My Daily Makeup Routine — A Golden Glow Perfect For The Summertime!

Welcome to DAY FIVE of my collaboration with Rossy and Tialla!

If you have no idea what I’m talking about, let me fill you in (if you’re a loyal follower and you already know what I’m talking about; scroll past the banner). For the ENTIRE month of June, I’ll be teaming up with the talented creators of AyRGalaxy and Tialla’s Tellings. We’ll all be posting at 09:00 AM (PST) every Monday and Wednesday. Rossy even created an easy-to-read banner so you can know exactly what to look forward to and when!:

If I had to name this makeup look I’d go with: Golden Glow. I do my makeup this way nearly every single night and at least one of my clients will end up saying, “I love a girl who doesn’t wear any makeup.” It’s that look. I’ll fill you in on how to achieve this Golden Glow, perfect for the summertime (even though I do this same look during the winter months, too)!! It’s super easy. I do want to take a moment to apologize for my very hairy eyebrows; I’m in the process of growing them out… I know it’ll be worth it in the end. Oh, and my hair… it’s a complete mess… but, this post is only supposed to be about the makeup routine, isn’t it?!

No makeup

Step 1 — Concealer

wp-1529209313500..jpg

Ever since I received Benefit’s Boi~ing Airbrush Concealer in the shade No. 3 in my May 2018 Birchbox, I’ve been using it to conceal the areas around my eyebrows. I use Sigma’s Concealer F75 Brush to draw the lines around my brows, like so:

wp-1529209313462..jpg

Then, I use Tarte’s Amazonian Clay Waterproof 12-Hour Concealer in Tan. Before I had Benefit’s Boi~ing Airbrush Concealer, I simply used this Tarte concealer for the areas around my eyebrows (with no brush).

wp-1529209313491..jpg

I apply the Tarte concealer on my dark undereyes, down the middle of my nose, and on other dark spots/blemishes.

wp-1529209313406..jpg

I use the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge to blend in all of the concealer. The F75 Brush was only used to apply it, not blend it.

wp-1529209313384..jpg

Step 2 — Eyeshadow

wp-1529209313364..jpg

I use the L.A.B.² Just Blending In Brush to apply Urban Decay’s Eyeshadow in the color Baked all over my lids.

wp-1529209313342..jpg

Step 3 — Foundation

wp-1529209313427..jpg

I squeeze a small dollop of Tarte’s Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Foundation w/ SPF 15 in the color Tan Honey on to the back of hand. I use my finger to dot the foundation on specific parts of my face. Three dots on each cheek, three dots across my forehead and my chin, also down the center of my nose, and on my mustache area.

wp-1529209313417..jpg

I blend the foundation in with the Sigma Flat Kabuki F80 Brush.

wp-1529209313332..jpg

Step 4 — Eyelashes

wp-1529209313322..jpg

I use Revlon’s Extra Curl Eyelash Curler to curl my right eyelashes.

wp-1529209313312..jpg

Then, I coat my right eyelashes with Sephora Collection’s Lashcraft Length + Volume Mascara in Noir.

wp-1529209313250..jpg

I repeat the above two steps on my left eyelashes.

wp-1529209313260..jpg

Step 5 — Setting Foundation

wp-1529209313241..jpg

I received the Sephora Collection Matte Perfection Powder Foundation in Shade 26 in my March 2018 Play! box. Ever since then, I’ve been using it with my Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge to dust all over my face for that complete matte finish.

wp-1529209313223..jpg

Step 6 — Highlighter/Bronzer

wp-1529209313303..jpg

Across the top of my cheek bones, at my hairline, the line under my eyebrows, on the sides of my face between my hair and eyes, down the center of my nose, and on my chin, I use the brush that comes built-in underneath Urban Decay’s Naked Illuminated in Lit to highlight and bronze.

wp-1529209313292..jpg

This is the main product you will need if you’re looking for that perfect golden GLOW.

wp-1529209313482..jpg

wp-1529209313271..jpg

Step 7 — Moisturize Lips

wp-1529209313472..jpg

Nothing moistens my lips the way Carmex does. It’s also leaves a pretty and colorless gloss.

wp-1529209313450..jpg

Step 8 — Inner Eye Highlight

wp-1529209313396..jpg

I, again, reach for my Eyeshadow in Baked by Urban Decay but, this time I use my Eyeshadow 2 Brush by Vasanti. I dip the tip into the eyeshadow and draw a line across my lash line, right along the top of my eyelashes because the brush used in Step 2 seems not able to reach that area. Then, I dip the tip of the brush into the eyeshadow again, and tap it onto the inner corners of my eyes for more of a pop.

  1. That UD eyeshadow was the star for this golden glow! Its absolutely stunning I have to get my hands on baked now! Just a thought but maybe Becca champage pop to really take it to the next level? Hahaha, love this!

