Journal Entry #45

January 09, 2018

Hi, all! 🙂

It’s been raining here in Vegas for the past two days. Weird, huh? Last night at work I became extremely dizzy. I still am dizzy right now. I don’t know what could be wrong with me? When I looked it up on the internet; they act as if it’s normal to get dizzy once in awhile…

I want to go back to work tonight since the CES convention is in town–it was busy last night and will be tonight as well. How do I stop this spinning?!

Yesterday, boyfriend gave up his shift to a co-worker that needed it. I’m glad he did. We woke up at like 3p because of the rain. Rain makes us sleep so peacefully; maybe because of the sound of the droplets or maybe because the sun doesn’t come pouring in so early. We didn’t get to lay around that much since we woke up so late. We were trying to decide if we should go out to eat or go grocery shopping. We chose to go out to eat at Nacho Daddy in Downtown Las Vegas. I was so glad that it wasn’t busy and that we were able to find a parking spot right in front of the restaurant.

We chose Nacho Daddy because we wanted Mexican food (something other than Chipotle for once, lol), it’s popular and we’ve always wanted to try it, they had a vegan menu (so I got to have “cheese”!!), and they had free house margaritas for every Yelp check-in. 😀

I ordered the Vegan Chick’n Quesadilla. It had this delicious fake queso cheesy sauce, some other kind of fake sticky cheese, and the chick’n was made out of tofu, I think. It tasted pretty damn close to a real chicken quesadilla, I loved it. I’d order it again, definitely. I was just so happy to find a place where they have fake cheese options!! The sour cream was dairy free, too!!

Boyfriend ordered this monstrous pile of nachos with real cheese and real meat, lol.

On their Specials Menu for the night they featured a Vegan Chocolate Cake…I had to have it. And I’m soooo happy I did…mmm. It was delightful.

I am very surprised I was even able to move, let alone go to work after all the yummy food but I was able to, lol. I got to work a bit before 11p. It was busy until around 2:30a…I wasn’t going to leave yet but I got called for a stage set around 2:10a and when I got off I was so extremely dizzy…I still am!! WHYY!!?! (The dizziness started before dancing on stage but it got worse after it.)

Today, we woke up around 1ish and I looked for some recipes. Looked up why I’m dizzy and how to get rid of it…over and over. When I found our 3 recipes for the week, I took a shower. When I got out I moisturized, got dressed. I wrote our grocery list up and then we headed to Smith’s. We stopped at Inyo the dispensary first to buy some weed. I was tempted to buy this chapstick, lol, but I didn’t. I might get it next time. 😛 I want to buy some edibles, preferably fruity gummies or hard candies, to bring to work, too but they only had chocolate assortments, cookies, and drinks there.

When we got home from grocery shopping…we smoked a blunt and I got right to typing this up. Boyfriend started on dinner and is still working on that right now…it smells soooo yummy. I’m gonna read some blogs on my reader while I wait for dinner to get ready now. 🙂

After dinner, we’re going to Starbucks as usual then, I’ll start getting ready for work. I sure hope this dizziness goes away SOON so I don’t fall over or faint at work.

  1. Dizziness can be caused by a lot of things. The best way to find out is go see a doctor and have blood tests. You may be low on iron or something simple or you could be getting sick. Go see someone please!
Btw, the cake has 0 calories since it’s vegan, right? 😂

    1. Ah. I stayed home from work because I am so extremely dizzy. I set up a doctor’s appt for tomorrow. 😛 I hope it’s something simple!
LOL I wish that cake was 0 calories…it tasted like over a thousand.

  2. Oh my goodness I hope you’re okay!! Dizziness can be a lot of things tho. Could be overpowering yourself, stress, low iron or sugar, not enough water, not enough carbs. Dizziness is like a main symptom to a lot of teeny issues so im sure everything is ok. And I can’t lie… that nacho with quac on it looked absolutely DELISH

  3. Being dizzy does not sound fun at all. 😦 I hope it passes soon. Mmm I just love Mexican food! Out of all the ethnic foods, it’s my favorite. That all looks so yummy. I really want a quesadilla now! That’s cool that they offer a vegan quesadilla too. I’m not vegan, but it’s still cool.

    1. It is not fun…I’m going to the doctor tomorrow. 😛 Thank you for your well wishes!! ❤
I'm not vegan either but thought it was super awesome, too. I almost asked for real chicken but fake cheese but I didn't want to confuse them so I just tried the fake chicken, lol. 😛

  4. I hope your dizziness goes away! That’s odd, the only time I’ve felt dizzy was right before I fainted, or if I’m extremely hungry. Which I don’t think is the case for you, that quesadilla looked filling! Ray and I went to a Mexican place on New Year’s Eve and they burned our nachos 😭 it was bad, tasted like burnt popcorn. At least work has picked up, I really hope you figure out what’s making you dizzy!

    1. Yeah the dizziness won’t stoppp ugh!!! I wish it was because I was hungry lol but that would never be the case… 😛
HOW DO YOU BURN NACHOS? Lol I would have been so upset…!!
      Thank you, Laken!!! ❤

      1. I really hope it does! That’s not good at all :/
And right? The guy legit said they’d be a few minutes and he brought them out like 15 minutes later, burnt, and acted like nothing was wrong with them. Ray and I should have said something lol. And he still gave the guy a $10 tip.

  5. omg a vegan quesadilla?! i wonder why restaurants here havent’t gotten to that point yet…ironically, i live in the city that is full vegetarians and vegans lol.. also, i think it might have something to do with how vegan food and mexican food don’t mix, but honestly, they’d have my vote if they did lol.. anyway! nice to see your updates! 😀

    1. I’ve noticed a lot of fully vegan restaurants but I liked that they just had a vegan menu and a regular menu too.
The quesadilla was good but def not as good as a real one but pretty darn close!

      1. Hmm, now that you mention it, there is one near Alex’s work. Their menu isn’t big, but they do have a vegetarian burrito and I thought it was decent LOL. I do love when restaurants have vegan/vegetarian options because I don’t eat meat as often anymore. However, it’s really hard to pass up carnitas tacos when we’re at a Mexican restaurant D: lol
