Favorite Dates I’ve Been On

Ok, so if you’ve been following me for awhile, you probably know by now that I’m obsessed with food. I truly think the best date ever is going out to a nice dinner and dessert. For this post though, I’ll share with you my favorite dates that I’ve been on that didn’t include eating as the main activity.

Live Shows

One of my favorite dates that boyfriend and I went on was our very first one. We went to a Suicide Girls: Blackheart Burlesque Show. I loved it so much but I can’t find any pictures from our night. 😦

Our second date was to the circus. It was my first time ever attending a circus. I fell asleep at the end, lol…but only because I was exhausted that night–I did like the show!! I’ve read too much about animal abuse in the circus to think that I’d ever enjoy a show again but it was fun while I was there.

Xcel Energy Center – Saint Paul, Minnesota

I also love going to all kinds of plays, improv shows, comedy shows…you know, stuff like that! We used to go to so many, I’m sad I don’t have any pictures of those times and I’m also sad because I don’t know why we never go to these kinds of things anymore. 😦 I think I want to go to a murder mystery dinner for Valentine’s Day this year!!

Arcades and Bowling

Lake-Bryant Bowl – Minneapolis, Minnesota

At the bowling alley we were at (in the picture right above this sentence) they didn’t have an arcade or laser tag because it was an old-school bowling alley, it was made long ago–they’ll probably never change this, it’s historic.

It was super cool to play on for one round but I really do prefer bowling alleys with the big arcades and especially the laser tag room.

Fairs and festivals are my absolute FAVORITE. Any time I see that ferris wheel and those colorful tents, I scream “I wanna gooo!!” seriously, lol.

Movie Theater

I think everyone loves a date at the movie theater. It’s just soooo romantic and cozy, especially if you can lift the arm seat between you two. ;-D

We’ve only been mini-golfing once but I’d love another mini-golfing date! It is SO much fun and way better than actual golf.

What would you enjoy doing on a date? I’d love to hear your ideas!! 🙂

  1. If you enjoy comedy, I watch this guy from Houston on YouTube named Chinedu. He is funny! Maybe it’s because it’s about my city but he really cracks me up no matter what he’s talking about.
My favorite dates are going for walks around the water. 😀

  2. Ahhh those all look so fun! I’ve never been to a circus or a live burlesque show! Our bowling alley up here is old school and doesn’t have anything like an arcade or laser tag. And I’ve never been to another one, so I didn’t know that was a thing until reading this post hahaha.
Ray and I went mini golfing once over the summer – he kicked my ass because I suck at it 😂 but I’m hoping next year we can do more fun things like that. We haven’t even gone to the movies together yet 🙊

    1. Oh my gosh, really?? I rarely have ever been to a bowling alley with no arcade (except for the one in my post). There are a lot that don’t have extravagant arcades and laser tag but wow, they usually have a small arcade (at least all the ones I’ve been to). I’m sorry you’ve never got to experience one! The best one I’ve ever been to was called Pinz in Minnesota!! Hope they renovate your bowling alleys soon!!

Lol boyfriend kicked my ass when we went mini-golfing too but I wasn’t as bad at it as I thought I would be. You guys have a ton of fun things in store for your future, I just know it. ❤ Movies are kind of lame now that they cost so much–a move night at home is just as snuggly and romantic!

      1. I mean now that I think about it, they have a small arcade with a few games and a pool table. But it’s really old school because it was built sometime in the 80’s I think lol. And ohh that’s cool! I’ve never been to a fancy one haha. Ours hasn’t changed in years! But there is a bar attached, so I guess that’s something LOL.

Haha well the important part is that you have fun! (: and awww I hope so! I feel like we just may ☺️ and true! Movies are a little lame, but we do have $5 movie Mondays up in my town, and I really don’t take advantage of that haha. But yeah I actually prefer just snuggling at home 😂☺️

  3. These look like a lot of fun. My husband and I used to go out to concerts several times a year, I really miss going lol. Bowling is freaking fun, of course my husband and I are super competitive haha

    1. Boyfriend and I have actually never been to like a real celebrity’s concert! We want to though except he’s into rock music and I like…Justin Bieber lol. And bowling is super fun! I’m not too competitive there because I’m really bad at bowling but in the laser tag room…I get mad at children sometimes LOL.

      1. lol we’ve gone to so many, the bands we’ve seen can technically be called “popular” as their music is played on radio..but if you mean celebrities like justin bieber…i don’t like those? LOL… overpriced tickets in my opinion LMAO

    1. Hahaha we are very lazy too, a lot of these pictures are really old but I looove going out to do these still when ever we do.
There are SO many live shows here in Vegas and we haven’t been to one out here yet, I can’t wait til we do! Hopefully you and your man get to experience a live show somewhere, somehow! 🙂

    1. Lol right? As cheesy as it may sound; as long as I’m with my man it’s a good date! 🙂 The circus was interesting, hope you find one to attend near you soon! ❤
