The Most Annoying Habits I Have

Hey friends! A little switch in the schedule; I’m giving you this post today and a journal entry tomorrow. ❀ Hope you’ve all had a wonderful non-blue Monday!

If you tell me you don’t have ANY annoying habits, you’re probably lying or you’re probably not human… but hey, that’s okay– we can still be friends. πŸ˜‰

Me, personally? I have more bad habits than I can list… I’m still gonna try though!:

  • I have a constant need for reassurance.

I will ask the same question over and over again just so I can hear the same answer.

  • I am incredibly indecisive.

Seriously, it takes me centuries to make a decision on almost anything. I have to ponder all options.

  • I will re-tell the same stories to the same person.

Oops. I have no excuses– I usually don’t even realize it unless the person tells me, too.

  • I always let my hair cover my view, causing me to trip often and sometimes, I even accidentally chew on my own hair.

As a kid, my mom used to always have to remind me to move my hair out of my face. I don’t know why I still can’t remember to do so.

  • I can’t stop scratching my eczema patches.

I should apply cream every time I have an itch but, more than 60% of the time, I’m scratching that itch to shreds instead. That’s why my patches never seem to go away.

  • When I discover a new song I really like – I listen to it on repeat.

No other songs in between… just the same song over and over again. If boyfriend is not around to yell at me to ‘stooooop!’ it would be ALL day.

  • I overuse exclamation points.

If you read my blog or exchange comments with me often– you will have realized this already. I can’t help myself! I feel like a period sounds ‘mean’? I can’t explain it. I love exclamation marks, okay?

  • I always break the plastic clasp for the bread bag.

For some reason, every time I try to re-fasten the bread bag, I snap the little plastic clasp right in half!! It’s ALWAYS me that breaks it– never boyfriend.

What are some of your very worst habits? Do we have any of the same ones?

  1. Lol, I use exclamation points more than I should too! <– case and point. Even if I'm leaving little notes on post its, I normally end it with an exclamation point. We all have annoying habits. One of mine is that I like to do laundry a certain way. I prefer to do laundry myself because I want it done my way lol! Thanks for sharing Hunida!

  2. I’m also very indecisive and my boyfriend hates when I listen to the same music or same album for months πŸ˜… but I can’t help it.
This was a really interesting post!

  3. Yes we have, repeat the same stories hahahaha.. the other annoying habits would be too much to mention hahahaha.. ok I will mention one of its, I like to comment and asking while someone watching movie hahaha.. sometimes my sister asked me to shut up and go inside my room 🀣🀣🀣 I feel like happy to see her being annoyed.. well I think that is the most annoying habit that I have.. 😝😝😝

    1. LOL glad I am not the only one who repeats my stories!! Some people are like “uhhh you already told me” but my boyfriend will just listen AGAIN and AGAIN!! hahhaha.
Ohh nooo, my dad’s wife has the same bad habit of talking during movies, he used to yell at her all of the time for it hahha.
Thanks for sharing with me! πŸ™‚ ❀

  4. I need reassurance, too. I’ll always ask β€œare you sure?” multiple times whenever I make a decision just to make sure everyone involved is happy. People get annoyed by it, but I can’t help it! I also listen to the same song over and over and over again! I think it’s because I want to get the words right exactly so I can sing along to it. I don’t know… Right now, I’m on a β€œGod is a woman” kick. Listened to that song the whole way home from work (15-20 minute drive).

    1. ME TOO, ME TOO! I always ask boyfriend “are you sure?” he gets so aggravated hahaha! He’ll be like “I ALREADY SAID ‘YEAH’ A THOUSAND TIMES” hahah then I’ll still say, “but are you sure?!!!” like I can’t go on if he doesn’t say “yeah” just one (or two) more times. Gosh, good to hear I’m not the only one that is this way!!
& I just can’t stop listening to a song if I love it– another bad habit I should’ve listed is that I always sing the lyrics wrong to all songs no matter how many times I hear it!!

