Chunky Beef Chili:
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 2.5/5
There was nothing in this chili besides beef. Where were the beans and the veggies? We definitely thought it was odd that we weren’t buying beans for chili but we thought we wouldn’t miss it once the dish was all put together but this dish really seemed incomplete.
Ingredients needed:
4 lb boneless chuck roast
2 T chili powder
2 (6 oz) cans tomato paste
1 (32 oz) container beef broth
2 (8 oz) cans tomato sauce
2 t granulated garlic
1 t ground oregano
1 t ground cumin
1 t paprika
1 t onion powder
1/4 t ground red pepper

Skillet Chicken and Broccoli Pasta:
Forgot to take a pic, OOPS!
Rating: ⭐️⭐️ 2/5
This was bland and soggy. The chicken was dry and should have asked for more seasoning.
Ingredients Needed:
1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast
1/2 yellow onion
Olive oil
3-4 cloves of garlic
1/2 lb pasta (we used egg noodles)
2 3/4 c chicken stock
Small head of broccoli (we used frozen florets)
Juice of 1 lemon

Chicken Thighs Braised in Mushroom Sauce:
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3.5/5
The sauce didn’t turn out correctly for us. Boyfriend doesn’t know what he did wrong but he said he doesn’t blame the recipe. The chicken was seasoned well anyways and even without the sauce I enjoyed the chicken.
Ingredients needed:
2 lbs bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
8 oz baby bella mushrooms, sliced
1 T olive oil
1/2 onion, finely diced
1/2 carrot, finely diced
1 clove garlic, minced
3 c or so of chicken stock (you can also sub in 1 cup white wine if you’re not feeding the kiddies)
1 sprig rosemary
Cornstarch for thickening

Chicken Noodle Soup:
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3.5/5
The recipe does not call for enough broth at all, definitely add more than it says to if you make this. Ours still tasted pretty good though.
Ingredients needed:
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 (32 oz) box chicken broth or stock
3 cloves garlic whole if you want to remove them later, or run them through a garlic press
2 celery stalks cut into 3″ pcs. if you want to take them out, or sliced if you want to eat them in the soup.
1 c frozen crinkle cut carrots
2 t dried parsley
1/2 bag egg noodles (use 1/2 a 12 oz bag)

LOL I’m sure it would have been if we made it correctly, it smelled yummy but it didn’t taste good.

I am suitably impressed, it is great to see you being adventurous with recipes and even better you share the results.
I love chili without beans but I think your recipe would have been better if it was served in bread bowls!!

Thank you!! I am blushing because you are impressed. 🙂 Bread bowls sound awesome, I don’t know if we’d be successful in baking those!? It’s surprising that so many people eat chili without beans!

I hate beans LOL, Yeah I would cheat and buy the bread bowls. Technically you are making then when you slice off the top and pull out the middle 😛
