Yes, I am breaking a couple of the rules. Sorry!

Why I Love Blogging

I love blogging because I can be open and honest with my thoughts. Nothing I do feels like a “waste” since I started my blog. I’m able to share what I’m currently watching, reading, or just doing. I always find someone who agrees with me, even on things that I thought no one else would ever feel the same way about. I have my own, personal space that I can make and change to fit me. I have a digital diary that I can look back on in the future. A safe and fun place to store my memories. I love writing, I love expressing myself… I love blogging!

10 Random Facts About Me

Man, I feel like I do this a lot. I hope I can come up with some NEW facts this time, I apologize if I’m repeating myself.

  1. I always keep my phone on Silent Mode. No vibration, no sounds.
  2. I type really fast. Boyfriend asks me if I’m even typing real words or just being spastic sometimes.
  3. I love reading and watching anything about serial killers. Real ones and fake ones.
  4. I don’t know how to swim.
  5. My biggest fear is sink/bath drains. I will not, cannot touch them at all. I will scream and scrub at the contaminated area with hot water and soap for hours if I accidentally come into contact with one.
  6. I almost failed my Interior Design class in High School… how pathetic, I know.
  7. My blog’s birthday is next month.
  8. I prefer reading eBooks over physical books.
  9. I don’t like any soda except ginger beer, ginger ale, and those Izze drinks.
  10. Β Even though I was born in Minnesota, I’ve never been ice fishing, ice skating, nor snowboarding. I have gone skiing once but, I wasn’t even able to get myself up the bunny hill.

Julie’s Questions For Me

  • Is there a specific reason you started blogging?

Oh gosh, I feel like I’ve answered this question SO many times. I honestly didn’t know I’d be running a blog for so long. I found this 30 Day Challenge on Pinterest one day, opened up this blog to complete it and I continued blogging every day since. πŸ˜€

  • If you could meet someone famous, who would you pick and why?

Hmm… I’d be really nervous meeting any celebrity. What would we be doing when we met? Would it just be like a quick meet and greet where I get their autograph and go or will we be hanging out and doing something fun together? I guess I’d choose… someone really famous like Beyonce just so everyone else would be jealous, lol.

  • Do you blog from your phone, tablet, or computer? Which do you prefer?

When writing a post I ALWAYS use my computer. To reply to comments, my computer, too. But, I prefer to read posts on my phone.

  • Do you drink the recommended daily amount of water?

Yes. I have a pretty large plastic water bottle that I always have filled with water by my side. I am sure I drink MORE than the recommended daily amount.

  • Are you organized or is everything just where you last left it?

I am messy, messy, messy. It’s bad.

My Questions For You

  1. Do you usually have your phone on Vibrate, Silent, or full-on Sound?
  2. Do you prefer your ice cream in a cone or a cup?
  3. Did you ever play the game Four Square as a kid?
  4. Do you like college-ruled or wide-ruled paper better?
  5. What is your number one favorite TV series that runs for 30 minutes per episode?

I Nominate…

Does Alice count as a member of The Brady Bunch family? I’m not going to count her so that means I need to nominate 8 bloggers for this award.

  1. Andrea at The Perks of Being Different
  2. Lexi at TheLexiEdit
  3. Demi at The Lupie Momma
  4. Jamie at Don’t Give A Jam
  5. Jennie at 50shad3s0fjay
  6. Sandra at What Sandra Thinks
  7. Libby at DimScreen
  8. Pamela at Starring Pamela

If I nominated you, don’t feel pressured at all to participate. I’ve just randomly chosen bloggers whom I’ve recently interacted with. No hard feelings if you don’t do these sort of things. πŸ˜‰

If you’re reading and I didn’t nominate you, why don’t you answer the questions I asked down below in my comments? I’m dying to hear ALL of your answers!

  1. I’m gonna be breaking all the rules because no one ever does mine lol but I’m always honored you pick me πŸ€—

The sink drain thing is interesting. But we gotta talk about that whole dislike of physical books 🀣

    1. Aw! A lot of people don’t like these awards for some reason?! I personally LOVE them. ;D

I just cringed like WHY IS SHE TALKING ABOUT SINK DRAINS then I remember I wrote about it hahaha. πŸ˜› They’re so gross ick ick ick!!!