      1. Oh man, my boyfriend does that, too. Like, the completely wrong wordsβ€”it doesn’t even make sense in the song, but he’ll add it in anyway. If get so mad at myself when I mess up the words that I start the song over! I guess that’s another one of my annoying bad habits haha!

        1. Liz, I seriously just laughed to tears. I am the exact same way, you sound just like my boyfriend, he always says “that doesn’t even make sense!!” when I add in words!! I am still laughing hahahahahah.

          1. Haha that’s funny! I always interrupt and correct him… And then he still gets it wrong! So frustrating…

But you give him any Backstreet Boys song and he knows them all by heartβ€”don’t know what that says about him, but at least he can get something right!

  5. I definitely need constant reassurance but I end up overthinking about it to try to reassure myself, rather than talk to my fiancΓ© because I don’t want to burden him too much with my own worry! haha. I am indecisive too; even if I know what I want to do, I won’t say it!

    1. I cannot keep my worries to myself, I always drown everyone else around me in them. 😦 I am horrible… lol & same with the decisions… I am always looking for help & advice even if I won’t take it, hahah.

  6. Oh… I also have a constant need for reassurance… and have so much trouble making decisions. And when I do, I always think I made the wrong choice. I play favorite songs on repeat, too. Sometimes, I retell stories. And I overuse … Those dots are everywhere in my writing!

    1. I am the exact same!! Especially at restaurants, my heart races every time I order like, “oh gosh, what if the other dish I wanted is better?!”
Hehe, I’m so glad I’m not the only one that plays the fave songs on repeat… my boyfriend thinks it’s so annoying & “doesn’t see how anyone wants to hear the same song over & over” LOL.
I do notice your …’s but they are always at the right spots, so it really doesn’t seem excessive at all, ya know?!

  7. Ooo I am sooo excited to read this. I am WITH you on the indecisiveness. I feel you on that. I feel like life is soo short, I wanna make sure every decision is the best I can make in that moment- ya know?! These are all so fun to read. Oh yupppp that’s me with the exclamations. I try to chill out with it, but I never really succeed. Hahah.

I realllly love this concept for a post. And somehow if these are the worst of your annoyances I think you goooood, girl. Some of them are endearing like breaking the bread clasp lol! I may have to start thinking of things to write one. It wouldn’t take long. I drive myself nuts. Hahha

    1. YES YES YES, you just took the words right out of my mouth! Every decision needs to be the right one & gosh, too many times it hasn’t been so it makes me even more nervous to make my next move LOL.
I am so bad with the exclamations, hahah I don’t think it’s annoying really but I think other people do?! OH WELL!!! ;D Let’s keep using them as much as we want together!!
Aww, I thought of some other (maybe worse?) ones, of course, after I posted this but, these were the first ones I could think of. πŸ˜› Hehe, I’m so glad you enjoyed this post– means a lot! ❀ I'd def be interested in learning about some of your bad habits, looking forward to the post if you do write it!!

  8. I can’t stand those little plastic clasps! I can never get them back on right or they break and they are just not worth the hassle! Instead, I just twist up the bag and then fold it inside out over the loaf itself. πŸ˜† I also love listening to music on repeat, though it’s usually a whole album rather than one song, lol. And I agree, I feel like just using a period can come off as mean!

    Liked by 1 person

    1. Hahaha OH MY GOSH, YES! So glad to know I’m not the only one who man-handles those clasps!! I usually end up having to tie the bag into a knot. πŸ˜› & at least listening to the whole album is slightly less annoying than just one song, right? lol. Also, glad you agree with me about periods coming off as rude sometimes!! ❀

  9. I also listen to songs on repeat when I first discover them, and I use a lot of exclamation points too! πŸ˜› I can be indecisive as well. Sometimes when I decide to watch a movie here at home, I will literally sit in front of my movie stand for 40 minutes sometimes just trying to pick something to watch.