  2. My goodness Hunida, you are such a natural beauty! This makeup look definitely enhances your natural beauty and capitalizes on it. “Golden glow” is definitely the perfect description for it! You are just gorgeous! Also, isn’t Carmex the best?! I use it all the time lol.

  3. You have the prettiest face and gorgeous skin!! 😀 I love this look so much, it really is perfect for summer! 🙂 You’re probably a pro at this look and can get it done so fast if you do it often 🙂
I think the reason I love this look is because it looks SO NATURAL! Girl, I cannot even tell you’re wearing foundation! 😀 I’m gonna have to get me a sample of that one haha

    1. Aw stop it, Rossy! You are too sweet to me. ♡♡♡ Lol yes, I can get this look done in less than a half hour and under 15 min if I minus the eyeshadow lol.

I looove that foundation, it’s so lightweight and full coverage but to be completely honest, I’ve not tried many other liquid foundations before. Lol.

      1. Well you ARE gorgeous, I can’t lie 🙂 LOL
Hmm, well I’ve heard nothing but good things about this specific one, but because it’s so pricey I’ve never bought it. I’m waiting to finish my Bare Minerals one so I can buy this one lol.

      2. I’ve only had to buy a replacement of the bottle after THREE YEARS of use (applying the way I do in that makeup routine post; just a dollop a day). It’s def worth the money & if you like pretend browse on Tarte’s website & enter your e-mail address… add a few things in your cart and leave the site, they’ll e-mail you a discount code to purchase what you “forgot” in your cart lol.

      3. Ooooh, I’m intrigued!!!! 😀 It would last me forever LOL
Hahaha that’s a great tip. I would need to go to Sephora first to make sure I get shade matched if I order it online. 🙂 Then again, I do want to use the beauty card and get points and use the play card too HAHA

      4. I’ve never gotten shade matched before. I just looked at the colors like hmm… maybe that one & I was lucky I was right!! 😛

I’m so mad because the last time I went to Sephora I forgot the points card and I couldn’t figure out how to pull it up on my phone.

      5. I never get the right one even though I get whatever is closest and it’s even worse when the shade range is small. I mean, even my favorite NYX concealer doesn’t match me and I made sure to get one shade lighter and one darker, I think the formula must have changed too because they do oxidize a little.
Oh no!! Do they send it in the email? Or do you think you have to log in to the site to pull it up? If you know let me know in case I ever forget mine too when I go.

      6. I guess some people need to mix foundations and concealer to get the exact color they’re looking for!! Oxidize.. hmm, I looked up the word but still not sure what it means for makeup?

I still don’t know how to pull it up on my phone lol! I got it in an e-mail saying “don’t forget to use your June Play! pass” & then I just screenshotted it in case I make it to the store before the 31st.

      7. Yeah but I’m not up for buying two expensive foundations haha. I’ll have to find my shade in the NYX foundation, they’re much cheaper and apparently good quality. So we’ll see. And oxidization in terms of makeup means that it gets darker. So if a product has oxidization, you’d have to get one or two shade lighter than you normally would get.
I should go to Sephora, but no money right now and then I still want to buy the products for my giveaway lol.

  4. Extraordinary. I paint people mostly (oil on canvas), and spend a lot of time trying to discern and reproduce the endless gradations of flesh tones. It sometimes feels like applying makeup to a face. Your effects are wonderfully subtle.

    1. Aww, you are so so sweet. ❤ ❤ I've always been really lucky to have pretty clear skin so I've no secrets on that but try using the Propolis 80 Cream by Pureheals for a moisturizer & the Nip + Fab Glycolic Scrub Fix as a cleanser! I've noticed my skin getting noticeably brighter & softer after each use of those two products!!

I'm so happy you've been enjoying our collab!! ❤ If you ever wanna do a collab, even just for one post instead of an entire month thing– you can always e-mail me & let me know if you have any ideas. 😀

It really warms my heart to hear that you love my blog!! ❤ Thank you for reading & commenting!!!

      1. I’m definitely writing these products down! I always have struggles because my skin is relatively clear, but I get allergic reactions to makeup and skincare products so it can become a complete pain.

I really do love your collab! And I just might contact you about doing one! I’ve been wanting to do a back to school series for August and thought it might work nicely as a collab!

I thoroughly enjoy your blog, keep being amazing!

      2. I get itchy or dry from some makeup & skincare products too so I try to go for things that are only aimed to sensitive skin. Hope the products I suggested work out for you. ❤

Oh gosh, oh no, I'm sorry lol… no school stuff for me!

❤ You are such a sweetheart, thank you!!

  6. This look is so pretty for summer! Guys are so dumb sometimes though, thinking you have no makeup on. 😛 It makes me wonder what they think when they really see a girl without any makeup.
