Oh my goodness, thank you for all the book titles! I will have to check them out. I finished Shoe Dog a few days ago, which was the memoir by the found of Nike. It was really good! Maybe it’s a book that’s up your alley?

    1. Mhm, I have one under my right armpit, it’s a small pot leaf. Lol. My other one is on my upper left forearm, the quote: “He offered her the world, she said she had her own.” πŸ™ƒ

What tattoos do you have? πŸ’–

    1. Yes, yes let’s be friends! πŸ˜ŠπŸ’—

Honestly my only friend in real life is my bf, my best friend lives in another state but even when we did live in the same state we never really saw each other. It’s hard for to make and keep friends for some reason. πŸ˜• I like interacting with people here on WordPress, too! ☺️

  1. #29 is me. I hate the way people drive here, it makes me too nervous, so I prefer being driven everywhere by my brother πŸ™‚ But the problem with that is I hate the way HE drives (too fast and rough)…. so it’s a dilemma lol. Lovely blog x

    1. Oh the way people drive here is so crazy, too! There are a lot of drunk drivers since it IS Vegas haha. My boyfriend drives super fast and rough too but hey, he’s never been in an accident and he doesn’t have the anxiety like I do, so I try not to scream too much, lol. Whereabouts are you from? If you don’t mind me asking. 😊

Thank you for stopping by. πŸ’–

No friends either but I have a boyfriend who makes it okay! Love your blog and I love reading your posts!

  3. OMG, how did I not remember to follow you before?! It’s so great getting to know you a little better, since we have only chatted over my comment section! We have a few things in common. As you may have noticed, my favorite color is pink. I attended one private school, two middle schools and one high school, I moved a lot as well. I used to go to the movies by myself all the time because I worked and studied in the city and I had a flexible schedule. On Tuesday, there was this great discount and you could get a ticket to any movie for 2.50€ which is about $3, I think. I would go and enjoy being in the dark, in the middle of the afternoon, in a mostly empty room, watching a movie in peace πŸ™‚ I am SO curious about your job!! I have a super open mind so, for me, your work is just like any other kind of work. Same as cutting hair or teaching or working in a store. I must ask some questions, if you don’t mind. You only need to answer them if you are comfortable enough to do so! Do you have a special contract in your line of work? How are the hours? Is it flexible? Do you choose your outfits or do you have to wear what they pick for you? Do you do pole dancing?? I would LOVE to learn pole dancing! Please don’t say you don’t have any friends. I’m sure you have made quite a few online! Count me in πŸ™‚ ❀

    1. We do have a lot in common, wow! I really do think pink is the best color ever. Ah and I can’t believe you used to go to movies alone, too…whew! I thought it was just me, lol.

It makes me happy to know that you have an open mind about my job!!! As you may know, a lot of people don’t. πŸ˜› I love questions, I don’t mind that you asked at all!

Some places will make you sign a special contract. In Minnesota there was a club I worked at that stated in their contract that we needed to work our full shifts at least 3 days a week (of your choosing) and that we would not work at any other clubs in Minnesota as a dancer. Minnesota is a smaller state with maybe 6 or so clubs–they are more strict with your hours and they make you stay all night until the club closes unless you pay a pretty hefty fee to leave. Starting hours are pretty much set in stone, there is one starting time and after that they charge you by the hour of how late you are. They’re more strict because they can be. There aren’t a lot of clubs to go to if you break the rules at one club and they need to be strict with their hours because there aren’t many dancers employed so if they all leave whenever there would be too many times where there were no dancers at all working and that wouldn’t be so good for the club lol.

In Las Vegas, there are NO special contracts once you are hired and you come and go as you please. The prices we pay to get in do vary and are cheaper if we come in earlier but it’s not a ridiculous amount that it goes up by like in Minnesota and you don’t get a stern talking to lol. More like we are rewarded with a smaller fee if we come in early, not punished for being late. So it is VERY flexible here in Vegas, I truly make my own schedule but… it is not always that way everywhere.

I choose my outfits. They are allowed to tell us they don’t like an outfit we have chosen or they are allowed to say something like “no ripped fishenets” “no jean shorts” “no two pieces, gowns only” but they never choose our outfits. We do have to wear the heels. They do not allow street heels for longer than a week of you working there at every club I’ve worked at. I visited Denver, CO and did see a lot of street heels though (in the 18+ clubs)…the heels made for dancers are so comfortable, I don’t know why they chose not to wear them.

I dance around and use the pole a lot but can only do a few tricks, though I prefer not to. Since they hurt and I’m afraid of heights. I only pull the tricks out when I’m on a floor level stage and not too many people are watching. I am more of a slow and sensual dancer which in my experience men like just as much. πŸ™‚ The first club I worked at didn’t even have a pole on their main stage. Pole dancing is a great workout and they are making tons of fitness classes around it!! Maybe you could try it one day. Also they have poles you can buy for your home that won’t damage the ceilings or floor at all on Amazon (but I know you hate them right now lol).

I quite literally have NO friends except for my boyfriend in real life, but yes, here on WP I have met quite a few people who feel like friends to me. πŸ™‚ Hehe, and I would love to have you as one. ❀ ❀

Thanks so much for visiting my blog and I'm so happy you liked it–never hesitate to ask any other questions you may have!! I really don't mind answering. πŸ™‚

  4. Nice to know a little bit more about you, Hunida!
I love dancing myself. What a joy to be able to make a living out of something you love – I assume you love dancing as well. I am currently taking belly dancing classes and it is very interesting.
Can’t believe you never tried sushi before – but hey, now you know how good they are!
I hear you about friendships and trying to recreate them when you have to move often. I need time to open to new people and I’m terrible at chit-chatting (“what a beautiful weather we have” that kind of platitudes).
Pink is always a good colour to wear as it will make you look healthy, so good choice!
    green tea ice cream, yum!!!!
May I ask how you connect to your Cambodian roots? Do you want to go there one day?

    1. Aw, thank you so much for reading!! πŸ™‚ ❀ I do love dancing! Belly dancing is so beautiful, that's so awesome that you're taking lessons!!

Yeah I was scared of sushi at first but I'm ever so glad I gave it a shot again. I love nothing more now!

Ah yes…I'm terrible at creating and maintaining friendships! :-/

I never knew that pink made you look healthy, that's really interesting!!!

Both of my parents were born in Cambodia. I've never been but I think I'll visit someday, yes. πŸ™‚