But heeeey, I like physical books, I don’t DISlike ’em… I just prefer eBooks!!! ;D

      1. So why don’t you like them? I don’t like the huge drain/vent things in the street you can look through. Not the ones on the side but the ones on the sidewalks. And oh okay. I mostly read ebooks since I can read at night without life but uh the feel and smell of a real book is amazing.

      1. It makes me feel less anxious and it means if I get a message I respond naturally, I may not reach for my phone as soon as it comes through and reply when I’m ready πŸ˜‚

    1. Lol!!! My boyfriend is always like “do you need to type that fast? Are you really typing words or are you angry!?!” & YES, a good murder show is the best but those serial killers are the most fascinating, right?! ;D

Can’t wait to read your answers!!! ❀

  2. 1. My phone is always on vibrate. Occasionally, I feel like living “dangerously” and I’ll put my phone on full-blast volume until I realize I hate being bothered by anyone and everyone haha!
    2. I love a good sugar cone, but I feel like I’m cutting calories by not being able to eat my ice cream cup and since I’m on a diet and trying to be “good,” cup.
    3. Yes, I did and I was a four square beast!
    4. I write big, but I prefer college-ruled notebooks. Is that weird? It just contains the hugeness of my handwriting in a teeny tiny space. Wide-ruled just gives me too much freedom.
    5. The only shows I watch that run for 30 minutes an episode are Friends, Will & Grace, or Big Bang Theory and I couldn’t possibly choose a favorite because I love them all so much!

    1. Hi Liz!!! Thanks for answering my questions. πŸ˜„

Aww! Screw the diet! A cone makes the ice cream so much better, doesn’t it?! I totally get what you mean about the wide-ruled vs. college-ruled! My handwriting gets way too big on the wide, too! Hahah. I also love all 3 shows you mentioned!! β™‘

Hope you have a wonderful day, love!

  3. Thank you so much for nominating me lovely! I’m excited to answer your questions. I am so happy your 30 day Pinterest challenge you started this blog for turned into you blogging continuously because I love reading your blog posts. I prefer physical books over eBooks sooo much, in fact the only book I’ve ever read on a technical device shall we say, is Looking For Alaska by John Green which I read on my phone. I know it sounds silly but I was never certain if I was reading the real story or not LOL like if this copy I was reading on my phone was legit. I love reading physical books but I have nothing against eBooks. I guess eBooks could be considered easier to read. I loved reading your answers, Hunida πŸ™‚

    1. You’re welcome, love! Looking forward to reading your answers! β™‘ I am glad I continued to blog after the challenge too or I’d have never found you! I actually get what you mean, being worried that you aren’t reading the real thing. I just feel like physical books are so heavy now after reading so many books on my phone & iPad. I do miss the book smell & flipping the pages though.

      1. I have the post written but I can’t remember when I’ve scheduled it to go up, sometime soon though. Aw you’re so sweet!! It’s crazy how life takes you places though like I bet you can’t imagine your life without blogging now, thank goodness for the pinterest challenge! Oh my gosh do you? That’s so interesting. I’m glad you can relate. Yeah after reading them on your ipad for so long I can get why you wouldn’t be so keen on picking up an actual book, they can be uncomfortable.

  4. I kind of prefer eBooks too! I just love how convenient they are with numerous books available and I love always having a light, lol. Also, that’s kind of interesting how for writing posts & comments you prefer the computer but for reading posts, you prefer the phone. I prefer the computer for writing posts & reading posts (I simply CANNOT get a post to work correctly in the editor on the app), but I prefer replying to comments on my phone lol. Probably because I love the emojis. πŸ˜‰

    1. Yes exactly! You can’t read a book before bed without a light on & I hate to have to turn the light off before I fall asleep, ya know?! I would like replying to comments on my phone more if they would show my comments properly on the app but they always get jumbled & weird! I do love the emojis though!! πŸ˜„
