Aw, dang. I missed today’s (yesterday’s?) post by 10m but hey, what’s that saying? “Better late than never,” right?!
Yesterday, I stayed home all day and it was wonderful. I didn’t really do much. Boyfriend had the day off yesterday, too. We have been watching Runaways on Hulu. It’s a Marvel show and Hulu Original, it’s pretty awesome so far and already made me tear up once…so I’m already that invested, lol.
I started reading the 3rd Miss Peregrine’s book! That’s what I spent my day doing today. I woke up at almost 1p, boyfriend had already left for work. I took a quick shower, read some blogs on my reader, and then started reading Miss Peregrine’s until boyfriend came home at around 9p. I only got up once to feed the cats, haha. I usually don’t like fantasy books but I LOVE the Miss Peregrine’s series. I loved the first two and am already in love with this third one at 25%.
When boyfriend got home, I finally migrated from the bedroom to the living room. We watched the rest of the episode we stopped in the middle of before bed last night while we smoked a blunt. We made our last meal in the fridge last night so we had to go out and get something tonight.
We decided to go out for some Thai food. Our favorite spot was closed so we opted for Thai Pepper which is 24/7 and not in ChinaTown which we assumed would be busy since it’s Saturday night/Sunday morning. Thai Pepper wasn’t busy but there was a huge party going on and they were SO loud and taking the attention of all of our servers. We had to track someone down for water. When he came to fill it up finally boyfriend said, “hold on, sir” finished the whole cup of water and asked for another refill before he left again, lol.

We ordered everything super spicy, level 10/10. The beef salad was the spiciest and the tastiest!
After all the spicy food, I needed some (almond) milk tea to soothe my tummy and mouth. There’s only one place that I know of that has dairy-free milk alternatives and luckily, they’re open super late. I think until 3a? Not entirely sure though. The place is called Tea of Joy. On our way there I realized I forgot my phone at the Thai restaurant! We had to go back as I was freaking out, worrying that someone at the party there might’ve stolen it. I told boyfriend we didn’t have to get the milk tea since I fucked up by leaving my phone and I didn’t want him to have to keep driving around. But, traffic wasn’t so bad, my phone was at the restaurant, and we still went to Tea of Joy!
This is the teenage hotspot, I guess. There were so many of them lying around. There was one whole section of the place I didn’t take a picture of because I didn’t want to take a picture of all of them, lol. Luckily, they don’t order that much so we were able to get our drinks right away. Both of us opted for the Green Thai Milk Tea w/ Honey Bobas. I asked for almond milk and boyfriend likes whole. They don’t charge extra for being lactose intolerant either! BUT, luckily I watched the girl make them because she put whole milk in both of the drinks at first…I had to stop her and she had to make the drink all over again…
I need to get my nails done, I know. I’m waiting until I am able to go back to work so they’re fresh, lol. Probably Monday! What color should I do?
We just got home when I started typing this and we just finished smoking a blunt and drinking those teas! I’m probably gonna hop off now and we’re gonna watch the couple episodes we have left of Runaways.
Hope you all are having a wonderful weekend so far! ❤

Hahaha when I look in my phone’s photo gallery I start drooling, too! Days on the couch with bae are my favorite days, for sure. 💖 Thai food is delicious but we like it spicy so it’s so hard on my tummy today lol.

Wow – looks delicious! And you just made me think that I should ask at our local bubble tea place to see if they have dairy free alternatives. I don’t ever get milk tea because I know how they’ll make me feel but I might do it more often if the option were there…

Most of them don’t have the dairy free alternatives but it wouldn’t hurt to ask! Or you could ask them not to add any milk and you could just add it on your own but no one carries almond milk in their pocket, lol.

“They don’t charge extra for being lactose intolerant” hahahahahaha I love the way you said that. So true! Purple nails?

Hahah! Seriously, it sucks that mostly everywhere else makes me pay for almond milk…like it’s my fault! 😛
I love purple nails!! I won’t even be able to get them done tomorrow, though. 😦

I mean they soaked and ground up some almonds, not milked a cow…

Almonds are so expensive, most nuts are for some reason. 😦

Ah, spicy Thai food is the best but it always gives me a tummy ache. 😦

I’ll have to try something else, but because anytime I try a new thai place, I just HAVE to try their pad thai LOL

I’ve never really been to a tea place like that somehow, I know Pittsburgh has some, though. Your green tea looks so good! And that’s really awesome they have dairy free options. It’s good you were able to catch the girl before she made it with the wrong milk!

I hope you get to try a Boba tea place soon!!! Maybe next time you go see Ray. 🙂 I know!! I always watch because more often than not, they accidentally grab the regular milk (probably by reflex)!

Yeah I’ll have to mention it to him 🙂 and most likely honestly! When you do something all day certain things are just habit

Dang good thing you checked the milk!
My son is Vegan and I often wonder how often they just use regular milk instead of Soy by mistake

I know!! I get so upset, I don’t want a stomach ache all night. I catch them a LOT and sometimes when I don’t catch them, they catch themselves and inform me they need to make my drink over!! I wonder how many times neither of us catch it! 😛

Can you taste the difference? I honesty do not think my son can at times!
