Happy 1st of the month! We renewed our lease today and our rent went up by $20. *eye roll* Our apartment manager didn’t even realize that our year ended yesterday, neither did boyfriend. I was the only one who was aware, I guess. I feel our rent should’ve stayed the same since we were the ones who brought it to their attention, lol.
Saturday night, boyfriend and I went out for a couple drinks together before I went into work. It was probably a mistake because the whole night was a blur and I’m sure I could’ve done better than I did… maybe not though because my memory is clear enough to remember that there weren’t many customers at all.
I worked until around 4 AM. In the car, on the way home, this car cut us off badly… we could’ve really got hurt but, luckily, we made it home safely. I am a little firecracker when I have too much to drink and I somehow thought it was boyfriend’s fault the car cut us off– I argued with him about that and absolutely nothing alllll morning until nearly 10 AM. YEP. 10. We eventually got to the best part of an argument though lol… you know, the making up part… *double eyebrow raise* 😉 and after that, I fell asleep soundly… hehe.
Yesterday, of course, we slept in until almost past 5 PM! We smoked a blunt and I showered as fast as my hungover ass could…
We wanted to try this new AYCE hot pot restaurant in Chinatown but, when we got there… we saw there were no parking spots so I just knew that there was gonna be an outrageous wait to eat. Boyfriend parked the car in an illegal spot and ran in the restaurant to see how long the wait would be. He came back to report a 45 minute wait which really means over an hour.
We decided to go to Yama Sushi instead of waiting that long… it was already so late and we were starving. We will definitely have to go back and try that hot pot some day though.
We’ve been to Yama a few times before but, not in quite awhile.
We almost went to Sushi Neko again but, we needed something different for once. You all know we go there way too much by now lol. 😛
I enjoyed the change of scenery and different options. We ordered a ton of appetizers… this is not even half of them!:
Then, we got 3 half rolls:
They were all a bit “extra,” in my opinion but, not too shabby. I loved how small the rolls were, they were so nice and easy to just pop into my mouth! At Sushi Neko, I must bite the pieces in half– they are SO large, I literally gag when I get too much of it!
I didn’t have any dessert because no dairy-free options. Boyfriend had a scoop of their Pistachio ice cream. I wanted to go to this new Boba Tea shop called Cafe No Fur, so we drove there and we even got inside. The door was unlocked and the the lights were on, menus open on the counter for us to browse but… yet, no one was in sight??
This shop is “special” because the waitresses all dress in lingerie while they make your drinks and take your orders. There was an eerie feeling in there and it def didn’t feel like we were alone. I shouted “hello!” but, no one responded. It seemed there was people in the back room… we weren’t brave enough to check though! Who knows what was going on??
Dirty, dirty… ?!? lol.
ANYWAYS, since they were unavailable… we just went to the Starbucks and ordered some drinks there.
I had been dying to try the Matcha frappucino since I saw Rossy (@AyRGalaxy) post about it so, that’s what I ordered!! I added 3 shots of espresso and subbed in almond milk. It was pretty good!! Boyfriend got a Vanilla Bean with 3 shots of espresso and cow’s milk!
When we got home, I put together my September 2018 ICYMI before plopping down on the couch for some American Horror Story with boyfriend. We’ve only got 2 more episodes to go and to be honest, I’m not that itchy to finish them but, I know we will eventually. I mean I want to, just… I’ve been way more engaged in the past seasons.
Around 1 AM, we both had the serious munchies. I asked boyfriend to go to Rivas and get us a breakfast burrito to share… lol.
He also came back with some chips and bean dip… mmm… it all hit the right spot!! I was so satisfied and ready for bed but, that hot sauce fucked me up! My stomach was bothering me terribly, I couldn’t ignore it enough to fall asleep.
I ended up reading the rest of The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas and then, starting a Pinterest account (follow me if you want!). I got addicted to pinning photos and stayed up until near sunrise.
Today, I woke up at noon. Boyfriend didn’t really wake up until almost 2 PM.
I spent ALL day reading blogs on my Reader. At around 6 PM, we went to the grocery store. I saw the cutest little guys:
We came straight home afterwards and then, I continued reading blogs from where I left off. Boyfriend was cooking dinner but, I was starving so I had a few snacks while I read your blogs. 🙂
When we ate, we watched a little bit of the second to last epi. of AHS but, once I finished eating I turned it off because I was wanting to write this journal entry more than sit there and watch TV.
I’m gonna write a mini book review for The Hate U Give now… not sure what I’ll do after that. Good night, folks! ❤
