My YouTube Fitness Routine

I know many people have the New Year’s resolution to start working out more. Either for health, weight, or self-esteem reasons. In 2016, I had set a New Year’s resolution to have a flatter stomach. I cut out soda and cut down on alcohol. That was the ONLY New Year’s resolution I ever accomplished. Thanks to the beautiful fitness instructor, Rebecca Louise. I watched and attempted so many different instructors and videos on YouTube. I couldn’t find any I liked or that really helped until I found this video of Rebecca’s:

The way she talks you through the exercise is so soothing, she reminds you to breathe, tells mini stories to distract you a little, then reminds you again to hold your core. I never realized I wasn’t breathing or that I was forgetting to actually hold my core during flutter kicks. She doesn’t let you forget! She is just so calm and fun at the same time.

I did this workout once every morning before I took a shower for a month, then I started to do it twice in a row every morning and it kept getting easier and easier. My stomach was getting flatter and so much stronger. (I started to get super defined abs which I didn’t want so I actually had to quit working out every single day.)

If you’re looking for more of a challenge, (this wore me the fuck out, I’ve only done it two different times) this video is a really good one:

I learned that stretching is very important when you do these workouts. I always do the stretches along with this video before I do the working out:

I don’t do the Part 2 of the video. After stretching and working out, always remember to chug water!

  1. I’ll have to really check this out. I know you shared this with me Once early on and I just never did it πŸ˜‚ but summer is coming, and I need to tone down all my stomach fat. I’ll be coming back to this post, I’m thinking of getting a yoga mat soon anyways! I’d rather do something at home versus the gym.
