Journal Entry #55

February 06, 2018

Wow, it feels like it’s been forever since I wrote a proper journal entry. I know I should have written this yesterday (according to my schedule) but man, I’ve just been so sleepy since I got home from NY. I’ve been sleeping and eating every day since I’ve been home and that’s about it.

I had to go get my nails taken off yesterday because I had broken 3 of them. I’m so sick of having nails. My fingers feel so free now, I don’t think I’ll get new ones for awhile. I’ll see how my real nails can grow. πŸ™‚ I also went to get my eyebrows threaded. They look okay but not amazing.

My appetite wasn’t as big as I had hoped it would be in NY because I didn’t have any weed to smoke. I would have ate so much more if weed was legal there. πŸ˜› Sleeping was hard, too…so that’s why since I’ve been home I’ve been really trying to catch up on my sleep and food.

Boyfriend didn’t eat anything all day on Saturday. He waited for me to get home which wasn’t until around midnight. We came home, dropped off all my stuff, and smoked a blunt…then I became ravenous.

We went to a Mexican fast-food restaurant next door. We ordered so much food and pretty much ate all of it, too.

Hibiscus Tea
Beef Fajitas
Shrimp Fajitas
Chicken Wings & Fries
Bean Dip

I also had a hard shell beef taco and boyfriend had 2 chicken hard shells, lol. We are monsters, aren’t we?!

On Sunday, we had our traditional Sushi Sunday. πŸ˜€

Yesterday, we went to a Vietnamese restaurant but I don’t believe it was actually owned or ran by a Vietnamese family.

Pho w/ Chicken (we didn’t ask for), Beef Balls, & Rare Beef
Spring Rolls
Stir-Fried Beef & Lemongrass Banh Mi

The sandwich was really tasty. The other stuff was just alright. We ordered a grilled beef sandwich to-go and we brought it home. I also ordered a tri-color dessert that was rather disappointing.

So, like I said, the past 2 days, I’ve just went out to eat and came home to fall asleep for the rest of the night. Today, boyfriend went to work around 3p and I actually took a shower and shaved, etc. I forgot to moisturize, though…so I’ve gotta go and do that now, damn it.

I already ate a little bit this morning. I had some of the fajita leftovers. I probably should make a sandwich or something before I go to work, too.

My life feels super messy and out of order right now. It should be back in order within a couple days, I am hoping.

I’m super behind on reading blogs but I’m sure you all already knew that, I’ll catch up someday, I promise. I’m so sorry if I missed any of your comments but my notifications cut them all off after a certain day. 😦 I tried finding them all but I know I wasn’t able to. I’m gonna start reading Behind Closed Doors when I get the chance (probably tonight before bed), I’m super excited. I thought I was gonna be on hold for it for much longer!

XO, Hunida

  1. I need both my nails and eyebrows done and I’m broke smh. I actually stopped getting nails and started growing my own out. Manicures help that process a lot. My nails are about as long as my fake nails used to be! Also… the food pics catch me on an empty stomach EVERY time! The shrimp fajitas made my stomach rise to attention and bark at me! Lol

    1. I’m trying the natural nails for a bit! I don’t know if I would be able to take care of my nails if they get super long–they’re so weak & thin. 😦
Hahaha. Sorry I made your tummy bark at you! Hope you found something yummy to eat! πŸ’—

  2. LOL I love how many food photos you got in here, everything looks super delicious! I see you got jamaica at the Mexican restaurant. We usually get horchata haha. Anyway, the shrimp fajitas looks AMAZING! I want some!! And the pho too, I really need to find a place where they serve some πŸ™‚

    1. What can I say? Food is my favorite! Hahah. πŸ˜€ Jamaica?! That’s what it’s called?! Cool! I didn’t know that. I also don’t know what’s in horchata so I’m scared to drink it. Is it dairy?? What is it made out of? Lol.

      1. Yeah it’s called Jamaica in Spanish. To be honest, I didn’t even know the name of it in English until a few weeks ago lmao.
I don’t remember horchata having dairy, it’s made out of rice, cane sugar, and they add cinnamon. Let me look it up, but I think it’s dairy free, but it does look milky haha

        1. Hahah, there are a lot of Khmer dishes I don’t know the names of in English, too, it’s okay!! πŸ˜€
Oohh…that sounds SO good. I’m def gonna have to try it next time but will make sure to ask if they use dairy!!

      2. Supposedly it’s made without dairy but in some places they do add milk. So maybe you should ask the place if they use it in theirs, because traditionally, it’s only made out of rice, vanilla, and cinnamon. There are also a few recipes out there in which they use almond milk instead of dairy. Lol.
