I am totally in love with the design of the bag this month. The back of it is a pretty coral color, too.
The theme was: Go There. I guess the 3 women on the postcard went on an extravagant vacation to Paris and they think we can all afford to go on one as well… HA!
What Was In My Bag?!
Kokie Cosmetics – Nail Polish in Fresh Picked
“Shaky hands? Us too. The light, slender brush makes it easy to apply, and fill in blank spots without making a mess. It’s a long-wearing and chip-resistant for up to five days after you apply it. It’s 3-free, which means it’s void of three ingredients sometimes found in polishes that aren’t so great for your health.” –via Ipsy
My Review: I know, I know… my paint job was quite messy. The formula of this nail polish is VERY sticky. It is seriously like applying Elmer’s School Glue on your nails. I like the color– it’s a cheery, pale pink. This nail polish also lasted extremely long without chipping. Way over their claim of 5 days. I did apply a top-coat over it but, I’ve used the same top-coat on other nail polishes and they don’t last half as long. This nail polish is strong and very long-lasting. It dries rather quickly but, it is thick so you have to be careful for awhile if you don’t want any dents/nicks. Maybe I used too much product because of the stickiness; I was obviously having trouble with the application part. At such a low price, I would definitely buy another few bottles and try to get used to the stickiness though.

Huda Beauty – Faux Mink Lash in Jade #13
“These fluttery falsies are triple-stacked, which means they create maj drama but in a soft, wispy way. The fibers at the base are arranged in a criss-cross pattern to enhance root volume and even make it look like you’re wearing liner. They *look* like real mink fur, but you can bat these babies knowing they’re vegan and cruelty-free.” –via Ipsy
My Review: I’ve always wanted some faux mink lashes. I heard they’re the best. Also, I’ve heard about the brand: Huda Beauty being one of the best, too! I’m too scared to even open these. I need to practice and become a pro at applying lashes before I ever do. Look how pretty they are!! I was beyond excited to see that these were included in my bag.

TONYMOLY – Painting Therapy Pack in Sebum Control Black Color Clay
“This wash-off mask is packed with skin-loving ingredients like black bamboo charcoal, which helps remove deep impurities, and breaks down dead skin cells on the surface. Lava clay and kaolin clay gently detoxify your pores without drying out your skin (AKA no tight, uncomfy feeling after you use it). This baby also helps control sebum production so your skin is happy and balanced.” –via Ipsy
My Review: Hmm, this had a perfume-y scent but, it wasn’t too unpleasant. I do fear putting anything with a scent onto my face… but, I tried it anyways. No problems so far (fingers crossed!). This product was a little weird to apply. If you don’t have enough of the clay on your fingers, you will just start to wipe it off. It literally just wipes away with one swipe, like dry-erase board markers on a dry-erase board, those little sprinkles included. I could feel a tiny sting as it sat on my face, in that completely satisfying way. I also, 100%, back their claims about not having that yucky tight feeling afterwards, too. I only put it on on certain areas of my face; where I create the most oil. It says you can apply it all over your face if you need to. I believe it will thoroughly do its job if I continue to use it as directed.

First Aid Beauty – Ultra Repair Hydrating Serum
“This hydrating serum is made with hyaluronic acid, which leaves your skin super soft and smooth. The soothing formula is loaded with calming ingredients like colloidal oatmeal and aloe leaf juice, so it’s great for all skin types– even sensitive.” –via Ipsy
My Review: Love, love, love. Anything made by First Aid Beauty my skin just sings for. My face is seriously so smooth after using this only twice in one week. I followed it with First Aid Beauty’s Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration each time and I can feel such a difference… it’s insane! It’s a clear, gel-like substance and when you rub it onto your skin, it feels like water! It dries up just as quick, too! It doesn’t have a scent which is what I prefer for face products. I truly recommend adding this product into your skincare routine!
Full-Size Retail Value: $36.00 (1 fl oz)
Aphrodite – Olive Oil Face Scrub
“This cream scrub is made from ground almond and natural olive seeds to exfoliate, remove dead skin, and leave you with your softest, glowiest skin ever. It also has skin-loving ingredients like chamomile, grapeseed oil, and olive oil to nourish and unclog pores.” –via Ipsy
My Review: Hmm… there really is no scent, I liked that but man, is this stuff THICK. It feels worse than lotion. It’s super greasy and it left my face feeling sticky even hours after washing it off. It also gets boring massaging it in for 3 minutes. My skin did feel a lot softer the next day but, it only lasted for the one day. I could tell my face already wasn’t as soft the day after. I won’t make myself continue using this though, I can’t stand the heaviness of it… no matter how much it could eventually do for me. You can just absolutely tell that this was made out of olive oil… not in a good way.
Full-Size Retail Value: On sale on their website right now for $10.99, originally $16.99 (.22 lbs)
Cruelty-Free?: I e-mailed them and will update this when I get a response. I think they are a fairly new company because their website seems very unfinished and no other websites have information on them.
First, I just have to ask, who else thinks the blurbs for “Why You’ll Love It” on the Ipsy app/website are always so annoying? They need a new writer or something. Second of all, I’m annoyed with the lack of variety in this bag. Like, THREE face products? That’s crazy– and it’s the reason why it took so long for me to test everything out. I had to give everything its own week in case it ruined my face… I had to be able to know exactly what to blame. Luckily, everything I was given was suitable for the sensitive skin types like my own. I’ll admit though, if I was testing Ipsy out and this was my very first bag, I’d cancel it after receiving this one but, I know they know how to pack a quality bag so I’ll keep this subscription and hope for a better June Glambag.