    1. Hahah ugh, I just can’t stop listening to certain songs sometimes… they’re so good haha. πŸ˜› & that’s just like me! I’ll watch the trailers & read the little descriptions for sooo long before I can decide which to watch!

    1. Ah, I don’t wanna tell you but… I’m a Gemini lol. Everyone hates us. 😦 😦
I laughed out loud at this comment so I had to tell my boyfriend & he just rolled his eyes & said “yeah, she’s just like you” hahahah.

  10. HAHAHAH, I laughed my ass out at the hair part? Why do you do that tho? Does that mean you’ll probably never want short hair? And omg me too, I love scratching my eczema patches, its so weird! My friends always slap my hand when I am scratching and they are always disgusted at how scabby it looks even tho it looks alright to me? HAHA.

    Liked by 1 person

    1. I DON’T KNOW lol, it takes me forever to just push the hair out of my face. I will let it obscure my view for so long?! I love my long hair, at this moment, I don’t think I’d want short hair.
AHAHA YES, you are like me! My boyfriend always slaps my hands away, too. I can’t help it! It’s just much more satisfying to scratch at it!

  11. Ooh what a fun idea for a post Hunida! I love it! I can’t imagine you being annoying though!
I am totally the same with exclamation marks! I think growing up when texting friends or whatever, it always came across really blunt if people put a full stop and not a !!! So I’ve always overdone the exclamation points! However a couple of years ago my friend told me it made my blog hard to read for her because there were too many so I try to edit my posts to have the bare minimum now! And oh my gosh that reminds me, one time I was talking to this guy and we were texting, then he accused me of using to many exclamation points and stopped talking to me πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
Also I used to chew my hair but I don’t any more! I used to bite off my split ends πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
I get the reassurance thing too! I try not to stress too much these days because all about the positivity buuuut still πŸ˜‚ I totally understand!

    1. Hahaha, awe thanks!! My boyfriend would probably beg to differ. πŸ˜‰

I KNOW! Like, I just feel rude if I end some sentences with a period. It doesn’t feel nice at all hahah. I’ve read SO many bloggers write about how “exclamation marks shouldn’t be overused” but, I just can’t help myself!! OOPS, lol. I am dying about the guy who stopped talking to you over it, though. WOW. What a turd!!!

I don’t mean to chew on my hair, I just don’t push it out of my way when I should?! I have no idea why I just let it get it my eyes all the time.

Hahah I feel you, I am trying the whole non-stress positivity stuff too, but does that mean I can’t re-ask the same questions to hear the same answers once in awhile?! πŸ˜›

      Liked by 1 person

      1. Haha well I’m sure he has his annoying habits too πŸ˜‰
It sounds so blunt I’m like oh sorry did I offend you to you be using that full stop? πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ well! I’ve never read your posts and thought there’s too many exclamation points there so keep doing what you’re doing πŸ’πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ It doesn’t bother me! Just write how you want to write! i know! Such a drama queen. I mean, if he was going to get that upset over grammar alone it probably wouldn’t have worked out anyway… i dodged a bullet πŸ˜‚
Haha now I can’t imagine chewing my hair! I’m always pushing it out of my face! It makes me think of Violets hair from Incredibles because she always has it in her face!
Haha of course not!! Ask to your hearts content if it makes you happy! You can be positive and stress free in other ways ;D

        Liked by 1 person

        1. LOL he def does. πŸ˜‰ I agree, you definitely dodged a bullet with that guy hahah. He sounds way too anal for my liking.
OMG YES, that’s the perfect example of me. I am like Violet from The Incredibles lol. I always have my hair in my face like that!

❀ thanks, babe!! I already have a beauty question for you! What's your fave non-smudging mascara!?

          Like

    1. I agree! Sometimes I feel like I take things the wrong way when people just end their sentences with periods haha. πŸ˜›

Being indecisive is the worst, right? Boyfriend takes like 2 minutes to decide what he wants off the menu while I’m sitting there stressing out for 10+!! lol.
