go wrong hah! xo

    Liked by 1 person

    1. Yay!! I’m happy you thought this was a fun read. 😀 I worry lots of people hate these tags but, I just love writing them lol.

The license plate is easily replaceable… I just wonder why someone stole it lol. We don’t really want to sell it because it could come in handy if our car breaks down or something and I enjoy riding on the back when boyfriend drives lol, I just can’t drive it myself!

Heheh, I seriously used to love DivaStarz… ❤ & Francesca's is the best, right?! There are quite a few Rue 21's still around. 🙂 I'll bet you find one in a mall near you!

Hahaha, yeah, it was a box dye and it had me bleach it first. Then put the blue in… the bleach is what made it turn that light brown and the blue did NOTHING lol, maybe there's a bit of a blue tint to the hair but that's about it!! 😛

  7. Congrats to you! And I really love your tattoo! I’ve always played with the idea of getting one, but I can never decide what symbol/saying/image I’d want on my body forever. But yours is very inspirational. Thanks so much for nominating me!

    Liked by 1 person

  8. You’re welcome for the nomination and thanks for answering my questions! 🙂 What did you do/where did you go when you went to New York? I’ve only been a few times, and it was to the touristy places, like Central Park and Radio City Music Hall. I’d love to explore the more local places there, but I don’t know how I’d do navigating the city haha.

    Liked by 1 person

  9. You look so cute in that moped! And I love mascots but not really into sports? 😂😂
I do the exact same thing when I get hiccups I hold my breathe until they’re gone. They’re so annoying to deal with.
I loved that you took a solo trip out to New York. You’ve inspired me to want to do the same. Honestly. I really need it lol.
How nice of that teacher to bump up your grade, most teachers would say “can’t do anything anymore” once the semester is over but that’s cool of him.
I can’t believe you got a phone in 6th grade! I didn’t get one until I was in high school 😭😭
And yes, target is much more peaceful to shop at. I love it.
I don’t think you’re an idiot for keeping a master password list. I have one too but only because a lot of those sites have different passwords. I know some people have the same password across different sites but if one thing gets hacked then everything goes with it too lol.

    Liked by 1 person

    1. Hahaha thank you, that moped is so crazy hard to drive but I love how it looks!! 😀 & I never really thought about mascots before! They rarely even show them during sports shows?! Do you have a fave mascot?!

The solo trip was definitely something I’m proud of but, I don’t think I would ever travel without boyfriend again haha! It’s too hard to sleep at night, you know? 😛

I KNOW! He really saved my life by bumping up my grade! He added like extra points for just turning in the book too. Whew! What a guy. ❤

I was so excited to get that phone because they told my older sister she wasn't getting one until high school… then she was going into high school and I was going into 7th grade so we got our first phones at the same time. 😀 Heheh, she was so mad!

Yeah… and they don't lock up all their crap at Target lol. At Walmart you have to "press the button for an associate" for everything!

Lol okay okay, I am glad I'm not the only one who needs a master password list. I just read a book that said "only idiots keep a list of all their passwords for someone else to find" hahaha. I tried to do the same password but all the sites have different requirements and stuff so it gets hard remembering them all lol!

      Liked by 1 person

      1. I wouldn’t mind getting a moped but it rains too much around here and there’s a lot of people who suck at driving lol.
I don’t have a favorite mascot. It’s been a while since I’ve seen them but I think they’re all cute lol.
Yeah I get what you mean. I’d miss my boys too. It would suck for me when Alex worked at the bar. I couldn’t fall asleep without him lol. I could use a night on my own though lol.
Awh hahaha my brother had gotten his first cause he was older and we kind of had to share but it was more his phone than mine. I was so ecstatic when I finally got my own in HS lol
Uhm if you leave your list lying around then yes lol. But who would go looking for your password list? Haha yes the passwords have to change for each site, I can’t tell you how many times that master list has saved me from resetting a password.

        Liked by 1 person

        1. Hahah yeah, there are crazy drivers around here, too! Boyfriend broke his wrist riding it once because a guy pressed on his brakes so hard in front of him. 😦

The mascots are cute, aren’t they?? I love how they are always so excited and jumping around. Yeah a night on your own is always nice. 🙂 Hopefully you get to have one soon!

That’s so nice of your brother to even kind of share with you lol. I never wanted to share anything with my sister. 😛

LOL I was reading a murderer book!! It made me feel like anyone at anytime could be looking for my password list!!

          1. Omg that sounds painful!!
Yeah! I remember liking half tome because that’s when they would do their choreographed dance routine with the cheerleaders lol. Do they still do that?!
My brother is too nice so I guess he didn’t mind as much but he would ask for it back and I had to comply lol.
            Oh hahaha that explains it

            Liked by 1 person

  10. Addicted used to be my jam back in the day! lol I still listen to it sometimes. When I get the hiccups, I just concentrate and anticipate when the next hiccup is going to come, and it almost always makes them go away. 😛 I was 17 when I got my first cell phone. It was a Nokia too. I got a pink glittery face plate thing for it, and it was so pretty. It turned my boring gray phone into a cute pink one. It even had a rubber cover for the buttons so that they would be pink too! I think I might still have that phone around somewhere.

    Liked by 1 person

    1. Hahaha I used to love it back in the day, too. 😀 I never listen to it anymore though because it’s always stuck in my head and I hear myself sing it enough already!!

Oh! That’s like when people would tell me to hiccup again for a million dollars! Lol they would always go away!!

I remember those rubber covers haha! And when people would “bejewel” their whole phone!

  11. What is the grocery store you go to regularly called? We just go to Walmart.
Are you subscribed to any subscription boxes? I used to but I was subscribed to too many so I cut them all off.
Do you ever print out your photos anymore? Yes!
What was your favorite project you remember working on in High School? I was homeschooled so there weren’t any projects.
Do you think it’s possible for parents to love one of their kids more than the others? I love both of my kids equally but there are times when I prefer one over the other.
If you could donate a large amount of money to one charity, which would you choose? Something for children or education.
Do you prefer online shopping over going to the store? I like both. They both have their pros and cons.
What was the last book you read that you would give a 5 star rating to? The Shack by William Paul Young
What is your favorite makeup product? Eye shadow
Do you wash your face everyday with a cleanser? Only if I wear makeup that day. Otherwise no.
What was your favorite toy as a child? I loved playing dolls with my sisters when I was kid. I think we were pretty good at giving each of them their own personalities.

    1. Do you have Walmart “Neighborhood Markets” where you live? Or do you shop at the Supercenter? & the same thing happened with me & the sub boxes earlier this year… now I’m back at having two a month. 😛 I only use cleanser when I wear makeup, too! & I also loved playing dolls with my sister. ❤

      Loved reading your answers, Cadie!!!

      Liked by 1 person

      1. We do have neighborhood markets. I shop at both. My sisters and I would get serious with our dolls to lol they would have jobs and apartments and they would get married and have babies. Sometimes we’d play Survivor with them, like the show and they would have to form alliances and vote each other off lol we’d make them little huts in the yard with sticks and leaves. 😂

        Liked by 1 person

        1. So interesting! In Minnesota, there are no Neighborhood Markets so when we moved here to Vegas we were looking for a regular Walmart and were so confused when we walked into the Neighborhood Market!! LOL.

I love that you guys played Survivor, how fun and creative!! My sister and I just always did “house stuff” like marriage and babies, cooking and cleaning lol.
